Appearing to be almost inextricably tangled in a web of ropes he is trying to use to aid his climb, Omast doesn't appear to to hear Nils and is locked in possibly mortal combat with the ropes. A small crowd has grown; the sight of Omast's struggles are lightening the mood in the area.

He continues muttering and struggling only to occasionally break off and cry out Rodrik! and briefly blubber into a very wet and grubby handkerchief tucked into his sleeve. The mention of Rodrik's name takes some of the levity out of the situation and a few of the people leave the scene.

Bhox:
Bhox finds Omast scowling into his beverage; it seems that sobriety doesn't agree with him. In response to questions about the graffiti Omast becomes even surlier. I don't know what fool is doing it, it seems random to me. All I do know is that I can't budge it with any of the cleaners I've got.

Initially, Ishan is taken aback by Omast's outburst and tries not to react. Still the comment stings. Taking a deep breath Ish blinks slowly to calm himself replying in measured words, I trust you don't see all of us that way Sergeant Omast.

Rather than let the moment spoil moods, Ish stares into his drink, idly turning his cup on the table as he presses the topic, I plan to sign up for the patrols tomorrow morning. If Rodrik can spare me, I'm willing to help you look into this. Perhaps I can discover something you have not. Ish looks Omast in the eye with his last remark, implying Omast's view of half-orcs has probably tainted his reputation keeping tongues still. Does there seem to be a pattern in their location?

You aren't really sure but the swords are reminiscent of the one decorationg the temple to Iomedae.

Omast juts out his lower jaw at Ishan's words, If you prove yourself, in the militia or some other way then I'll have no problem with ya but until then I've not much use for ya. His tone is in no way conciliatory and you get the impression he is not interested in continuing a conversation. He turns away from you and continues to drink.

Ishan:
Omast becomes visibly agitated at the question. His response is accompanied by much waving of arms and spilling of drink. Ach! I'd surely like to know it! I spend all my day on ladders, scrubbing, scrubbing, scrubbing! The damn stuff won't come off! It's probably damned half-orcs, always making trouble. His tirade stops abruptly as he realizes his audience is himself a half-orc. He squints his eyes at Ishan and growls, You wouldn't happen to know sumthin about it would ya?

Normally Omast is not so outspoken in his dislike of half-orcs but it is obvious his duties have made him particularly grumpy.
