Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

I'm absolutey serious. Now get the hell outta here and don't come back." Crystal says trying to keep as straight a face as possible, her fists tightening, knowing this is not going to end well.

Bluff: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

"That I can absolutely do my friend!" She replies enthusiastically reciprocating the hug with a strong squeeze. Come on Gale, let's go spend your brother's hard-earned money."

Heading to the market square, Crystal relishes the chance to do something normal - spending money frivolously. "Ear-rings, Gale. I think I need a new pair. What about you? Can I tempt you with a new bracelet? On your brother of course!"

Taking Gale's hand, she drags her to the closest stall selling cheap costume jewellery and women's accessories. "This, or maybe this. What about these ones?" She says, pointing from one pair of ear-rings to another. Eventually, she settles on a pair of mismatched geometric stud earings. "I think this would suit you too, it'll really complement your skin-tone." She says, picking up a fine silver-coloured chain with a lightning bolt charm and passing the seller the few gold that the fake-jewellery is worth.

"Maybe if your brother keeps up his luck, we might get something real some-time.

She buys nothing practical unless anyone else insists. GM Is 15gp for cheap costume jewellery fair?

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

Crystal snorts as Gale reveals herself. "Now that was worth every second!" Seemingly her spirits have been lifted somewhat by the distraction as she is no longer nursing her head and has a grin plastered across her face.

"Thanks for the breakfast guys." Crystal offers, picking at her food and gulping down the coffee eagerly.

"So what's up today then?"

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

Crystal continues her dramatic performance, pretending to not notice the boys' entrance. "Oh..Gale, you're a wonder!" She adds breathily for extra effect.

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

Crystal prepares herself for her performance, ready for the boys to come back out of the kitchen. She pulls the ragged table cloth down slightly so that it could "hide" Gale, who is not actually there and leans back on her chair, pulling her sleeves off her shoulders to hand loose a little as if they had been pulled down.

Bluff: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

"Well they're expecting us to have a fight right? How about you hide behind something around here and when they come out, I'll pretend you're under the table repeating that thing you did last night." She suggests, fond memories rushing back to her. "That will surprise them and then you can jump out. Fun for us and might teach them that they cant outsmart us?"

Her suggestion may be a little crude, but at least Crystal finds it amusing. The fact that she thought so quickly about that particular moment from last night is rather telling however.

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

"Don't worry, I won't forget where to find you." She says, holding Alorea's gaze for a moment before breaking it again to look towards the kitchen.

"So...those two think they're being sensitive and understanding by giving us some time on our own...feel up to playing a bit of a trick on them?" She asks, a sly smile on her lips.

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

"Oh..are we...I did have fun last night Gale...its just..." She stammers, taken aback by Gale's response and starts over thinking this, which again makes her clutch her head in her hands, her head thumping with her headache.

Does she think we are together again after just one night? Things don't change and get fixed that quickly. But she said we can go slow too, what does she mean by this?

"Ok." She says, eventually settling on a simple answer. "Let's just enjoy each other as friends today. I've missed your company and yesterday really reminded me of that. But last night was fun." She says, not quite making sense through her foggy mind. "I'd be open for another night like that sometime."

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

"Err.. yeah, you had fun? Think I might have drunk too much though." She bemoans, holding her head in her hands. "You think I'd learn but no...never change!"

Sipping a little water, she clears her throat awkwardly. "Sorry I wasn't there when you woke up. I...." She stops, not know what to say to explain that away.

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

Fortunately, Crystal is a heavy sleeper and at first the banging does not wake her, especially when having had a drink or two. She rises slowly this morning, groggy-eyed with a heavy head and groans regularly at each bang as she bends to wash and dress. After this long process, she eventually heads downstairs to face the music.

"Morning." She states simply as she flops onto a chair and pulls a pastry from the middle of the table. "Have we ordered proper food yet?"

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

Nysene lies back on the bed softly and inhales with surprise as Alorea begins.

The evening flies by as both Alorea and Nysene devote their full attentions to each other. Alorea showing Nysene many a new trick. Its unclear how much time passes, but Crystal doesn't regret it one bit.

Unused to sharing a bed, Crystal finds it hard to sleep and when she is sure that Alorea is safely dreaming, she slides off her bed, collects her clothes from where they were left and slowly sneaks from the room and returns to her own bed.

It doesn't take long for her to fall asleep when she is alone and she sleeps deeply for many hours, exhausted from both the day's and night's activities.

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

Crystal tilts her head to one side as Alorea places kisses down her neck and closes her eyes before running her hand up the other woman's arm and along her collarbone, before tracing her fingertip slowly between Alorea's breasts.

"I don't think we've ever done this before." She whispers, almost inaudibly. "You were always, you know, the other you. I'm used to that..I just don't know..." Crystal says, her voice trailing off as if unsure of herself all of a sudden. This is incredibly unusual for Crystal who is usually quite a forceful personality and always sure of herself. At least she always tries to make other people believe so.

Perhaps its the alcohol, perhaps its the new situation, perhaps its the old memories, but suddenly the woman is feeling vulnerable and is showing it.

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

Crystal's eyes open wider and her breath quickens as she remembers just how stunning Alorea was and hastily begins to remove her trousers, allowing them to drop on the floor before stepping out of them.

She allows Alorea to undo each button on her shirt before allowing it to slide off her shoulders revealing her extensive geometric tattoos complementing embedded crystalline gems that cover her torso, wrapping around from her side and spiralling down and around her right thigh.

She steps forwards onto the bed next to Alorea, pulling her close, not flinching at the static shock she receives as she does so. She runs her fingertips gently, tracing the sylphs swirling blue patterns that run down the length of her arm.

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

Crystal relishes the kiss from Alorea before pushing Alorea passionately back to the bed as she begins to undress herself. "You sure you want to do this?" Crystal asks, her hand pausing at her buttons on her trousers, as she goes to undo them.

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

Crystal, much more carefree after her drinks this evening, squeezes Alorea's hand for a second before leaning in slowly and placing a tender kiss upon Alorea's lips.

"I certainly will tonight." She says suggestively, not really thinking through her thoughts. "How abouts we retire for the evening?"

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

Crystal hands over the gold begrudgingly, assuming it will be worth it for this.

She watches the barkeep pour out the absinthe over the sugar cubes eagerly before raising her glass to make a toast to Gale "To old friends." She declares before downing the glass and slamming it back down on the bar.

"Got anything less expensive?" Crystal asks the barkeep before putting a few copper on the bar and turns her focus back to the sylph. "You know. I didn't know what to expect seeing you again tonight....you still look beautiful." She says, hiccuping a little. "Im really happy you came. Maybe....maybe this was meant to be. Fate pulled us back together." Clearly Crystal's thoughts are a little less than clear after her few drinks this evening.

Fort: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

Crystal allows herself to be dragged along by Gale. "Never been propositioned by someone like her in a hundred years! Why would she think I would want to....with her?" She adds, slightly befuddled. "Another drink is always a good plan Gale. Do you still like that spiced rum we used to share? Or maybe a little elven absinthe? It is a special occasion afterall..." She leans in and brushes some hair away from Gale's face as she awaits a response.

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

Crystal's eyes narrow at the woman. "Well thankyou, but that is not the kind of entertainment I was looking for." She says, looking across at Miss Lavender.

"A simple game of cards, a lot of alcohol and some presents would've done. Maybe even do what we used to do...." She mutters.

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

Crystal watches the conversation with ill concealed amusement, and a certain level of wariness as Gale starts chatting to an obvious prostitute. The conversation seems innocent enough... for now. She continues to watch with narrowed eyes as she pushes her 'pudding' around her plate. She certainly is not feeling jealous, and even if she was it would perfectly reasonable.

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

"Yeah, I did, for all of a year. Apparently I'm too good for them and they didn't want me anymore. They couldn't live up to my self-portraits and sculptures and found it hard to interpret them for what they really were." Crystal says, shrugging her shoulders.

Bluff: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25 She is absolutely twisting the truth here.

She picks up her knife and starts fiddling with it, scoring the wooden table with her initials. "Got a bit bored after that and, you know, my parents passed, so I came back to pick up my inheritance and try and help out in the family business. Wasn't my kinda thing though, but I stuck around there for a bit and stuck with that nonetheless." She says, somewhat pointedly. "I hung around and helped some of the new townies out, but most of them didn't know me all too well. The place has moved on since we grew up there."

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

Crystal nods in agreement. "I'm owed a birthday meal anyway after the foul mess up last night! Not sure anywhere will match my standard but Im sure we will find something passable, and besides, Im not paying." She laughs at herself a little, realising the ridiculousness of the whole thing before dumping her things in the room and following the group out into the night.

Nysene shrugs as Blaze looks back at her. She couldn't really care less what they shared with Saul, she just wants to know what the four of them can do now to rescue this pitiful day.

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

Crystal leaves the investigating to the men, stands up and brushes herself off, meanwhile grimacing at the state of her clothes.

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

Crystal goes to sit up, but thinks better of it when a sharp stabbing pain rushes through her ribs. "I...Gale. Thankyou. I wasn't expecting that I suppose. I think I might've broken something." She says, going to move again, this time feeling a bit better.

"Or maybe not, you've done a good job of stitching me up. I owe you Gale." Crystal says with sincerity, looking up at the sky druid with her pink and purple toned eyes.

She redoubles her efforts and tries to pummel him before he gets her.

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

"Thanks for the help Gale. I appreciate it." Crystal says quietly to the woman before rushing off behind the boys.

Crystal continues to release her frustrations of the day on the thug in front of her.

In the few seconds that follow, Blaze quickly pulls out a wand and uses it to cast Mage Armor on Crystal! "Still got that fierce right hook, Crys?" he asks, grinning, then shuffling to the side of the hallway.

"Of course I do Blaze! Who do you think you're talking to?" Crystal replies, puffing up a little with pride whilst preparing, standing alongside her friends. "Let's do this."

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

Crystal smirks a little at Blaze's 'story' but turns it into a grin, knowing to cover her tracks a little.

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

Crystal realising that she currently has no steady stream of income and that her parent's money that they left her will run out sooner rather than later, especially with her love of luxury.

"I can agree to that. We'll get our own rooms, right?" She asks, not bothered about the other details.

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

Gale:

See, she is quitting again. But it is to spend some time with us so is that quitting or returning? Maybe she has grown. I don't know. I hope so.

"Well, I guess we will have to see what the future holds Gale. Its been good to see you tonight. Let's head off and find out what the rest have been up to, if we stick here much longer River's gonna freak and think we're throwing chairs again." Crysta says with a half-smile.

"Well no sh^t Saul." Crystal says, not holding back. "What exactly do you already know about this? Something like this couldn't have come out of thin air? Had you heard rumours of something?"

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

Alorea:

Crystal listens intently. She always has liked listening to Gale speak, her voice had the most addictive quality and she could listen to it all day. "Well, that sound good, how long has it been for, a couple weeks?" She asks, before realising her comment sounded very harsh.

"Im sorry, I meant have you been with them long? That sounds like you're really enjoying it and that its been good for you." She corrects herself with a rare apologetic look upon her face.

I hope she doesn't ask what I've been up to. What exactly can I tell her. Nothing she will be impressed by.

As Blaze and River try to intimidate the thugs into giving up information, Gale drifts over to Crystal. "Hey. You okay? Want to... take a walk or something before we meet with Saul?"

"Sure thing Gale. We could....talk."

She tries a small smile at the woman before looking at her brother. "Not sure he would let us both spend time on our own after last time...."She says, trying to make a joke, before remembering what happened last time and her face turns sour. With a huff, she shrugs.

"Let's talk and drink I say." Walking over to the bar, Crystal orders two more cocktails, clearly she is not one to shy away from alcohol with the amount she has consumed this evening.

"So, what have you been up to since....before?" She tries to look casual as she leans on the bar.

Are we really trying to talk right now? Why does she still want to even bother? I must have got boring for her by now with her attention span.

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

Crystal hangs back too, arms folded and a deeply unimpressed look upon her face. This was not how she planned to spend her evening to celebrate, how dare these filth ruin her big birthday!

Crystal twists to hit the burglar to her right with her elbow, followed by a punch to his chest.

She runs after the thief and throws a punch at her, suspecting the woman of stealing from herself.

Crystal, losing interest in the game as she is currently not the centre of attention scans the room around and notices the odd gentleman looking mighty shifty.

She leans over and nudges Gale without a second thought with her elbow. "See that man over there? Doesn't seem right to me. Might be someone interesting to go and observe." One of the pastimes that kept both Gale and Crystal interested was always what they called "people watching" which invariably ended with them observing things that others did not want to be seen. Crystal also liked to get a little too close on occasion which would land them in hot water.

Nysene is, unfortunately for her, not as fantastically lucky as her old friend, and sits back in her chair watching the proceedings continue.

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

Nysene smirks, remembering the many occasions in which she sulked about not receiving some treat or reward. Shrugging her shoulders, she replies, "Well I have always known what I wanted Blaze." She adds with a wink, as he gaze wonders back to the crowd trying to locate Gale.

In mock horror, Crystal takes the pint of water away from Blaze and replaces it with one of their cocktails they ordered earlier. "Come now. Relax and have a little fun. Its not often one of your old friends turns 100!"

As Blaze brings Gale up again, Nysene freezes, stone still before mumbling, "She was always like that. Never one to actually stick around when it matters."

Nysene finishes off her cocktail in one go, not taking the time to appreciate it as she usually would and stands, clapping her hands together, changing the subject. "Right then! Let's go win some money!"

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

Nysene grins with the offer of a round of drinks as well as the coin for another followed up by Blaze. "This evening is off to a good start." She says, eyeing the others around the table, pointedly not letting her gaze land upon the sylph, unsure of how to act around the graceful woman that she shares a stormy past with.

When the cocktails arrive, Crystal takes a purposeful sip followed by two more in quick succession. "Oh you know, a decade here, a decade there." She says, replying to River. "At least I've still got my looks about me!" She flutters her eyelashes at the Undine. "What do you think, have I come of age in style?"

Gemsoul Oread Un-Monk

The young woman with fairly translucent skin embedded with pink gemstones in odd, seemingly random, patterns rolls her eyes.

"You mean to say you aren't going to treat the birthday girl?!" She exclaims with a laugh, but it's clear there is an undertone of annoyance to those who know her.

She fishes through her pockets to pull out exactly 10 silver and places it down before taking the inkpen and signing her own name with a fancy flourish.

"Why even ask River? Drinks all round first I say!" She strolls forwards towards the bar and finds the only empty table, just big enough for the four of them if the squash together. She relaxes back onto her seat, fixing a loose strand of hair back into her loose bun, before glancing around the room to take in the atmosphere. "So, who is going to treat the birthday girl to a little something first?"
