![]() I was thinking about building a Vigilante with an Executioner motif. I wanted him to have a big old beheading ax and a feel similar to the unstoppable slashers in horror films (Jason, Mike Myers). Is there any stats for an executioners ax? Do you folks have any suggestions for the build? I've gotten a little overwhelmed by all my options! ![]()
![]() My players are so very eager to start this adventure path as they are just finishing up Hells Rebels and they want to jump right into Hell's Vengeance. My question is what would you folks who've played and GMed this campaign recommend I do in order to make the game run smoothly and keep interest going. In other words what would you do differently and what worked for you? I understand the importance of imparting a philosophy of cooperation and a wiliness to accept orders as a group to be very vital for this path do you folks have anything else to add for me? ![]()
![]() So I need to make a Brawler for one of my players. He needs to be human or half orc and I sold the player on an unarmed\manoeuvre master. I thought a big burly guy tossing guys off ships sounded fun so did he. My problem is my players mock my builds can anyone give me some advice? This build should be good for this AP right? ![]()
![]() My girlfriend is playing a Ursula type witch in this AP. Her Familiar is a Blue-ringed Octopus. I didn't read all the way down in the description and I let it walk around on the ship, i guess there only supposed to be water animals. My question is did I make it too powerful if I let it survive on land as well? My girlfriend isn't a power gamer she'll never have the beast in combat and she mostly wants it for comic relief. It often hangs on her pretending to be exotic jewelery. ![]()
![]() Okay I posted this on The Herald of the Ivory Labyrinth page and got nothing. Maybe nobody saw it? Can anybody help? Spoiler:
If Planar Travel is shunted to a handful of locations Like the Arrival Plaza in the ivory Labyrinth does that also mean summoned creatures would go there as well instead of their intended spot? How does this work? I say no but I player says yes. ![]()
![]() So I've been rping for years with pretty much the same group, we've gained a few and lost a few players here and there. Adding new people has always been a bit of a chore with me the GM being the decider. Anyways, I've grown up and had a kid. My son is 12 and has enjoyed playing with me in our bi-weekly solo game for 2 years now. But every other Saturday he sits out while the adults play "Pretend" with out him. I want to included him in my long running group but half of my players are boycotting the decision by threatening to leave the game. Whats worse is my son already made a character and overheard some of the talk about others not wanting to play with him. I strongly feel as the kid should play but my friends are very dear to me as well. Any advice? Has anyone else gone through this? I'm pretty sure I'm adding him to the group and rebuilding as needed. I can't run multiple games with multiple groups at the moment. ![]()
![]() Ive just started a new campaign with a GM who allowed a player to make his own race. It was only After playing the first night i discovered this. The player says the race is "around" Aasimar build level, i assume that's 15 points give or take a point. My problem is the rest of the party is 8 to 10 bp by playing standard races, i wasn't told that building my own race was an option. When i brought this up to the GM and player they laughed and told me how the gm had to override the players previous characters due to things like perfect flight and othet such stuff. After asking some more questions i learned that the GM hadn't read the race builder section. I brougt up balance the GM said he'd kill my character so that i could have my own race. I'll admit i got upset, which was embarrassing, i feel as a fellow GM that the playing feild should be level. I brougt up letting the standard races pick race traits that follow the build rules for Advanced races with a flex limit of 1 point above or below the homebrew race. The gm is really hesitant to allow this. What do you think? Am i making a big deal out of nothing? ![]()
![]() So one of my mythic players wants to jump on a flying dragons back and do awful things to it with hs sword. What sort of rolls would be required? Obviously jump, he says ride, i say acrobatics vs cmd. Once on the dragons back can the dragon attack the player full round action or can he not reach the player, is it a graple check? What should i be considering? ![]()
![]() Okay so I resolved my issues with my player over the Necro and we both agreed his character would be limited in the scope of WotW path. So he is going to play the Ranger with a Worg companion. My issues is now the newest member (the 6th member) of our group wants to join after missing 3 adventures and most of the first path (Players are Lv 4). This new guy wants to play a Magus and he wants to play a Bladebound. My issues are multiple I’d like to see what others think. First the level 19 lifedrinker ability seems a little…evil. I guess its just the name but if I told one player he cant play a Necro can I tell another it’s okay to wield a weapon that DRInKS SOULS!? I mean to put it in perspective yeah your swords flaming…that’s cool, got a Bane staff cool, your sword drinks souls! That’s scary and I myself feel damn evil! Next he misses out on 4 levels of action and waltzs in the game and gets an intelligent weapon?! Doesn’t seem fair to the Paladin who had to fight for her weapon. Or the Barbarian who has fought every fight and has yet to receive a magic item besides the scales. Finally I think the Magus is a power gamer’s delight of a character class. I mean Spells, fighting, auto magic weapon that levels up. I have a well known aversion to power gamers (I try to embrace all gamers) I’ve played with them before and I accepted one already into my group I just don’t know if I can handle another. For the record I never try to target my players unless the story demands it. I don’t want to feel like its me VS you. I want to build a story together with my players. ![]()
![]() Can anyone help? I have a player who wants to play a ranger with a warg compaion. Is there anyway according to the rules to do this? My understanding is there is no way to do this? His alternate idea is a mage specializing in necromncy. We are about to play the newest adventure path with a LG paladin and cleric is there anyway to put him in the group without everyone killing each other. The player thinks that he is not evil, but I need to knw is he? |
