About Nisha the Damaged

Nisha Jeggahe was born to two minor Cellexian nobles, a distant branch of the wealthy Jeggahe family. Unknown to anyone at the time, both of Nisha's parents had some distant Teifling ancestry, and so it came as a great shock when Nisha was born with horns and a tail. Still, unlike most Chellaxians, Nisha's family loved her all the same. Her parents were unable to move out of Chelliax (their buisness dealings were too complex), but fearing for her saftey, they secreted little Nisha away. She was tutored, and only revealed to trusted family friends and their children.

After many years, one of Nisha's previous childhood friends eventually became indoctrinated into the Chellaxian tiefling-hating mania, and exposed Nisha's existence for a few political favors. Late one night, when Nisha was just 16, Devil's Claw mercenaries broke into her house, killed her parents, and abducted Nisha.

As it turns out, a group of powerful Chellaxian nobles wanted to rid 'high society' of Tiefling 'corruption,' and were kidnapping Tieflings in order to use as living training dummies to further refine their skills. Nisha was forced into sparing drills, poked, prodded, and mentally violated all in attempts to further the Devil's Claw's Tactics for fighting Tieflings.

Eventually, after a year, Nisha discovered that she had not only grown resistant to the mental probing, but had learned that some spells were a two-way road. After all of the torture, she was able to reverse certain spells, and eventually even developed a few of her own. Using her new-found powers, she was able to 'convince' the guards to let her go.

She eventually ran into a small family of Dwarven traders that nursed her back to health. They taught her about the Dwarven pantheon, and she worked with them for a few years. However, it became clear to the Dwarves that she was not destined for the merchant's life. Her intense desire to get revenge on those who imprisoned her, as well as to prevent similar terrible things from happening to anyone else, spurred her to eventually leave and join the pathfinders.
