Greetings All!

Currently all information about things like upcoming releases, opinions and discussions are spread across a multitude of social media sites and forums. Therefore, I set up an official Discord Server for Frog God Games to make it easier to obtain said information. If you are not familiar with Discord it’s like TeamSpeak and Skype rolled up into one, and FREE!

Discord is an all-in-one voice and live text chat for gamers that is free, secure, and works for Windows, Mac, Android, IOS, and Linux. It’s built specifically for gamers in mind. I personally use it to host my two games I run each week, in conjunction with Roll20 for Grimmsgate and The Lost City of Barakus.

Zach has kindly given his permission to run the official FGG Discord channel. Goals with Discord are as follows:

1.) To combine all resources in one, easy to access place. Both through links as well as the Discord pin system.
2.) Provide separate channels for discussion of S&W, PF, and 5e.
3.) To get real-time chat with FGG players from around the world.
4.) Products, special offers, and kickstarters announced in one combined spot.
5.) Get the Frogs involvement for live chats and voice, as well as some of the content creators/reviewer folks.
6.) Get website, facebook, twitch, and twitter integration going synced with Discord.

I’ve already added in all the Free Products FGGs makes available to us as well as a few of Greg’s blog post for ease of reference and access.
So how do you get to Discord? Follow the directions down below and welcome to the community!

Step 1.) Go here Download
Step 2.) Click which is best for you Windows, Mac, Android, IOS, or Linux and download it.
Step 3.) Once it has finished downloading click the + button surrounded by a dotted circle on the left hand side
Step 4.) Click the Join a Server button and copy and paste this into it https://discord.gg/HKUZfUv
Step 5.) Say something :P

Note: If you don’t want Discord starting every time you start up your computer. Go down to your system tray (near your clock), and find the Discord icon in the currently running programs list and right click it. Uncheck “Run Discord when my computer starts up”.

My gaming group and I sat down and tried to put together a master list of Adventure Paths and Campaigns to complete before we die. We were not able to finish the list, but we would like some input from the community on some things we can tack onto the current list that we might have missed.

Guidelines:

~Must be Pathfinder Compatible. Having a fan made conversion is fine, but please provide said conversion link.
~We are trying to steer clear of modules though a few did make our list.
~We are trying to have about half be directly from Paizo Publishing as you will see on the list lots of placeholders for them.
~If it's part of a series or linked in someway it counts as 1 item on the list.

My group is about to head out on a long quest to do all the adventure paths, but we would like to do them in continuity order as far as in game years, dates, and major events occur. Does someone have a source link to how I can figure this out?

Greetings All

I'm about to run my group through RA via Roll20.net, and I was wondering if people knew of some maps for RA without the labels on them. Or Player Made maps etc.

Another question I had is we are using the Volume 1 expansion to start at low level. My plan is just sandbox the whole thing and let the players go where they may. I was wondering what XP track the players should be on slow, medium, or fast?

Any other DM advice anyone wants to throw at me for running RA is more than welcome.

Thank you for your time ladies and gentlemen.

Here is my wishlist for paizo.com website fixes I would like to see.

1.) Shipping
a.“Paizo will pay the first $10 in shipping and handling for any shipment of products totaling $100 or more”. That’s pretty cool & all, but why isn’t shipping free? I found when I make physical orders I have to pay an arm & a leg for shipping. A few months back I had an order for a bunch of your posters it cost me almost $50 dollars in shipping after the 10 dollars you took off. I appreciate the $10 dollar savings don’t get me wrong, but with a lot of online retailers now a days shipping is usually free all together.

2.) Third Party Products
a. Looking at the home page on the right hand side it’s hard to find the 3rd party stuff. There should be an entire section for 3rd party. Doesn’t have to be a cascaded breakdown like you have your own Paizo products. Just something clear and understandable. Example Main Category 3rd Party. Sub Categories Campaigns, Campaign Settings,Companion Books, Accessories, Core Books.

3.) My Account
a. Order History. There should be some kind of sort button for oldest, newest, pending. It gives me a royal headache when trying to look up my pending orders cause there is no way to sort for it.
b. Messageboard Settings. I would like to be able to add my city and state (or the appropriate information depending on where you live) and would like to be able to display that info if I selected to. Some of us are proud of where we live and want to show it off.

4.) Shopping Cart
a. When adding pdfs it seems to crawl to a snails pace when trying to add more than 30+ pdfs to the shopping cart. Also website browsing also seems to slow way down when I have bunches of items in my shopping cart.
b. Half the time I get a receipt half the time I don’t for purchasing stuff online sent to my email. I should always get an email confirmation 100% of the time.

5.) Home Page for Paizo.com
a. It’s way to “busy” on the Home Page, feels like it’s cramp. I like all the information that’s available to me. I just wish there was a better way to display it where it doesn’t feel like the text gods spewed all over my screen. And every other thing is hyperlinked (sometimes a good thing sometimes a bad thing)

6.) Messageboards
a. I believe they need a complete overhaul. It’s 2015 folks. The “how to format your text” feature of hardcoding like making things bold or adding in a link is completely archaic. I get it was probably cheaper do it this way, but it’s 2015 now and you guys have been in business a while now. Give the message boards some much needed love.
b. There’s too many threads! Condense them down and make sub threads. And when a topic gets closed move it to an archive of some kind so people don’t have to scroll for miles looking at dead closed threads. If they want to look at inactive stuff they can go to the archive folder or whatever storage house you want for it.

So I just picked up the melee toolbox and here are my thoughts on it.

There are some more versatile options, good artwoork, some new weapons and armor, a few new spells.

So I read through the book and all though I love getting more options big or small I just felt the book was hugely on the small side for me. There was nothing whiz bang about it imho.

And it made me feel some of the text in the book alluded, that martial classes are just there to let wizards kill things.
"Dedicated spellcasters and archers can appreciate the excitement of engaging an enemy and understand the virtues of a well-planned assault, but they often need someone else to force the foe into close combat to prevent such threats from reaching them.

Also a lot of things in the book are based around the "teamwork" feats which imho is broken already.

I was hoping for this book to be "the book" to bring martial classes maybe not on par with spell casters, but a bit more balanced. Cause past lvl 10 Skills and Combat Maneuvers don't mean a whole lot.

Sure there are certain builds to min/max damage or some crazy combo that's amazing for martial classes, but I don't want to go that route every time I play just to keep up. I just feel that martial classes need a boon of some kind.

The Unchained book is coming out next month and that may bring some stuff, but just seems like some other classes are getting the nerf bat and some more options that may or may not be impressive.

What I am basically trying to say is can Martial Classes get a Companion or Handbook that makes them on par or close to with the Spell Casters?

I understand the mentality that casters should just get everything cause oooo magic. Just seems like a holdover from D&D 3rd edition.

Welcome friends to the halls and gardens of Stoneroot Glade,

All that you see, everything you touch and taste, all things cultivated and built by mortals are the product of the Hands.

Alabaster. Simple, Strong, Beautiful, and infinitely malleable. The hands will always strive to create that which is stong, beautiful, and serves its purpose with simple efficiency. We will always seek to provide that which is needed by our Kabal brothers and sisters, and when possible provide for our friends and allies. Homes, clothing, weapons, food, potions, all things required now and in the future. We must always strive to change and grow, to be malleable, thus crafted ourselves into what is needed by the Kabal.

All those who seek to master the arts of creating and sustaining a community, settlement, or kingdom will find themselves at home within the Hands. Be your passion farming, mining, weaving, masonry, blacksmithing, or governance we will help you master it. We will be the hands that guide the growth of the Kabal, and its settlements, allies, and peoples. Together our hands will grow, harvest, build, and create from nothing that which others will look upon with awe.

Built upon our blood and sweat, the settlements of the Kabal will inherit our strength of purpose.
Defended with our Arms and armor, the enemies of the Kabal will feel our wrath.
Nourished and healed by our crafts, the people of the Kabal will know our kindness.
Through the pains of our Labour we will bring life to all places the Kabal are present.

Alabaster Hands of Pain

Membership among the AHoP is open to all, regardless of class or race. The only requirement is a desire to serve others and build together that which is greater than any could achieve alone. Sponsorship by a existing Hand is desired, but not required, but all hands must be brothers and sisters of the Kabal. Those who seek to be hands will be given an apprenticeship, and advanced upon successful completion of their apprenticeship. Continuing through the company ranks will require tireless work, and perfection of a chosen craft or profession.

Rancourous Ash Crickets

At the forefront of the Kabal you will find the RAC. Leading the fight against monsters, outlaws, kingdoms, boredom, and common sense in general.

The RAC will distinguish itself as the premier fighting force of the Kabal, covering all professions and combat styles. Coordinating with the other Kabal companies and their specialties providing any and all support needed for them to safely accomplish their goals, or augment their efforts with specialists for specific tasks or goals.

RAC will pursue perfection in all forms of warfare, providing the Kabal with a solid fighting core for all the other companies to draw upon. We will provide training, knowledge and guidance to all Kabal companies to increase their martial abilities.

When crime, conflict, and war call upon the Kabal and its allies the Rancourous Ash Crickets will be the first to answer, and the last to leave the field.

“Even when it seems quiet and you feel alone, you can always hear the crickets…”

Membership in the RAC is open to any class or race, with the exception of those without martial skills. Sponsorship is required by a current member of the RAC or any Kabal company leader. Those who are sponsored will be brought into the RAC at the lowest rank for their chosen combat style and profession.

Promotion out of the lowest tier of ranks is required to remain a member of the RAC. Those who fail to gain promotion will be moved to a secondary company and may be sponsored again at a later time.

Members of the RAC will be promoted and demoted as needed due to their skills and the needs of the company.

Application to the RAC can be done through the recruitment forms, once you have secured a sponsor from a current member.

Who are we?

The Kabal is an extended family, looking out for each other and anyone else that we decide needs looking after, sometimes through a mutual agreement, and sometimes because we said so. Success derives itself from a set of core values that govern the guild. We strive not only to be unified, and have fun! As with any successful guild, member participation is key. We are a community of mature adults (some more than others lawl), veteran gamers. Below are some of our core guild goals, rules, policies etc... that prospective members should know before joining.

Where are we going?

We have members waiting to dominate Trade, Crafting, Magic, Ass-Kickery, drinking until you can't stand, Wenching, whatever the female version of wenching is called, Warfare, and laying down the law (for the laws that don't suck anyway). We intend to have our hands into a little of everything. What specifically we 'specialize' in is not set in stone. Obviously it will depend on where we end up, what resources are available to us, who our friendly neighbors are, and how many people in the guild want to do any one thing.

Our current goal is, to have fun and play PFO as a team continuing to beat all new challenges implemented by the developers. To run outstanding events for our members, To adventure together and have a great time doing it, And to continue to add value to the PFO community at every opportunity. As for why you would want to join us, if you want a excellent group of friends to enjoy this game with, and a group that will push your skills, and help you pursue whatever weird ass goal you decide to come up with. This is them.

Political Goals/Alignments? Military/Protection, Magic/Research, Craft/Trade, Politics/being a crappy bard.

As for general alignment, or political/social intentions. We are all looking to be good in general, but nobody is perfect. We will make alliances or go to war as makes sense or is necessary. We are a mature group of individuals looking to have some fun and be a little crazy, but not to be anonymous online jerks who make people want to quit the game. In fact that's one of the few things we will kick you out for, and kill you repeatedly for. That all being said we are going to be NG in alignment doesn't mean we won't take just NG characters, but that is our primary alignment however for you evil folks best to look elsewhere.

We have a settlement in the North West part of the map called Stoneroot Glade. It has the amenities of Rogue and Wizard trainers. We have access to the Crafting, Fighter, and Cleric trainers through mutual agreements with folks.

We have a trade agreement with Alderwag settlement Link and we are allied with Talonguard Link & Tavernhold Link
Kabal, Tavernhold, & Talonguard make up what is the High Road Covenant Alliance

Company Info

We have 3 Companies in our settlement.

Rancourous Ash Crickets- At the forefront of the Kabal you will find the RAC. Leading the fight against monsters, outlaws, kingdoms, boredom, and common sense in general.

Guild Rules

Rule 1.) Don’t Be a Dick

Rule 2.) Have Fun

Rule 3.) We expect all members to ensure that all actions they take are done in the mindset of 'guild first'. Anything a member does reflect on the overall guild image and on all fellow members. We expect members to only take actions that reflect positively on the guild image that we have worked very hard to build and maintain over the years.

Rule 4.) It is not permitted to relay any information outside the guild, for any reason, at any time. We do not share information with the public except through official channels and officially sanctioned outlets. Therefore no member should reveal any information, no matter how minor they may think it is, outside the guild.

Rule 5.) Participate In Guild Events. Hunts, Raids, Events and other in game activities occur all the time. You are expected to take part in as many of them as possible. We understand people have lives and cannot live within the online world and that is ok. But if you are online, and we are having a guild event of some sort, you need to be there and participating in it. Actively working against the guild on any mission will result in immediate and permanent removal. (This includes being on our Mumble Server when you are online)

Rule 6.) We are a TEAM of FRIENDS. Backing up your guildmates is expected because they will do the same for you. Members understand that sometimes personal character sacrifice is needed for the team to complete a mission. We don't view it as personal sacrifice, however, because we are helping out a friend and that is more important than loot or pixels on a screen. Games come and go. The friendships within it, remain.

Rule 7.) Members may not use cheats or exploits

Rule 8.) Personal attacks on other members is not permitted. Handle issues with another player 1 on 1, in a mature professional way. Seek a leaders help if needed, but do not personally attack other members.

Rule 9.) In the field or during an event, you must follow the directions or orders of the officer or appointed guild member in charge immediately. Debate about the situation can happen later.

Rule 10.) All other rules refer to Rule 1.)

The Kabal believes strongly in being a positive influence in the community. We encourage members to become involved the community and to have a positive impact on it. We recognize those members that do become involved and go above and beyond simply "playing games" for entertainment.

We are currently looking for members of all roles who wish to positively contribute to our Company. If it’s fancy we do it. It could involve a route on an assault on a keep (go go tumble build), possible assassinations, and general entertainment in taverns and the back door deals gong on in them. What we do will have style and be very Fancy I assure you.

Our Company involving mainly rogues and their variations such as but not limited to:

Bards

Rangers

Rogues

Gunslingers

Ninjas

Hunters

Investigators

Skalds

Slayers

Swashbucklers

Scouts

Bounty Hunters

We will take other roles as not listed here to accommodate our efficiency for parties. Cause we will need healers and crafters. To help fuel our Fancy Operations and the like.

So how does one go about becoming a Fancy Lad? Well I’m glad you asked. The answer is simple join Kabal. And if a current Fancy Lad member sponsors you, you will be inducted as a Hireling into the Fancy Lads for a trial period of 1 month. After that trial period is over a vote will be cast by the current Pick Pocket ranked members and higher and if it passes you will be promoted into the Pick Pockets as full fledged member of Fancy Lads.

What if I fail the vote? Not to worry my friend not all is lost. A short interview will be had with you to determine if Fancy Lads is the right company for you and if it is will work with you and give you another month to prove that you belong with the Fancy Lads and another vote will be cast. If it’s determined this probably isn’t the right fit, you will get dismissed from the Fancy Lads and moved into another Kabal company.

Well that’s it for now. If you have any questions feel free to hit our questions and answer Faq page found here Fancy Lads FAQ and you will get a response in a timely fashion or a fashionably late response. We are the Fancy Lads and we will be involved in a plethora of things in the River Kingdoms, and I hope you will join us for a Fancy good time. Time is money and I must leave you now to pursue getting more of it.

Feel free to forum PM me as well.

Pretty sure some of these are in the pipeline already, but just though I would make mention of them and to see what other people thought or want to add to them.

1.) Settlement & Company Chat System

2.) A way to distinguish a players organization they represent. Tags, tabards, cloaks, Banners, Emblems on Equipment, and other such things…

3.) Settlement/Company Achievements and Feat system

4.) Settlement/Company Leaderboards Crafting, PvPing, Escalations, Dungeons, Wealth, Size etc…

5.) Customizable ranking system that can be edited by the settlement/company leader and be able to assign permissions to those ranks as well.

6.) A way to send a message (for lack of a better example will say mail) to offline/online members of a settlement/company.

7.) A settlement/company bank with sub sections in it that restrict/grant access to them based on your rank in the settlement/company

8.) Similar to a message of the day, but this message would display for company/settlement members what resources be it items, consumables, mats etc… that the settlement/company is in need of.

9.) An in game recruitment board of some kind for settlements and companies.

10.) A discounted system inside a settlement with maybe a slight reduction in XP or Material costs for making items. This could tie into the Achievements and Feat system and I am talking small here maybe as small as 0.010% or 0.01% or instead of a reduction a chance with the same percentage numbers to make it a slightly better quality item.

This is my personal wishlist for things I would like to see come in over time. Yes, the core features and mechanics should go in first. This is just a wishlist for some hopeful Dev to read and make it happen eventually

1.) Being able to drop items on the ground and have a physical in game graphic of the item. I drop a longsword there should be a longsword on the ground. I drop money on the ground there should be money on the ground. The RP possibilities for this are endless. Leading a trail of coins to a dragon din with an actual dragon inside would never get old. Or tossing out coins in a starter town and watching new players scurry to pick them up has priceless entertainment value.

2.) Player Housing probably very far off, but it’s my wish list so I am wishing.

3.) Physical Trophies that we can hang around settlements/player housing.

4.) Mounts (with all the table top feats and training that go along with them)

5.) Larger bestiary of many minions to combat. 4 Bestiaries out with countless critters to select from. Yes, we are in the River Kingdom and certain things don’t fit, but if the game has no plans to expand beyond the River Kingdom no reason why some creepy crawlies that normally wouldn’t be there couldn’t show up from time to time. I think this could tie very well into the escalation system.

6.) Core Classes, Base Clases, Alternate Classes, Hybrid Classes, and Prestige Classes Yes we can probably do this ourselves with matching up the appropriate feats, but would be nice to have this supported in game with trainers and the like.

7.) Player Made Maps. Basically we can doodle on a version of the big map zoom in and out of course would be a much desired sub feature of the player made maps as well. Create a physical item with a crafting etc… Then be able to sell such maps on the AH. Same goes for player journals and things of that sort.

8.) I would like looting not to be automatic. I should be able to select what I want off a body both in the PVE and PVP sense

9.) Intelligent Items good one’s and bad one’s

10.) Vehicles such as Carriage,Carts, Chariots,Wagons, Steam Giant, Barge,Galley, Keelboat, Longship, Rowboat, Brigantine,Caravel,Carrack,Cutter, Sloop, Frigate, Galleon, Man-of-War, Airship, Glider. These should be craftable objects just like anything else and the resource costs for some these should be extremely high.

Yes, most all of these are not major systems and yes they should be focusing on those instead. However! With the current state of the game these are what I consider some minor tweaks that could enhance the game over all.

1.) You’re attacking a mob and your weapons don’t come out and it just looks like you are standing there.

2.) Dwarf Traps. Basically the little cracks in the ground that you happily walk/fall/get pushed into that there is no escaping cause you can’t jump out of them i.e. Dwarf Traps

3.) Make All Broken Recipe’s go away. Yes, the work around currently is create a trash toon dump your trash on that toon then delete said toon. A Destroy button with a confirm are you sure you want to destroy this would be much desired. Or a trash NPC that you give your junk to or for Lawls an actual dumpsite in PFO where we can toss out items.

4.) Character Pins in a group should be both visible on the mini/large map despite not being in mini map range.
5.) Hats/Helms

6.) The whisper command is odd if we can take out of the comma, that is needed to send it there would be much rejoicing. Can’t tell you how many whispers didn’t go through cause of that pesky comma.

7.) There should be a way to put cords in party, general chat, whispers. I double click my location on the mini map and it feeds the cords into the chat I currently have open automatically.

8.) When I go to my character sheet I would like to see the decimal places of my ability scores instead of having to go to a trainer to find out what I actually have. Same goes for the things on the character sheet, but the ability scores would be the biggy.

9.) Achievements/Feats/Spells/Recipe’s etc… it’s very convoluted on what I have and what I don’t have. Yes, I can figure it out, but there should be a much easier way to see/figure these things out.

10.) In the crafting queue there should be a way to prioritize the order you want the items made instead of having to do math at each crafting station and make a list then go crafting.

I started Apothecary recently have a decent number of recipe's for extracts made a few things, now I am uncertain what to do with said extracts when I hover over them it just says "chemical" so I assume they are a component for a crafting profession is their a guide somewhere so I can see what I can do with these extracts or what I need to train in to make the extracts useful?

When is the last time you went to Ideascale to go vote or make an idea for the game? Only 461 of us on there would be nice to see us get to 500+

Here is the link you can up vote or down vote ideas, or even post an idea yourself for others to vote on.

Anyone know what year PFO is suppose to be in relation to the Pathfinder Tabletop Lore time period?

I went to go download the latest patcher and it still said 7.1 on the link when going through the Install Now section.

Am I missing something? Or did it not come out yet?

I've been enjoying the interviews that have gone out recently with Fear the Boot and EN World.

I was curious to know if an interview with MMORPG, Ten Ton Hammer, or IGN is in the pipeline before or shortly after EE starts?

4 people marked this as a favorite.

Gameplay: As of right now the two things to do in game are craft and slay the 5-8 mob types over and over again. Crafting isn’t intuitive at all. Had to pull up several guides to get any kind of grasp on it. Combat feels very clunky and not smooth at all. Collision I thought would be a bigger part of the game. Tried testing collision out with a wizard blasting a group of mobs, and me the warrior stepping in and attempting to whirlwind to little to no avail. Completely ignored me most of the time, and trying to get the melee attack to go off was an act of the gods cause the mobs just seem to bum rush the initial attacker. I noticed a lot of blasters attempting to kite mobs when they were right in their face bashing on them. I’m curious to know if the miss chance of the mobs goes up by doing this or not cause it seemed rather pointless. And trying to attack the moving target with a melee class was very painful with the mobs constantly moving trying to strike the person kiting. The biggest positive for this category is the game world feels big. I like the wide openness feel of the game. As been discussed by numerous people already most of the feats don’t have their icons yet. And we need Feat descriptions in asap. This seems to be the biggest desire outside of PvP content. Another great thing I loved was little to no questing. There was a little tutorial in the beginning that wasn’t too terribly bad. It wasn’t obvious to spot though with the traditional flashing lights or other annoying quest icons over people’s heads. Let’s keep it that way. Reminded me of original EQ where you had to know the slash commands to talk to the npc properly. Gives a bit more of an immersion feel than the hey retard click the dude with the thingabobby over his head that’s glowing.

Visuals: Combat animations are a very rough, the ones that are there are very entertaining though. This issue has been addressed by the developers so I won’t harp on it too much. As far as character model selections go I and a bud made a joke. You want to be the red ponytail or the black ponytail dude. Another person we were playing with that night made the comment my character is ugly and I look like a woman prison inmate. She is all in to vanity and how cute her character looks, so I wouldn't pay her comments no mind. Options are very lacking at the moment, but I am hopeful, that these will expand over time. Terrain graphics looked pretty much the same wherever I went as far as color schemes go. Yes you have mountains and flat lands, but a little bit more variety is left to be desired. Game feels brightly colored and a happy place, but take one step out of town and you have a plethora of the 5-8 mob types to hack, slash, and blast through. Just seems a bit off to me cause there is no graphic transition as far as color schemes went just trees or less trees.

Polish: It’s alpha I don’t expect everything to be fully polished, but going to Early Enrollment (Beta, sorry Ryan I know you don’t like that dirty word, but it is beta) in about 3 weeks has me worried cause there is a lot of polish to be done before then based on the current game state.

Social: This is where the game shines. This is probably one of the most helpful and desirable communities I have seen in a very long time. The main chat is used the most unless you are not in a party. It’s a little hard to follow sometimes cause it moves by so fast at times. What I would love to see get added at some point is an army of emotes to select from just from an RP perspective. Another boon I think might be engaging would to add customizable chat colors on the clients end to color code things as they see fit from tells, settlement chat, general chat just to break up the same chat color feel. Resizing the chat windows or adding customizable tabs would be another benefit from a social aspect.

Innovation: Most of the innovation is still in the pipeline to be delivered to us. I am very hopeful cause everything looks fantastic on paper. The classless system is one thing I have wanted to see in a current MMO for a long long time. My best example I could use would be the glory days of Star Wars Galaxies before all the bad joo joo occurred with it.

Longevity: If Goblinworks can deliver the Innovation that they have promised us on paper in a timely fashion the game will have a very healthy life cycle. Players can’t wait too long for things though I will use Darkfall as an example here. I am not worried though the Developers engage us on a weekly basis either on the forums or a blog post and even in the game itself. And we are seeing updates get pushed out left and right. Big gold star for that my friends.

Value: Alpha is free so you can’t really argue with that. The Early Enrollment price is a bit steep for the current game state which will keep a large populous at a bay till a lot more polish and game mechanics get implemented. This has been addressed already and that they want to keep the player base small for the time being, and I am ok with investing toward the future.

I’m looking forward to what the game becomes over time. As I am very hopeful that this game could be one I invest my time and gold pouch for many years to come.

.@Devs/Alpha Testers

My question concerning combat.

Here is the scenario.

Take two exact same classes will call them wizards. They both engage in combat with no interference from a 3rd player or more players. They both have the same gear and similar builds for combat. What determines the winner in this circumstance? Lucky Dice rolls?

I had a question that is derived from this post http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2rbgm?Number-of-Characters-Experience from Ryan Dancey second posting on that thread. If someone could please clarify the following for me.

“There is no specific reason we should not let you pay for multiple characters to be "active" on a given account. There's no functional difference between 1 person paying for 1,000 characters and 1,000 people paying for 1 character. In fact, trying to do something useful with 1,000 characters will be suboptimal considering the network topology between us and you, but if you want to saturate the network and accept the downsides, who are we to argue?”

If I am understanding the above correctly we are limited to 1 character to an account (and speculatively speaking) if we wanted an alt we would have to pay a separate subscription for said alt, but it would be linked to the same account instead of two separate accounts achieving the same result?

“The people who got game time with their Kickstarter Rewards will get tokens equal to the number of months of game time included with those Rewards. They'll be able to chose when to use those tokens, and the tokens will be 30 day tokens. So if you wanted to play in the 1st month you were eligible for Early Enrollment, you'd use 1 token, get 30 days of game time, and then if you did not use another token, your character would become inactive and you could not log that character into the game. If you had more tokens they would sit in your account management screen until you decided to use one more more. You will therefore control when you use the game time you have received.”

So if we bought Early Enrollment we don’t get to play for the entire Early Enrollment just the 3 months it came with? I assumed the 3 months from the EE would go toward Open Enrollment when the game launches not Early Enrollment (beta) or am I misunderstanding?

I want to finish Landrush with a bang. I have an awesome plan to do so, but I can’t do it alone and I need you, yes YOU to help.

During my search to find anything and everything about Pathfinder Online I found on a site that I visit very often MMORPG.com that our beloved Pathfinder Online is ranked 30th most hyped in development game. I think we can do better. I want to see us in the top 7.

Why is this important?

Cause then our game will display on that websites homepage. Right now we have a score of 8.06 Hype. We need a score of at least 8.13 Hype (or better) to make the top 7 to be on MMORPG home page.

Only 136 people have voted! How many people joined the Kickstarter or after Kickstarter? I know we can do better! Further more only 47 people have commented about the game. We can so do better guys and gals.

So my request from me to you and the Pathfinder Community at large is to both “Vote” for our game at MMORPG and comment. It’ll take you 10 mins tops to do. And don’t say you’ll do it later cause you and I both know you’ll get distracted and forget. Take the 10 mins and just get it done and over with. And lets bring some new blood to our community!

Steps

Step 1.) Go here MMORPG
Step 2.) Register an account at the top (or sign in if you already have an account)
Step 3.) Go here Hype after you sign in and move the hype scale to 10 or whatever you think is fair, but you know it’s a 10.
Step 4.) Make a comment.
Step 5.) Tell your friends, settlement/company to do the same.
Step 6.) Give yourself a pat on the back for supporting Pathfinder Online.

Where does one go for the name reservation from the kickstarter. I can't seem to find it, and this has probably been asked before, so I apologies in advance.

Who are we?

The Kabal is an extended family, looking out for each other and anyone else that we decide needs looking after, sometimes through a mutual agreement, and sometimes because we said so. Success derives itself from a set of core values, that govern the guild. We strive not only to be unified and have fun! As with any successful guild, member participation is key.We are a community of adult, mature (some more than others lawl), veteran gamers.

To run outstanding events for our members. To adventure together and have a great time doing it. And to continue to add value to the PFO community at every opportunity. As for why you would want to join us, if you want a excellent group of friends to enjoy this game with, and a group that will push your skills, and help you pursue whatever weird *** goal you decide to come up with. This is them.

Political Goals/Alignments? Military/Protection, Magic/Research, Craft/Trade, Politics (being a crappy bard).

As for general alignment, or political/social intentions. We are all looking to be good in general, but nobody is perfect. We will make alliances or go to war as makes sense or is necessary. We are a mature group of individuals looking to be a have some fun and be a little crazy, but not to be anonymous online jerks who make people want to quit the game. In fact that's one of the few things we will kick you out and kill you repeatedly for. That all being said we are going to be NG in alignment doesn't mean we won't take just NG characters, but that is our primary alignment however for you evil folks best to look elsewhere.

If you are interested in what we are about take a look here Link to Our FAQ Page

Mainly pulling my question from this blog post https://goblinworks.com/blog/are-you-experienced/

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this. But I figured it warranted some discussion somewhere.

"So after an initial period of "being the new character," starting at the beginning of character advancement, you'll find that you'll soon close any perceived power gap with older characters. Late starters will eventually be just as powerful, though not as versatile, as those who have subscribed since day one."

So xp is universal as long as you made an account Day 1 you will have the same amount of xp as an offline player who made an account when you started on day 1 and have been playing semi religiously every day. So where does the person that plays more in the game get rewarded if not xp and developing their character? Am I missing something huge? Is it just gold and completing pre-req quests for feats and what not?

I understand the need for wanting to keep on the same page with everyone else, but I think their should be a benefit in the character development aspect for people regularly playing than just gear, gold, and getting quests done.

As I mentioned in another post I am starting a new Campaign in early October. I had a couple questions regarding experience.

Before I delve into that though a few things you should know.

1.) I have 9 players in the party.
2.)I am streamlining Modules and Scenarios together.
3.)I plan on keeping the experience for killing off Monsters and PCs and just dividing what they are worth by 9.

Now onto my Question!!!!

How do I adjust experience for a party of 9 players on a slow experience track with content for Level 1 consisting of about 4 Modules and 12 Scenarios. This is typical in my outline per levels 1-20 for having 4 mods and 12 or so scenarios for each level. Go Big or Go Home!!!

I don’t know if the slow experience track is too fast or not for what we have going on.

I don’t know if I should double or triple the experience total needed to gain a level

Is there a rule of thumb for adding a Module or Scenario to a campaign on how you should adjust the experience.

I am starting up a new campaign where I'm adding in Mods and Scenarios as the primary experience. The only thing I am having trouble with is why they suddenly appear in a new location.

I went the cliche' route and decided a long lost god/diety is observing the party teleporting the PCs at his whim once a particular mod or scenario wraps up that he has greater plans for them later. The party gets to interact with him briefly, but as soon as they start asking too many questions or the right questions he snaps his fingers and the PCs re-materialize to the next adventure setting.

We are starting at the beginning of October and I was wondering if this is a good enough reasonable story hook of why the PC's are bouncing all over the map.

If you have a better story hook or solution I would love to hear it. Any advice or suggestions are welcome.

Thank you in Advance,

Pexx

I apologies in advance if this isn’t the correct place to post this thread.

Ok so after 10yrs I and buddies decided to pick up pathfinder. I was the poor son of a gun that drew the DM card. I haven’t played RP games in a very long time.

I am trying to wrap my brain around the Campaign Settings, Adventure Path, Player Companion, and modules.

I have the following questions:

1.) Are they linked in someway so if I pick up a Campaign Setting I can pick up the adventure paths, player companion, and module books that go along with it? If so how do I determine what goes with what?
2.) Are the modules independent from the campaigns and I can pretty much apply them to whatever Campaign Setting I want to?
3.) What I really want to do is start them in area of the world play them one on Campaign Setting and lead them to Other Campaign settings so, that there adventure is never really done. Is there an easy way or a suggestion to do this?
4.) Do the books follow some kind of timeline so I should be careful what I pick cause I may be using it out of order of what time it was intended to be used for?

Basically I am just looking for someone to explain it so I have a good guideline to follow for the massive world that we are behind on.
