Very disappointed with the absence of support for much of my pf1 gunslinger weapons; this has created extremely problematic continuity issues in two of my campaigns—both currently put on hiatus due to player disappointment.
Should be noted, *none* of the disappointment is toward the loss of touch ac; this actually made my players relieved so they don't have to choose to "be less optimal" to not trivialize encounters and I don't have to over compensate for it in encounter strength.
The only reason this isn't 1 star is due to the Lore and art, both superb and the few spells feats that are actually useful.
Instead of fixing Witch and/or spell attacks as a whole, there is a lot added that isn't even comparably good compared to what has been added between the CRB and other first party material.
If this was just the lore, adventure and bestiary, this would have easily been a 5 star product.
The problem here is that almost all of the parts of the text my tables were excited for were very disappointing. Skeleton and ghoul were extraordinarily well done compared to zombie and vampire, vampire being by far the saddest archetype I've ever read. The undead hunters are great design, however.
As with Secrets of Magic, there was a lot of hype ending up with disappointment.
