If you are not a Highlander fan, and you don't know who Methos is I will provide a link here.

Now I wanted to make a character strongly based on this character, a man who was born thousands of years ago (So probably an Elan) and has lived and done many different things. Doesn't like to fight but when needed too can still hold his own.

Methos the character inspiring this guy has boasted that he has been on stage with but Julius Ceasar and the Rolling Stones. He had been there done that with many things. Including being the Horsemen Death of the Four Horsemen (Four Immortals who rode through primitive settlements and tribes starting the legends.)

He is also very book smart, very clever and heavily GRAY, he believes in right and wrong, but sometimes sees doing the wrong thing for the right reason as being worth the goal. For example killing a female immortal MacLeod spared because he knew she would either come back and try to kill MacLeod or Richie again, go on to kill more innocents, etc. So as he put it he was a man born long before the age of chivalry and sees men and women as utterly equal and a women deserving of death as much as a man who had done the same.

I don't WANT to make this a gestalt but I might have too. If I did go Gestalt I think I would use Factotum to represent his having been there and done that mentality, as well as his utter cleverness and insight.

But not sure what martial class to marry him to because he can really be anything. Though I considered Slayer due to it being adaptive and a straight martial.

Any insights?

Ok so I am making a Card Caster/Staff Magus

So here is the build, let me know what you think.

Race: Aasimar (Peri-Blood)
(Scion of Humanity)

Flaw: Chivalrous Courtesy [-4 on all attack rolls to hit a creature you can tell is of opposite gender]
Flaw: Hot-Blooded [Automatically fail any fort saves against low temperature, +2 extra cold damage from cold effects]

Feats
(Flaw Bonus): Jotunbrud (Count as Large when beneficial)
(Flaw Bonus): Point Blank Shot
(Bonus): Deadly Dealer
(Bonus): Quarterstaff Master
(1st): Cosmopolitan
(3rd): Precise Shot
(Bonus): Quickdraw
(5th): Weapon Focus (Darts/Cards)
(7th): Weapon Spec (Darts/Cards)
(9th): Distance Thrower or Close-Quarter Thrower

Traits:
Blade Magic
Student of Philosophy

I do not yet have a plan for the Arcana, I need to look through guides to find ones suited for a thrown weapon specced character.

Alright I want to build a monk, and looking back through old books I came across the Shiba Protector from Oriental Adventures. The first level adds Wis to Hit and Dmg, not replacing Str but in addition to Str for hit and damage. However it comes at a heavy cost of 3 feat tax and can only be done at level 6 (+5 BAB) and that is if using the Unchained Monk (7 if using CRB Monk).

The feat taxes are Alertness, Combat Expertise, and Iron Will
Needs 4 in Religion but that is easy at level 5.

Now I am curious if it is worth taking that much of an investment for Wis to Attack and Damage on a monk in addition to Str score.

Ok so I was making a gestalt character and here is my current build, give me your insights.

Drow Noble (Szarkai)

Magus//Swashbuckler
Kensai//Inspired Blade <- Archetypes Used.

Weapon Finesse (Rapier)
Weapon Focus: Rapier (A second 1 from Kensai)
1st Feat: Fencer's Grace
3rd Feat: Combat Reflexes
4th Feat (Bonus): Weapon Spec (Rapier)
Improved Critical (Rapier)
5th Feat: Intensify Spell
5th Feat (Bonus): Quickdraw

Magus Arcana
Arcane Accuracy (3rd level)

Traits
Magical Knack (Shocking Grasp)
(Don't know)

Ability Score is 30 point buy equivalent (Currently)

Ok so I actually talked my GM into getting a Nilbog character. He is going to be more or less a joke character, some comedic relief and of course be the party beat bag. So when he does something stupid the party can actually slap him around and do no damage.

I was allowed to count him as a Goblin for the purposes of feats, archetypes and so forth.
So my level 1 feat is going to be Roll With It. Figured this would aid to the punching bag feel of him.

However, I am not sure what else to do with him? What class for example.

As for the Spatio-Temporal Reversal (Ex) ability we have ruled that once you are within the effect of it, you make the save and it lasts 24 hours or till you leave and re-enter the field.

I am talking to him about getting a magic item to suppress the effect, have an effect like selective channel but for his ability so his friends aren't as affected.

Well I am curious the Deadly Dealer feat says a card is destroyed if thrown with arcane strike, but Card Caster gives you the ability to add Returning to the cards as part of your Arcane Pool. So I have to ask.. if its destroyed how do I return it?

I wanted to make a character loosely inspired by Gambit, wielding a quarterstaff (Maybe a Rod of Surprise with only one shape) and a deck of cards.

Any advice on what I should too make this really come online? I know this is building for two different styles, one is a ranged character and one is a melee but I really like this idea of delivering distance spellstrikes to take down a foe with a simple 'playing' card.

Any tips?
