LOL d8 actually turned out being more damage.

P.T. goes after the next target with his sword, trying to make quick work of this encounter.

To Hit: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Damage: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Confirm: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Crit Damage: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12

I swear that I can never manage to confirm a crit.

P.T. lashes out with his longsword as the enemies come through the door.

To Hit AoO: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Damage AoO: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

If the green is still standing after everyone's AoO, I will attack it again for 2nd round. If not, attack on the blue

P.T. attempts to press the advantage with another strike from the sword.

P.T. moves towards the doors, readying his longsword.

Double move towards the noise.

P.T. stops in his advance to check the main entrance.

"You all better stay near to us until we can find a way to get you out. Just don't be in the way if there is more combat."

We are already heading clockwise. I say we search that way until we encounter something.

"I agree with Caladin. We must move forward. We can check the main doors that we entered through to see if these people can get clear."

"Please return to your homes people. I don't believe this night is safe for you to be out."

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

I wonder if Bluedove's router gave out on her...

P.T. takes a 5 foot step in the direction of the caster, unleashing a terrible blow with his longsword.

Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

P.T. charges the front foe, attempting to strike with his drawn longsword.

It may not have been, I just assumed that it was because the area beyond was still blacked out.

With the door open, P.T. peers inside....

P.T. leans his head against the door, listening for any sounds from the other side.

P.T. moves into a position guarding the north doorway.

"Don't want anything sneaking up on us while we determine our next course of action."

I am all for tracking down the speaker since we were able to determine a rough direction. I think we have proven we are capable of hitting things. :)

"Perhaps we should check backstage."

1st round draw was my longsword. Readied attack for Round 1.

To Hit: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Confirm: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Crit: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

P.T. takes a swing at the first target coming though the door. His strike finding the mark and hitting hard.

He continues to attack, holding the line from the intruders.

To Hit: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Depending how Round 1 resolves, I might need to move forward for that second attack.

"I don't believe this is part of the act. Everyone ready yourselves!"

P.T. moves out to Okou's side, ready to face the source of the commotion.

I am headed to Chicago tomorrow and will return on Thursday. I should still have access, so I will try to post daily. If you need to bot me to move the action along, feel free.

With a keen eye for performance, P.T. wonders if there is something amiss here. As something of an artist himself, he would like to give performers the benefit of the doubt, but it would not take a virtuoso to determine that the music, vocals, and dancing of Among the Living is amateurish at best. Maybe something isn't right here...

First time playing on this character, so I won't be making any purchases due to lack of funds.

P.T. looks around, taking in the full-diversity of his new party. Having been raised by a half-orc, he immediately feels at ease.
