Primketh listens to the strange monologue from the aged, milky-eyed kobold. He looks like he wants to ask questions but the kobold falls limp.

”Well that was their last breath. That speech was...strange and foreboding. Nighttail, do you know anything about this ‘Aeteperax’? Rolf, I don’t really know how to use that weapon, but it’d be good to keep with us.”
Primketh then peers intently down the hallway, looking for hazards of any kind.

I finally just got some time today to sit down and do my PbP games and ... I feel queasy from something I ate, and can't concentrate. I'm gonna see if a nap helps and hopefully post a bit later tonight.

Definitely still interested in continuing this campaign if the GM wants to. I like this character a lot (never been the sneaky-traps-guy AND the divine full caster before) and his interplay with his "leader" Rolf.

Hey all, I've had a very busy last couple of workdays and I'm also feeling kinda queasy right now. I'll try to post later tonight when I get home but it might not be until tomorrow.

Primketh gets guidance going again on Tabin.

"I don't see any pesky traps about, so that's good. Tabin, you still have some of my magical guidance, correct?" Primketh casts guidance again and holds the charge, ready to use it on Tabin again, or Rolf if he moves back (just don't want to get in Tabin's line of fire).

Primketh stays back and scans the room as carefully as he can, looking for traps and/or anything else interesting/unusual/otherwise of note. (I'll use both my move and standard actions.)

I gotta keep my posts short and sweet this week because I'm flying out of town Thursday night for the weekend and I have a big project at work I have to have done before I leave. And I've got things going on every night after work this week as well.

I'll try to post Thursday day sometime (and Wednesday if applicable), then I probably won't post again until Monday.

Hey y'all, it's my birthday today AND I have to work late because of some tight deadlines. I've got plans after work (when I can actually leave) so what I'm getting at is: I won't be able to make time to post today. I apologize, and I'll post tomorrow for sure.

I know I've been extra quiet in this campaign lately; I intend to change that ASAP.

Primketh raises a catlike eyebrow as Rolf mentions the wand of cure light wounds. ”That’d be very handy indeed...save me some of my precious spells per day. How do you propose we go about, um, liberating these items without too much fuss?”

Primketh catches Rolf's eye and gives his leader a quick nod of approval regarding his approach.

Primketh is woozy as he drinks the potion, then perks right back up. "Ah yes, thank you Rolf! Much better indeed. I suppose this shows that I need to be a bit more wary and check more diligently for pits and such." Primketh uses his cat-like climbing skills to get back out of the pit, then waits for his comrades to cross before advancing any further.

REF: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 Worse than the initial roll, darn. Oh well.

"Meowch!" says Primketh as he hits the floor of the pit, followed by "Ooof!" as the boulders tumble onto him. "I ... don't ... feel so great ..."

Might've used cat's luck but I need to declare it before the initial roll. Staggered at 0 HP

I'm leaving for another backpacking trip (gotta get one more in before Summer's over!) Saturday morning 8/31 and will return Monday 9/2. Probably won't post again until Tuesday 9/3.

My profile is current. I have one 1st-level spell slot left, and besides that, I have a variety of scrolls. Otherwise, guidance is a staple.

Primketh nods at Tabin, then uses the cure spell on Jaeqil instead.

"I'm nearly tapped out of magic for the day, but before we use that potion I can spare a spell for you, Tabin." Primketh then casts cure light wounds on Tabin.

Noticing the intentional lack of eye contact between the prisoners and himself and Jaeqil, Primketh decides not to address them, being all too familiar with this kind of discrimination.

"Yes, Rolf my good leader, let's be sure the coasting is completely transparent before we exit." Primketh's cat-face brightens into a slight smile.

Southwest and on to the other door sounds great.

Hey all, I'm going to be on a backpacking trip in the Grand Tetons from 8/21 (tomorrow) through 8/25. I won't be able to post again after today until Monday 8/26.

Not particularly wanting to squeeze into a very crowded place, Primketh delays.

Primketh withdraws back down the narrow stairway.

Not seeing any good reason this moment to use any more powerful magic while battling these kobolds, Primketh once again casts guidance on Tabin.

Primketh casts bless and steps back five feet.

Primketh carefully (apparently not so much) approaches the stairs, looking for traps or anything else of note.

"I can help get you patched up, Jaeqil." Primketh casts cure light wounds and touches Jaeqil.

Stairs sounds good.

”Tabin, you still have some magical guidance if you’d like help with another shot, although you made short work of that last rat just fine!” I don’t want to get in Tabin’s line of fire; perhaps if I hug the wall I can get Jaeqil too…

Primketh casts guidance then squeezes against the wall and touches Jaeqil.

If I’m noticing things correctly, I shouldn’t be in your way of shooting at yellow rat, although I think Jaeqil is.

"May my magic help guide your bow once more, Tabin!"

Primketh moves up to Tabin and casts guidance.

”Eh, too crowded in there for color spray! They don’t seem any more dangerous than those kobolds anyway.”

Primketh casts guidance on Tabin then moves out of the way.

Again—I knew there was danger! Primketh freezes up for a moment at the sight of the rats. He then finds his wits and activates coat of many stars. ”I may try to try to take some of them out with a color spray, if I can find a good spot to aim it!”

”Very well, Jaeqil; south it shall be. Let me just look about for a minute to see if there are any other pesky trsaps.”

Primketh cautiously moves into the chamber a bit, and keeps up his self-cast light and guidance and continues inspecting the area.

"Phew! Nice work, team. That sling ball smarted a bit but I think I'm still feeling good enough to carry on for now. I doubt these little kobolds have much gear we'd care about but we might as well check anyway, yeah? While you stronger fellows do that I'll head to the tunnel leading northwest and check again for traps. Rolf my good leader, would you care to check for magic in the area?"

Primketh keeps up his self-cast light and guidance and continues inspecting the area.

"Once more for luck, Tabin!"

Guidance on Tabin again.

"Tabin, there's one left standing and he's up on the other ledge; perhaps this will help you shoot it down?"

Primketh runs over to Tabin and casts guidance on the halfling.

Primketh moves nearer the other group of kobolds and a bridge of shimmering moonlight appears at his feet, reaching to the edge of the ledge the kobolds are standing on. (Trying to account for 3D; it is 20' long and goes up 10'. Not sure if I should draw it like this or 5' longer.)

Damn, I just remembered my moonlight bridge ability. I'll get Jaeqil a ramp up to them on my next turn!

Primketh blinks for half a heartbeat, surveying the situation. We’re outnumbered but they didn’t seem especially skilled in battle; let’s see if I can take this group out! He then hustles into—not away from—the room full of kobolds and with an outstretched paw-like hand, a vivid cone of clashing colors springs forth at one of the groups of ambushers! (DC 15 WILL negates)

”Hopefully that takes care of some of these for the time being! Jaeqil, Tabin—there are more around the corner!”

It’s hard to tell with the placement of tokens if I can hit all of either of the groups of three, which is what I’d like to do. Some tokens are kind of halfway inside two squares. I’d like to hit three at once, whether it’s the top group or the right-hand group. There's the other 15' cone template available on the slide if needed.

Primketh freezes like a cat in the headlights. I KNEW they were there, but I was literally powerless to do anything about it!

Primketh whispers, ”Well they know we’re here, so we might as well be cautious. If they get impatient and attack...well...I’ll just step behind Jaeqil and Tabin as quick as I can. For now, I’m going to continue searching for more traps." Primketh keeps up his self-cast light and guidance and continues inspecting the area.

Hey all, I'm leaving for a camping trip tomorrow (Thursday) morning and won't be back until Sunday night. Probably can't update until Monday. Happy Independence Day to everyone.

”Hm, no traps yet, as far as I can tell. Rolf my good leader, can you see if there’s any magic about?”

"I'd be happy to inspect for any nasty little traps set by these kobolds, Rolf my good man."

Primketh cautiously approaches the tunnel that the kobolds didn't flee down, casts light on his shield, guidance on himself, and meticulously inspects for traps.

Primketh surveys the situation in silence with a furrowed cat-brow."What say you, my leader Rolf? How do you suggest we approach?"

As I've noted before, I've been having a bit of a hard time IRL and haven't felt motivated to post as much as I did a while back. One of those "I don't even like anything I like" situations. But I don't want to quit; I'm sure it'll pass. It always does. I like Rolf's suggestions.

Primketh’s brow raises in an expression of concern as he hands over the gold. ”Druid and his wife?”

He then quickly turns to Rolf. ”My good leader, have we come across a druid and his wife?”

Turning back to the priestess, he asks, ”Could you describe this druid and his wife?”

Primketh nods at Rolf as the two make their way to the “buyers” line, trying not to block the flow of customers. Not having much in the way of knowledge regarding appraising objects or Abadar himself, Primketh just tries to use his innate charm on the priestess.

Four scrolls of, um, Primketh clears his throat, infernal healing, if you please. I’ll also take one scroll each of bless, and weapons against evil. Hearing Rolf order up a scroll of summon monster I Primketh decides that’s not a bad tool to have and asks for another for himself.

”I’ll gladly walk with you to find scrolls, Rolf my fearless leader!” Primketh strolls alongside Rolf to the House of Abadar.

”Physical might is valued in your culture, but oh, the wonders of magic!.. And I personally think that Baba Yaga is much more interesting than just another brute who can swing a battle axe. I think your papa meant it as a literal compliment, my good man!” Primketh’s gaze absently turns to the heavens as his thoughts turn to the power of magic. I wonder what Rolf and I will become capable of if we keep adventuring and learning together?

Not being very strong himself, he helps as best he can to push open the heavy doors. ”Alright, let’s see what we can find! Some scrolls will be quite handy as we’re polishing our adventuring skills and honing our magical powers.”

Once inside…

”Rolf, let’s move to the ‘buyers’ line, this way. Oh, and how well do you usually do at appraising the value of objects, treasure, and the like? I have a feeling the clergy here would be impressed if one of us demonstrated some skill with appraisal. I also get the feeling that if you know anything about Abadar and show respect for the clergy’s faith and practices, that would go a long way in securing their trust.”

I’ll let you know when I decide which scrolls I’d like to purchase.
