Congratulations to the cast of FWP! I've been listening since the beginning and it's my favorite Pathfinder podcast. If you love deep, complex character development, you'll love Team Torta! (And you'll just have to listen to learn the origins of that team name!)

A bandolier allows you to retrieve the item as part of the action to use it, so there's that.

So, for a fire mephit's breath weapon:

"...deals 2d4 fire and 1d4 persistent fire damage to each creature within the area (DC 17 basic Reflex save)."

The save would be only for the fire damage, and not the persistent? So on a crit success roll, the PC takes no fire damage but still takes the persistent damage?

How does persistent damage work with the basic saving throw? Is it doubled/normal/halved/no damage like the regular damage? Precedence would make me believe it would be no persistent damage on a save/crit save, or full persistent damage on a failure/crit fail; however, I cannot find anything explicitly stating that in the CRB, unless I'm missing it...

I feel like the section on Breachill itself is part of Chapter 1, essentially, making it much more content heavy. For the first session, I fully plan on having my PC's come into town, run into each other, and discover many of the locations and talk to the NPC's around town.

Can you be 1 HP and still have the dying condition? If so, that’s the difference.

Using Hero Point(s) removes the dying condition, so it can still be 0 or 1 Hit Point.

In dying 1,2 and 3 at the start of the turn or when increasing the value of the dying condition between them you spend all your hero points to go back to 1HP.

When you would go from dying 3 to dying 4 where you would die for real you spend all your hero points to just stabilize at 0HP.

I can kind of see this interpretation, but "or when your dying value would increase in order to return to 1 Hit Point, no matter how close to death you are" implies from going from Dying 2 or 3 to Dying 4. "You can do this when your dying condition would increase" seems to include going to Dying 2 or 3 as well. I don't know, I also just don't think they would over-complicate things with that distinction after all the revisions the Death & Dying rules went through during the playtest. Not saying you may not be right... I'm just feeling it was a missed edit more than anything.

Edit: I just checked the GM Screen, and it states 0 Hit Points...

Zero means you are dying, right? No such thing as negatives?

No, on page 460, you can be at 0 Hit Points and unconscious but not dying. For example, if you succeed at enough recovery checks to lose your dying condition, you are at 0 Hit Points and unconscious.

Kyrone wrote:
One case is when you are in the dying condition, the second is when you would reach dying 4 and because of that die for real.

I'm not seeing that distinction... both statements seem to include both of those scenarios...

There seems to be a contradiction in the rules on using hero points to stabilize:

Page 460: "If you have at least 1 Hero Point (page 467), you can spend all of your remaining Hero Points at the start of your turn or when your dying value would increase in order to return to 1 Hit Point, no matter how close to death you are."

Page 467: "Spend all your Hero Points (minimum 1) to avoid death. You can do this when your dying condition would increase. You lose the dying condition entirely and stabilize with 0 Hit Points."

So... the question is, do you return to 1 Hit Point, or 0 Hit Points?

1. Do you currently like pathfinder 1e?

Yes.

2. Did you once like pathfinder 1e but now find it troublesome?

Bloated from a decade of releases and options, but not troublesome. Still enjoy 1E.

3. Do you like 4th or 5th edition D&D?

I tried 4th edition, but just never really enjoyed it. That's what brought me back to Pathfinder. I never tried 5th edition.

4. Which are you looking for class balance, smoother high level play, more options, or even all of those things?

I guess I'm not looking for any one thing in particular, but excited to try something a little different and see if it works better or worse.

5. How do you feel about making the game more accessible in general?

Keeping a franchise accessible is the only way to keep it profitable.

6. Are you willing to give up on accessibility if you can still gain all of the benefits listed in question 4?

Does it have to be mutually exclusive? Although, accessibility isn't so much an issue for me, as I'm already invested in Golarion.

7. Would you be willing to play an alternative rules system then what we have been presented?

Being that this is merely a playtest, I think that goes without saying. I enjoy seeing everyone's feedback, both positive and negative, and am generally excited to see what the refined final product is like!

8. And if you said yes to the above question what would you like to see in that theoretical game?

Something that has a fresh take on old concepts, that remains fun with the Pathfinder flavor.

Thank you once again for putting up with all of us, and giving us that bit of info. It is very much appreciated.

James, there is no need for you to have to explain yourself. I'm sure I speak for many silent fans when I say thank you and the rest af the team for all the hard work and high quality free extras for the Savage Tide adventures. And people, remember this is FREE. It is very rude and borderline annoying when everyone is demanding FREE content. If you paid for it, then maybe you would be justified in making some demands. But this is FREE. No one has to do the thinking for you as to how to adapt the adventure path for X campaign setting. But these guys are. At no charge. I don't see a problem with politely request release dates for content, but some posts seemed downright pushy (for example, the conspiracy comment).

I am eagerly awaiting the online supplement as everyone else. Just remember, all good things come to those who wait. And based on what we've seen put out so far, I think we all know that it WILL be worth it.

Thanks again.
