That is the thing I know it is powerful but I have to say Monks have a very few options for bettering themselves.

I will look into Sohei to see if its good for my idea.

It makes sense, but yeah it made Elans broken with things like Psion because they become Sorcerers with endless spell slots.

I might still use the old form if the need for things that have much fewer power points.

I was considering Unchained, I wanted to try the Kasatha out but it doesn't work well with the Flurry mechanics at all. So I was not sure what to do with that idea. But your build looks solid.

Alright guys keep your britches on. It was just an idea. I am not saying I will use it but it was an idea.

I really want to play a monk but I am kind of worried about being very ineffective because well Monkday is a thing on some forums where people try to reinvent the monk each monday to try and be mildly effective. (Prior to Unchained)

What is kek?

And you do have a point in all of those things.

Downsides are the normal monk downsides though, no special material or damage types without applying style feats to get those damage types applies to unarmed strikes.

I am not saying I won't just play a Unchained Monk. But I was curious about the combo, both of you are saying it makes it far to powerful this is true it makes sure he will hit and he will dmg very well but does it do more then that?

I know it is really powerful, but Monks do have the reputation for needing to be able to hit better, flurry of misses has become a trope term for a reason.

Yeah I noticed the bit about Regenerating right off, if a round is 6 seconds, and we have 10x that number in a minute then you regain 10 PP in like a minute of uninterrupted regain and expending focus.

Iron Will on a character with a high Wis seems like a feat tax, modifiers on perception and so forth is great but something I would not normally take.

Also yes a Wis to atk and dmg is really powerful.

Alright I want to build a monk, and looking back through old books I came across the Shiba Protector from Oriental Adventures. The first level adds Wis to Hit and Dmg, not replacing Str but in addition to Str for hit and damage. However it comes at a heavy cost of 3 feat tax and can only be done at level 6 (+5 BAB) and that is if using the Unchained Monk (7 if using CRB Monk).

The feat taxes are Alertness, Combat Expertise, and Iron Will
Needs 4 in Religion but that is easy at level 5.

Now I am curious if it is worth taking that much of an investment for Wis to Attack and Damage on a monk in addition to Str score.
