Thread Necro here but would it stack with Boar's Charge as well? Boar's Charge
Benefit: While raging, when you hit with a gore attack as part of a charge, you automatically score a critical threat. You must still confirm the critical hit as normal. Special: This rage power is available to wereboars, wereboar-kin and those who associate with these creatures. ![]()
So I looked at the Fext entry and thought it was pretty cool, sort of the martial equivalent to a lich. Then my brain went to work and I was wondering how would I turn one of my recurring baddies into one of these? I haven't been able to find an answer so I was wondering if the community could help. Thanks in advance ![]()

Let me be clear here. By no means do I want to eleminate burn entirely, it is a flavorful mechanic but I believe it is flawed. My 'solution' does not change what it does but rather IMO supports the fluff by saying it is a push beyond what you could normally do. I learn a skill why should I suffer for using it conservitavely. Now if I push to go beyond thw boundaries of what it normally does there should be a penalty associated. I decided to follow my understanding of the only other class I played that could push beyond and that was the wilder. I associate certain benefits with pushing yourself but kept the current bare bones of burn as the penalty. ![]()
I don't know. The way i read its fluff its you exerting yourself beyond normal capacity so having alot of things just have a flat cost to use seems far to limiting. I see it more as a wilder pushing their psionics to a higher level or using the boost word of power. The non-lethal dmage i do like because i had an online rp character with similar fluff...heck I'd be willing to change it to lethal damage that only takes half magical healing or can be recovered via regeneration and the like. I just think it shouldn't be a mandatory usage of health to just use the base ability ![]()
Been trolling the forums for a while about the kineticist for a while and everyone seems to really hate the burn mechanic. So here is my 'quick' fix for it. Reduce all burn costs to zerofor your talents. Whenever you choose to except burn for a blast, each point increases the die by one size (d6->d8->d10->d12), for infusions it either increases duration or severity of effect and for utility it allows you to affect more party members/what it already lists taking burn will do. ![]()
Ok really late on this one but i have read afew of these threads in their entirety. Something i think might help would be adding STR or CON to all saves for martials to show them just brushung it off. Adding a physical stat to all their social skills because words dont always inspire as much as action, sort of going off the whole i fear not an army of lions led by lambs but one of lambs led by lions. Definitely on board with scaling feats and more skill points. Remove the pointless feat taxes. Special stance and maneuver feats, like monks have style feats do the same for different weapons. ![]()
ok so I have an interesting character concept but i need some questions answered answered to see if it works.
The idea is a gestalted barbarian/fighter(mutation warrior/eldritch guardian) 1 Barbarian/SorcererX that before combat holds the charge for a spell then rages/mutagen and uses the held charges for adjacent while using a reach weapom ![]()

OK are you thinking kneeling as in both knees because a combat kneeling position is one knee which can easily be done as part of a step, if you drop to both knees in combat you're offering a surrender. I am not disagreeing that going prone can be done with minimal effort but to say kneeling which in a combat stance can be done as part of a step, just ask all of 1/23 B, takes more effort makes zero sense. Military avoids going prone when it can because it takes more effort getting up and going down prone quickly and repetitively can cause harm. And are you seriously going to say gravity doesn't assist taking a knee? ![]()
Today I tried to purchase 2 items and put 1 on the wishlist for later and it said my card was declined, ok it's a card I had before I moved so I put in my old address to see if that was the error and it was declined again. Odd so I check my account and saw 3 charges on it 2 for the 2 items plus the wishlist item and 1 for the 2 items I wanted. I tried calling but it's Saturday so nothing. This is a royal screw over to me and my family. I would like to get this resolved because I love the product but this is not a situation to be in ![]()
Ok don't know if this has been covered but it takes a whole lot less effort to go into the kneeling than prone. As an infantryman that's most of my life. We get into the kneeling misstep and get up just as easily so whoever was arguing prone is easier to get into than kneeling needs to go out and actually try it. ![]()
Ok really basic question because I can't find the answers on the interwebs...can these 2 stack? The big appeal to primal companion is the evolution points and I don't want a companion so feral hunter is the obvious choice otherwise half the class features are useless on the primal companion but primal companion allows a crazed wild man to come online early. ![]()
It is my low level (2) Abyssal Bloodrager.

I have a character with 7 Int 12 Cha and 12 Wis...and I have no idea how to roleplay him...I have been doing the very rash and quick tempered but still being able to read the situation just barely well enough to know to just sit outside and breathe. I would like more help on this as well so definitely stalking this thread all creepy like ![]()
Well was definitely looking at control type spells and leaving date toy weapon. Only player I can really help out is my fiance but she is keeping it tight but alluded to either 3.5 Warmage/Skald or Magus (the magus and Warmage both cast in armor and while Cha determines spells and DCs the Int adds extra damage) the other guy emailed me saying he is doing Alchemist/healer type, so not sure how it's going to work for him, probably high mental stats and using mutagens for melee. So yeah...what's is a good control type spell list for level 3? I have shield and mage armor was my bonus spell because I am still melee guy. Was thinking color spray and either grease or obscuring mist. In 3.5 there are feats to learn extra spells or get some unique meta magics with spell like abilities as well. Going with blue dragon bloodline because those are my favorite so probably going to pick up born of twin thunders so all my lightning spells do sonic damage and deafen targets as well ![]()
I was thinking of not dropping my armor but rather enchanting it and using special materials to mitigate spell fail. Losing a Smite and some BAB is important to me because of past experience with dipping. Don't confuse my counters with a lack of gratitude I appreciate all the help I just don't want to be the DM bane here...she is a fun DM and I don't want to make it all crash on her...because technically I could take the 3 levels in Half-dragon and get massive boost but that's just a Lil much
