I'm sure the GAP was caused by the cancellation of Firefly.

I wish i had half the talent these amazing people have. The richness and depth of the setting is what i love the most.

This is the only system i didn't want to homebrew my own world. Keep on doing this awesome work, please.

I'm sure they are scrambling on a lot of things right now. It is almost 11pm at GenCon :)

Sweet! I was hoping APs would start going to 20th level with second edition.
Considering one of the main goals in the revised rules is "make high level play fun, fast, and balanced" I imagine the only thing keeping them from doing every AP now from 1-20 is "page count limits."

I sat on a panel at Paizocon where they said the intention is to create 1-20 AP's from now on.

I got the GM Screen and Volume 1 of the AP yesterday. I had to cancel my preorders due to an unexpected expense. Stoked to have something to look at but wish I hadn't had to cancel my CRB.

Does the overseer GM get table credit for this scenario, and if so, who does it get reported?

I would like to second Varun's thanks for all the hard work. I know you are all swamped and probably pulling a little overtime to make sure everything is ready for GenCon.

Thank you for all you CS and the warehouse folks do to get these awesome products into our greedy little hands. :)

So, I guess since Origins is in June, that a peek at the SFS special during PaizoCon is out of the question?

I really think the main rulebook can do a much better job of keeping that new gamer in the group and engaged with her character, that's for sure.

That's good. Hopefully you get enough new gamers to offset the exodus of old ones. That's the idea here, right?

No. The idea is to retain as many current players as possible while making the game more attractive and easier to learn and play for folks who have not ever given Pathfinder a try, or who are currently playing other systems.

We're not out to trade one type of gamer for the other. WE WANT THEM ALL!!!!

(Of course, we're not going to GET them all, so we want to make the best game we can and hope that--especially after months of customer feedback--we create something that a very large number of people--if not everybody--will enjoy playing.)

Thanks Erik. I have been gaming for 28 years. Ever since I opened that little red box, I have been hooked. I followed all the editions from 2e through 4e, but 4e didn't sit well with me and I made the jump to Pathfinder. I loved it and the level of detail that I never felt I had with 3.5. I hear that 5e has made up for some of 4e's shortcomings but my heart was stolen by Paizo.

I jumped headfirst into Starfinder and can't get enough of it! Starfinder convinced me to finally start subscribing. Now that PF2e has been announce, I can't help but feel that same tickle of excitement that I got when I heard about Starfinder. As time goes by, things change, heck, my current car came with satellite radio, when the previous one didn't. I don't use the satellite radio, but I still love the car. Why should my favorite game in the world be any different?

Erik, Jason, and team. Bring on the goodies, I'm ready!

And I guess you have gotten a lot of value off that investment.

Absolutely, I'm far from jumping ship. From the moment I first picked up the Pathfinder CRB, I was hooked. I will be digging into 2e as soon as I get it, and will probably continue my investment.

I will definitely get in on the playtest, but no idea if my wallet will be willing to buy into new books.

EDIT: Who am I kidding, my wallet has no say in the matter, it's just along for the ride.

No assignments, so far. I volunteered to run 6 blocks of Starfinder, but I'm willing to run PFS as well. Just really into Starfinder right now.

I was the GM of this particular game and the reason I chose to make it an action is that the players were not recalling knowledge but trying to identify traits of an attacking creature from a planet that the PC's were making first contact on.It stated within the scenario that the creature had evolved over the centuries due to the radiation on the planet (result of a nuclear war).

So I figured that Identify Creature needed an action to observe the creature in order for the PC's to make an educated guess on it's strengths and weaknesses.

If I was wrong in that interpretation, that is cool. It just made sense to me and rules as written didn't clearly specify in this case.

It is on page 4/5 of PFS guide as well.

PFSGuide:
You must bring either paper or digital copies
of your character sheet and all accompanying Chronicle
sheets of any character you wish to play to Roleplaying
Guild events. If using paper copies, we suggest keeping
your character sheets and Chronicle sheets in a binder with a dedicated pocket folder for each character. Digital copies
must be on a device you are comfortable showing your GM.

It appears to be an artifact from a version of the rules prior to going to the printer. I can't find precise shot anywhere.

Will sidecart items ship as soon as they are ready, or wait and be shipped as one big shipment?

This is the first time I've had multiple sidecart items and was curious.

I have pre-orders (Starfinder), will they ship in time to be here by august 17th?

Thanks
