most useful even more so when spells are all gone... save for the lvl 0 spells....

I do not understand...You can cast how many lvl 0 spells you want...so why save them? Acid Splash doesn't have any save or Spell Resistance and it's on AC-Touch...

I cannot understand why an AT have to use Hand of the Apprentice...

May be I don't consider some implication of the spell...but really I cannot find it useful...

How do you think Hand of the Apprentice is a worthless ability?

Holding a battleaxe may be good, but holding a small knife I get 1d3+0 dmg with a ranged atk vs. AC. I don't know if Sneak Attack works but think yes.

With ray of frost I get 1d3+0 dmg attacking vs. touch AC that is simpler...
And anyway I can do it without the power with the same bonus...

For a pure mage it could be a good power!

And what about Forewarned Divination power?

From PFRSD wrote:

you receive a bonus on initiative checks equal to 1/2 your wizard level (minimum +1).

a Rog3/Wiz3/AT3 gets +3Ini?

I think yes cause she is considered like Wiz6 as caster lvl...

Grrr...difficult choice...

Stop giving good advices! is confusing! :-)

So the end choice is Divination (if Diviner's Fortune is self applicable or foresight) discarding Ench and Necro or Universalist Arcanamirium Crafter (that fits well with my background, my family are known doors and protection devices crafters) with the loss of 1 spell/lvl.

and a question about lvl 8 power:
I'm going to get it when I hit Rog3/Wiz3/AT5?
It seems the answer is NO.

From d20pfsrd:

Spells per Day

When a new arcane trickster level is gained, the character gains new spells per day as if she had also gained a level in a spellcasting class she belonged to before adding the prestige class. She does not, however, gain other benefits a character of that class would have gained, except for additional spells per day, spells known (if she is a spontaneous spellcaster), and an increased effective level of spellcasting. If a character had more than one spellcasting class before becoming an arcane trickster, she must decide to which class she adds the new level for purposes of determining spells per day.

FAQ
Does a wizard (or other character that uses a spellbook), receive bonus spells to add to his spellbook when he gains a level in a prestige class that grants an increase to spellcasting?

No. The increase to his spellcasting level does not grant any other benefits, except for spells per day, spells known (for spontaneous casters), and an increase to his overall caster level. He must spend time and gold to add new spells to his spellbook.

You are right, I didn't read it closely...

Is it worth to lose Ench and Divination for it?

It is the less tricky choice and seems more wizardy then roguish, but sure the extra slot is not going to be wasted...

P.s. Got it...Ring...

I'm a 3rd lvl Gnome Rogue going to take the first lvl of Wizard.
We play with CORE and ADVANCED manuals only

Character Spoiler:

I'm a Gnome cause I like it, I know it isn't great because the ability boost isn't that useful, but that doesn't matter, our campaign is a RP campaign and isn't so important to squeeze everything from a pg to have fun.

modified Stats:
STR 10
DEX 16
COS 14
INT 16
WIS 8 (this sucks but is fun...)
CHA 10

I'm thinking in a ray/touch AT, so looking for scorching ray shocking grasp chill touch and similar.

Only roguish PG in the party, but sometime the summoner's Eon does the scouting due to darkvision

Party composition:
me ,Serpentine Sorcerer, dualwelded Ranger, Summoner

I'm not the face of the group, but the skill master role is still mine (wiz lvl helps me with all the knowledge).

Racial traits Magical Knack and Reactionary.
Gnome trait Pyromaniac.

Fets:
Precise Shot
Point Blank Shot
Finesse Rogue

I think this explains who I am.

Now I'm in front of some big choices:

Arcane School and spells

Generalist: versatility and no opposed schools, no drawbacks...useless powers (lvl8 is very good, but I get only 3 lvls of Wiz)

Divination: very good powers, don't like spells

Transmutation: Good powers if applicable to "self", Spells ok.

Evocation: almost useless powers, very good spells.

Illusion: I'm good in this without specialization...

Fire: mmm...may be interesting...loosing Chill Touch and ray of frost, 1 more use for scorching ray.

What I don't like of specializing is that every lvl, I have to chose 1 spell from the school I specialized in...

Affordable choices for opposite school IMHO are 2 from Enchantment, Divination and Necromancy.

Is it stupid to get as bonded object a knife?

What do you think?

Naturally yes...
That was just an example cause it was a 1st lvl spell.
That means it works with schorcing ray too and that's interesting!

I like you!
That's the answer I was looking for! :-)

Hello evryone!
I've been looking for an answer to this question but...nothing...
What do you think?

Example:
Gnome 3rog/1wiz
With Pyromaniac and Magical Knack

Casting Burning Hand it will be casted like a wiz of 3rd (MK overlaps Pyromaniac) or 4th lvl (they stacks: +2 from MK and +1 from Pyromaniac because is a fire spell)?
