"Thank the gods you were here. Things would have turned ugly if that siege tower had reached our walls. Our dragonkin and their riders are doing the best they can, but some of the enemy fliers are slipping past and dropping ground troops behind our walls! Even without the influx of troops from the siege tower we're having some trouble in the courtyard. Can't imagine what it'd be like if that siege tower got close!"
No sooner has he finished speaking when a deafening shout rings out in the courtyard, followed by a bright flash of lightning. One of the triaxian troopers calls out, "sir! Over by the blockhouse! They've got a mage in there. They look like they're trying to smash the door!"
The first triaxian's eyes widen, and if his face was not covered by fur you'd probably be able to see the colour drain from his cheeks. "They're trying to get to the lower levels! Most of our living quarters are below ground! We have wounded, sick and young are in there!"
He looks at your group earnestly. "If you weren't here, I'd probably go down there with my team and try to stop them, orders be damned. But we're siege engineers first, and warriors only out of necessity. If you could see to that mage, we would be of more use here. Please hurry!"
The blockhouses are the square buildings labelled B4 in the big map, and the siege engineers are looking at the one closest to you. If you go to the edge of the bastion, you can see a trixian mage and two warriors close to the nearest blockhouse. They are fighting the nearby ground troops in the courtyard and driving them away from the blockhouse.
Post what preparations you made after the hydras were defeated, and then what you want to do about this new development.
