I'm sure the GAP was caused by the cancellation of Firefly.

Impulse feats are like cantrip spells almost. Usable constantly.

Yep, I realized after I talked about out loud with one of my kids. I guess I need to speak it for it to click LOL.

With Elemental Blast having the impulse trait and immediately after it's definition, there is an explanation of increasing power level based on the Level entry at the end of the Impulse; Did I miss something or does Elemental Blast not increase in power every so many levels? Like a Level(+3) or such?

I guess it is possible that it doesn't increase on it's own, perhaps I missed a feat or something as well.

Just curious.

I noticed on Widgetworks Warehouse there appears to be multiple layers in the map. Is there a minimum list of Modules needed to get the best experience from these maps?

Things happen when moving 1's and 0's around. sometimes those 1's and 0's don't go in the right place. Really jazzed about seeing what this book has to offer though.

Sweet! I was hoping APs would start going to 20th level with second edition.
Considering one of the main goals in the revised rules is "make high level play fun, fast, and balanced" I imagine the only thing keeping them from doing every AP now from 1-20 is "page count limits."

I sat on a panel at Paizocon where they said the intention is to create 1-20 AP's from now on.

I got the GM Screen and Volume 1 of the AP yesterday. I had to cancel my preorders due to an unexpected expense. Stoked to have something to look at but wish I hadn't had to cancel my CRB.

Grand Lodge

I second this idea. Although I personally don't have a need to have the character sheets early, I can appreciate the desire for those attending GenCon. Being able to have them printed out before hand allows the players a chance to immediate dive into character creation once they pickup their CRB.

From what I saw in the blog, there is nothing on the sheet that would spoil the release. Everything on there has already been covered in Live Plays (like Oblivion Oath, the GCP preview live plays from PaizoCon), Blog posts, Con Sessions, or Delves.

My very first character when I started playing RPGs (way back in antiquity) was an Elf Wizard. I may have to do that again. I haven't played a spellcaster in many years.

I am currently using The Swarm as a tertiary threat and warring with two different star-faring empires. The three factions are actually set far in the Vast but the PC's originated in the Pact Worlds.

They exited the warp at a location in the Vast to accept work on a new remote colony but re-entered real-space near a singularity that shot them clear across the galaxy (or universe, I haven't decided) and into the middle of a war between the three factions.

There is a mysterious empire that is driven by a hidden figure(s)

There is the ancient aristocracy whose political in-fighting is only overshadowed by the ongoing war.

Then there is the ravenous hive worlds of the Swarm whom I've modeled loosely off of a insectoid race in a certain unnamed scifi wargame and the "Starship Troopers" movies.

Looks I'll be dropping out of the Slack channel for the special. Was expecting to get assigned that game but didn't. Maybe I'll dig up a character and play. Haven't really done PFS since Starfinder came out.

You know enough to request specific channel access. The programs assigned to you were indicated in the email. Plus, if you are running 2E on Thursday PM, SFS on Friday PM, or 1E on Saturday PM, those are the specials.

I'm not attending GenCon, I'm still waiting for my PaizoCon assignments.

For our cons, traditionally the Overseer is reported as a GM for a table with zero players, thus the origin of their credit.

We were thinking that, I just wanted to see what other groups do.

I know it's not Paizo's fault, but it's getting a bit frustrating. I live 20 minutes from a fulfillment center, and about 40 minutes to an hour from Paizo. So far, I haven't even seen anything and it's down to the last couple of dozen orders?

Thanks for all the information and keeping us up to date.

Grand Lodge

Yeah, I found that after I posted.

The way I'm reading it, the reward would be 30 XP for the encounter. But if you add, say 5 more goblins to the encounter for a total of 6 and you have a party of four, I would say bump the XP to 40.

Just a guess though. The rules really don't clarify how it is expected to be done.

Just went to my FLGS, and they haven't gotten their pre-orders yet. I had ordered one through Paizo.com and one via my Local Game store.

UPS hadn't made it there yet when I went by, so I'll go back and check later today.

I live 20 minutes from the DuPont fulfillment center in Washington. I can wait a few days for Amazon to get their ducks in a row. I'm sure Paizo is all over them about this. I'll make due with the PDF until my copy arrives.

Thanks for letting us know.

Perhaps your GM will generously manifest a mnemonic editor in the course of your adventures : )

When Pact Worlds came out, I offered a one time use of an experimental Mnemonic Editor that could rewrite the last 3-4 levels of changes. This was due to the fact that my players had all reached 3rd level and the editors in the book only undid the last two levels.

It was a one time deal and one one play has taken it so far.

Also, toward the end of August Dragonflight GameCon will be held in Bellevue. It is a great way to meet some of the local Organized Play population.

This confused me too. The scenario cannot be purchased until June 2019, but you can get permission to run it locally after Gencon.

You should absolutely run it locally, but we'd also love to host you guys down here in Portland on August 11th

From Tacoma its only a 2 ~ 2.5 hour drive down I5 and the venue is a block from the I5 south exit 200b off-ramp, easy day trip.

There's already a few carpools coming down from the Seattle area including the GMs for our two tier 7-8 tables. See your Special Events forum for carpool details.

We'll do what we can. I'll let everyone know about it with our group. thanks for the invite.

Is there a chance we can get a Paizo OrgPlay staffer to chime in on this? I'm a Venture-Agent with a venue that has enough players to support at least three tables, but there seems to be some confusion on availablility for V-O's.

I've run AP1 three times, its a fun story.

AP2 we ran one-shot, 12.5 hours. By the time they reached the temple, the entire table was ready to either join the cult or commit suicide. I don't think running it over multiple sessions would have changed that.

It may be awhile before anyone is ready for AP3.

I was not kind to my players in that volume. They are all seasoned gamers and are digging that I'm not pulling any punches. AP2 can be rough if the dice don't roll in their favor.

I am considering running Volume one of Dead Suns that afternoon and on into the evening, but don't want to register anything in case something happens (ie. lose my voice, get attacked by an angry bear, steal a pot of gold from a leprechaun).

If I do run, I be in one of the open gaming rooms.

No, it is not uncommon. Totally depends on what you were going for, and your luck.

Previous years, I've only ever gotten one thing. I got really lucky this year (probably because so many people were going for playtest)

I've signed up for lottery events for the past several years and this years my first one.
