Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

Cool. I just didn't even think about it before.

Being a tanuki, we'd probably get along super well if I wasn't so... me...

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

He's a dryad? That's interesting.

And yes, he's teaching Rakki music. Or, teaching him to enjoy music, really.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

Vai, can I borrow the Laser Harp?

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

The only reason Rakki is fast is because there were stories about Tanuki being uncatchably fast. He's way too chill to use it, so don't worry about that.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

You guys wanna just fade out on the pool scene? I don't have a whole lot more to add, really.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

"Haha! I would've just taken your word for it ya know." He grins over the tidal shifts of bright blue before one washes over his head from behind.

He comes back up with a gasp before aiming a splash at Gavin and Janie.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

Rakki takes a dive into the wave pool, surfacing soon after and bobbing with the waves.

"Hah! This is awesome. Maybe some time we could go to the ocean in my... well, nevermind. I guess I don't have a skimmer any more... But we could... well no that's gone too..."

He pauses for a moment, looking into the rising and falling water around him.

"This... this is good too. I uh... I'm glad I met you guys."

"Cause it's all fun and games until the teachers show up!" she said, laughing. "Well, I can call up some wind and turn this into a wave pool without any danger of electrocuting anybody if you wanna do that."

Rakki steps around the edge of the pool, arms out wide. "Knew you could do it." He flashes that charming smile before his hands go to his hips. "Wave pool sounds fun to me. Just like the ocean back home. Do wish it was salt water, though. This blue stuff always just feels so weird."

I'm so bad at flirting. He's supposed to be a lot better than me at that.

It's made of elven silk, but that doesn't mean I can't end you with it.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

Rakki looks in surprise at the giant palm he is now contained in. "Well, that's uh... neat... thanks." He flops out of the elan's hand, landing in the pool with a sploosh as Janie starts to get concerned. "Oh, uh, ok."

He quickly does his best to climb out of the pool, climbing straight onto the edge instead of going for a ladder.

"You need some help?" He calls to Janie while looking back to Gavin. "Can you climb out like that?"

He snaps and all three of the snakes disappear in a large puff of the white smoke his powers tend to be accompanied by.

What does Gavin look like in armor?

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

Rakki smiles, actually genuinely at being part of those two being happy. It had been a while since he'd meant a smile. Smiling is easy when you don't mean it. Not smiling is harder when you do.

The Tanuki gives a small hop and lands between the giant snakes, sliding down quickly. As he nears the bottom, he gives a whistle and the two scaley slides lift their coils, aiming him upwards. With a holler he takes off upwards, sailing across the pool. "Whooo-ooohh-nonono!" What starts out as a whoop of fun quickly turns to panic as he nears the concrete edge of the pool, flying at it dangerously fast.

"We gotta put em side by side!" he says, laughing.
Janie frowned and chewed on her lip and then a large wind blew through the room creating a huge wave that brought the snakes closer together. "Hmm. Uhh...this may take a little more concentration than I anticipated."

The snakes are concious beasts, or at least well controlled and take direction easily. The two with Janie and Rakki slither out of the pool and up, each biting onto a wall fixture to anchor themselves. The one Gavin was on leans next to those to act as an elevator to the top.

"Maybe just a small raincloud at the top to get water flowing down?"

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

Even the largest splash Gavin was likely to generate wasn't enough to make the enormous serpent falter, especially considering it being at home in the water.

A second and third snake rise up from the water underneath Janie and Gavin, albeit with them sitting and not standing like he'd been.
"Will this do?"
He grins with his arms crossed, obviously quite pleased with himself and their reaction.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

Rakki is really the only one I should worry about reaching any sort of limits because he shows off too much. But then again, I'm still debating whether or not I gave Tanuki like waaay too many power points anyways.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

Rakki takes the chained wallet from his pocket and tosses it onto a poolside chair as he takes a shirt run and jumps into the water fully clothed. He's under for a moment, and there's a pop sound from under the water. Thousands of small bubbles drift up through the water, each releasing a small puff of the quickly dissipating white smoke, similar to when his guitar vanished or he summoned the bottle of soda.

When he resurfaces, he's not wearing the same clothes he jumped in with, but a pair of black swim-shorts with a green stripe down one side and a blue to the other. He continues to rise past where he should be able to, and a large serpent breeches the water under his feet, supporting him as he stands on its head. It's gigantic and has like a coral snake sort of pattern in light blue, black, grey, black, light blue, black, and so on.

Anyone especially perceptive would notice he seems slightly more toned in muscle than he was before, but maybe it was just the clothes.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

"Floats, probably ya. Not sure about slides. They're not technically real snakes, so whatever we can manage with them. Slides maybe not, because you're just about as likely to fall off a side than make it down. But, I mean, never tried it before, soo..."

He trails off, adding a shrug.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

"I can't even remember the last time I went swimming."

The popstar sets his hands in his pockets, following Janie, his tail swishing back and forth. Really that was a lie, but it had been so long he could say it with a straight face.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

"The snakes are bigger around than a tree trunk, so maybe not the best for in door use. They're actually more aquatic, but they work most places. Just not small ones."

His thumbs hang from his pickets as he follows Janie. He shuffles Gavin's hair with a grin. "Don't worry man. It'll be fun."

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

The fallen star thinks for a moment, his mouth wiggling a little as he mulls it over for a sec. He stands and takes a swig from his soda before following.
"Sure. Sounds like it could be fun. Just let me know if you want any giant snakes or tigers." He grins as well, the same troublemaker's glint in his eyes as Janie has.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

"Well I speak for the continent when I say thank you for your continued self control."

He nods and flashes a peace sign as they leave.

"See ya around."

He doesn't make a move to follow as they seem to intend to do their own thing, but he may come with if they ask. He's sort of hard to pin down in that most of his actions are a reasonably well played persona he's constructed.

"Sure! Janie says I should listen to more types of music, I can listen to yours too, I guess?"
I typed that, now have Jane says stuck in my head...

"Yeah, sounds pretty awesome to me," Janie agrees. "Learning new music styles is one of the best things about this school."

A not so subtle wind raced through the cafeteria, discouraging a rowdy group of boys from sitting down next to Gavin and Janie. She gave them some definite side-eye, but was at least attempting to avoid an actual fight. For now.
"Gavin, you been having trouble with Helt in classes and stuff or is it me he's trying to irritate?"

"Sure. If there's one thing I have, it's albums. And some other stuff if you end up liking it."

He takes a swig of the bright orange soda.
"So, weather, huh? I've got a little nature stuff myself, but it never kept a concert from being rained out. There was a month or two it happened so often I was almost afraid the tour dates on the Sun would too." He laughs at the irony of raining on the Sun.

"Oh, cool. That must have been fun. Sorry I haven't heard any of your music. My village is really small and kinda insulated," she said with a shrug and an eyeroll. "I only learned drums because it was one of the few socially acceptable activities for a weather witch. They have soooo many rules. Anyhow, I'll be sure to look up some recordings and stuff now that I know your name. I love listening to new stuff. So many different styles of music to try, so little time to get to them all! Umm....at the risk of sounding even more stupid than usual....what's an autograph?"

"That's ok..." He tries not to seem disappointed but his shoulders fall just a little bit on hearing neither of them actually knew him. "I've got some music crystals back in my room if you guys wanna listen some time."

He takes a leaf out of the wallet thing and stows the wallet as he shakes the maple leaf with his other hand much like a developing polaroid. With a puff of white smoke the leaf is gone and replaced with a bottle of pale orange soda he immediately stops shaking. It seems to come from the leaf already chilled and he pops the top of it with his thumb that for just a moment is topped with a bottle opener.
"Well, an autograph is a signature of someone famous, usually to prove that you've been in contact with them, but sometimes of value on their own. I don't know why people want them, I just sign it."
Apologies for not taking the weather witch intro. Rakki just really likes to talk about himself...

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

"I was the professional musician. As our friend said, Rakki Okane. Afraid I don't have anything on me for autographs, but I'm going to be here for a while if you'd like to get back to me."

He doesn't seem to be rude intentionally. He's very sure of himself in a rather practiced way. As if he was expecting to be bombarded with pictures of himself to sign at any moment.

He's still listening as he pulls a small sort of wallet type thing from a chain on his hip. He starts to quite literally leaf through it as it seems to be filled with different types of fresh green leaves.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

The boy with the messy hair shakes his head slightly, shuffling his perfectly imperfect locks. It took a lot of time and care to look like you didn't care.
"Touring is never easy. But that does help. Everything else still takes, er, took hours." He's still having a hard time speaking about it in past tense.
He nods affably to the other new addition of Gavin.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

The saucy guitarist winks back to his impromptu drummer. "Sneak preview just for you." He smiles and chucks the guitar carelessly into the air. Before it starts to fall, it vanishes into a puff of white smoke and a leaf flits down through the air in its place.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

Oh, look, a perfect place to put another large part of my inspiration.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

The Tanuki looks up from his absent fretting on the guitar to the new accompaniment he had. Not exactly what he was looking for, but he had given up on being paparazzi-d about 20 minutes ago.

He smiles slightly and his tail flicks behind, an affectation he had taken to displaying after his conversation with Florence and the realization that people here see a LOT weirder stuff daily.

With table accompaniment he starts into a song: Right here.

Differences: Male vocals of course, "human man" in first line changed to "Hey there man," it's acoustic, and there's less struggling in the solo.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

Just wait. I have interactions with Mel in mind. I had Mel in mind when I made the character.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

Rakki has adjusted to Avalon for the most part. He spends a lot of time by the lake as a tiger, sunning himself. That was something he missed. So much of tour life happened at night and he'd gotten used to sleeping during the day. Being able to be out and in the sun was pleasant.

At the moment, he's in the cafeteria, playing a guitar. He's leaned up against a wall strumming tunes and pretending to not be obvious, hoping a fan or someone will recognize him in his incognito obviousness, so that he can pretend to be casual about being recognized when it was really the reason he wasn't somewhere else actually trying not to be noticed.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

We missed you, Foxy-Chan. :P

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

"Soooo..."
He rocks back and forth on his heels, not sure what to do next.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

"Guess we don't have any common classes, then. Oh well."
He shrugs.
"You're kinda the first person I've gotten to talk to here. Maybe if you're ever gonna go somewhere over a weekend maybe, I could tag along?"

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

He stows the book back in his wallet.
"What've you got?"

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

"An active class is required. Frankly I could teach dance class, but I prefer that to working out and running laps."

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

"I dissagree, but understand and respect your view point."
He states simply, trying to illicit a laugh.
He draws the wallet thing and removes a book from it with a puff of smoke.
"I've got Dance that I missed first block, botany, and music, then lunch, then nature magic, transmution, and advanced illusions."

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

Neither do I.
Let's just assume that if they have one in common it's at the same time.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

"Whoever said anything about a relationship? And who said you can't do both? Exotic new locations only add to the experience."
He checks a watch he may or may not have had before.
"Class is going to start again before too long. What do you have next?"
He looks up to the artificial sky.
"End simulation."

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

Maybe, but she had far more efficiency. Rakki would spend turns setting up for more impressive moves. Go ahead. It's a tough roll to beat anyways.
"Take my word for it. It is most definitely fun. Especially when you're flexible."
He stretches.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

Want to each roll, say, 5d20? Average 50.
5d20 ⇒ (9, 20, 9, 12, 18) = 68If so.
"Yet another thing I recommend you try. Especially considering you don't have to worry about daily things like food and clothes. More time for fun."
He looks up and addresses the room.
"Could you tell us how many targets each of us defeated?"
A pair of numbers appear in the sky as the polite voice reads them off.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

"I mean have you ever hooked up with anyone."
He looks around, checking to see if there are any more zombies.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

He shifts back into his human form with his tail swishing back and forth and his hands behind his head with his fingers laced.
"That's not really what I was refering to..."

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

Could you elaborate on what she meant by that?

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

::Can't believe you can't think of anything. I mean, have you ever::
He lands a couple feat away, shifts into human form and raises his eyebrows twice before turning a cartwheel and back into the shuriken, circling the last zombie, but not killing it.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

::And that's cool, but what's something you have alway wanted to try?
There has to be something.::
The shuriken continues spinning and taking out the last few zombies, save for one.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

"If you do learn that, what's in it for him?"
He rolls off the side of the branch, shifting back into the shuriken and taking out one or two more.
::Looking for a nice pair of heels, maybe?::
He asks Nate telepathically.

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

::That sounds like there is something.~♪::
The giant shuriken thunks heavily into a tree and he appears in a puff of smoke on a branch rather like this.
"C'mon. What is it?"

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

::That's just a little sad. Is there anything you've ever wanted to try?::

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

"You don't have anything else you enjoy?"
A puff of smoke vanishes the shuriken and another turns him into one.
It spins rapidly in the air and hurls through a zombie.
::That's always been a bit more satisfying than throwing one.::

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

Can also fly, so running on water is really just for showing off...

Male Tanuki Bard/Monk16

Cool.
Rakki can too.
40 base + 80 monk. ^_^
Then there's the 4 times for run action and the 3 times on that at a Ki cost.

Makes me really happy that 120 was the number I got first. ^_^
