Guys, I'm gonna have to pull out. I am really pressed for time right now and I have two pbps that I GM right now. Sorry.
I am down 2 spells - one third level and one first, so I'm good to go.
"Now, creature, you have to now that you are doomed if you go against the chosen of Asmodeus?" Casts Inevitable Defeat
Nathaniel seems to be no longer absent minded. He stops thinking about the black horse and goes after the wolf, ready with his spells.
Guys, I'm very affected by this volcanic ash cloud from Island, so I don't know when will I get back to regular posting.
I'm at a friend's house so I have just a few minutes to post. "I claim the symbol of the whore goddess for myself. I don't care for the rest. Do with it what you will - but I would like to adopt that horse. He killed those goblins that captured me and I owe the horse a debt."
I am going to be without internet connection for at least a week. Sorry.
"Yes, that's it, Killer..." Can I lead him somehow? I don't have appropriate skills, but I could role play it?
Nathaniel reaches into his handy haversack and grabs an apple from his rations. "Here, Goblin-killer, here is the nice apple. You must be hungry after all that stomping. Come now, don't be shy. Would you like to become mine? I am no great ride, but I promise you that i will amend that. You and I will ride in Wild Hunt with hell hounds around us and imps above us and our enemies shall flee - but that will be futile, of course. Oh, we shall have so much fun together!" Nathaniel will try to calm the horse and feed it with an apple. If the horse is saddled he will try to ride it back where he left the others and where he dropped his rapier.
DM Wellard wrote: Muchorak dashes though a door on his left and ends up in a bedroom..he cowers away from the small wolf into a corner obviously out off his mind with fear. After a few seconds though his eyes clear.
Nathaniels mind clears and he finds himself standing in a courtyard off sorts..the bodies of a number of goblins are scattered about and a large black horse is in the process of stomping a body into small bits[and now we know what happened to the ones who captured you]
"Hmm... what? Asmodeus, I hate dogs! First that flee bitten rug of a wolf and then... No matter. The whore is dead and I have avenged the insult done to my person." Nobleman stops for a moment to catch a breath and looks at a horse. "I say, I like what you did to the place. I always liked black horses. You look magnificent!" Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17 to determine if the horse acts like normal animal, or more intelligent.
Nathaniel drops his rapier and starts backing away, mumbling "Asmodeus, no... my mind... no..."
"Feel the power of my mind, b+~!+!", says the Chelaxian with a haughty expression.
Sorry for not being here for the start of the fight, guys. Nathaniel will cast Hold Person on Nualia on his next action
I'm gonna be updated tomorrow, just to let you know.
"Because of me", answers Chelaxian. "Now, better tell me is there any more of you here!" Intimidate 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Nathaniel approaches dead brute and spits on him. "Stupid monster! I've wasted a spell on you!" Then he looks at the room behind the bugbear. "What do we have here..."
Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
"Damn your eyes! Submit!" Casts Daze Monster
"Stupid brute, are you sure that you know what you are doing?" Cast Daze.
Nathaniel remains behind, ready to jump in with a spell.
"I must say, you look considerably better when you are not wearing fur."
"You do seem to be directionally challenged person..."
Of course not. This is just great role playing.
Ï have a handy haversack as well, if you have a need of more storage space."
Nathaniel looks at the field of battle and slain dogs, and then he walks towards the door with his rapier still in hand. "Perhaps these mutts were guarding something or someone?" he mutters to himself. "I wonder..."
Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
"Flying dogs! What next? Cows with wings?"
I think not. The second animal just will not attack because I cast Daze on it.
"This dog is getting on my nerves. I always was a cat person. Stand still, Asmodeus damn you!" Casts Daze.
"Alright then, I'll finish the mutt myself." My base attack is lowest, so I'm gonna use the next round to Coup de grace the hound.
"Will someone please kill that fleabag before it wakes?", asks Nathaniel drawing his rapier.
Nathaniel points a hand at a first hound and casts a spell of slumber: "Sleep, you mutt!"
Nathaniel moves to the back of the group, ready to cast a spell as soon as the door opens.

"Yes, embarking on a completely new venture does prove taxing. But I must say your assessment of the goblin is breath-takingly insightful, oh thrall of Thrune." "Yes, yes, delightfully cynical. Keep on trying. Eventually you'll get the hang of it. Now, I find these snake eyes strangely reminiscent of Lamashtu's get. Hmm..."
Inikai wrote: Nathaniel Morai-Thrune wrote: To Inikai, in Varisian:

You see fit to be insolent to those of us who are capable of overcoming goblins whereas you dramatically failed to do so. Of course, I may be mistaken. Perhaps you tied and gagged yourself and the miscreants simply found you and took advantage of your state. If so, forgive me for my erroneous assumption." "Which one? Now be quiet. I'm trying to think. This goblin looks rather strange."
Knowledge (History) 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Romon wrote: In Elvish: ** spoiler omitted **
Romon whistles at the mural. "That's one big goblin."
Romon wrote: "We had one of those where I grew up too. She was hell with a whip." "Ahh... quite. I suppose that you can say the same thing for my Majestrix as well", answers Nathaniel, speaking very slowly.
Romon wrote: Seeing Muchorak and Ali stop, Romon does likewise. Guess we're not pursuing after all. He follows them back to the unopened (west?) door. Passing Nathaniel he says, "Thrune did you say your name was? Aren't they Chel wheels?" "I was adopted in the house. I bear no common blood with Majestrix. In fact, I am the only descendant of House Morai. Should I perish, my family name dies with me."
Nathaniel ignores the barbarian and follows the wolf. His formidable intellect was already devising suitable vengeance for both goblins and crude barbarians he was with.
"You have suffered some deep childhood trauma, haven't you? You do know what trauma means? No? Pity. Perhaps I'll introduce you to the meaning of word at some later date, when I finish with those goblins..." More louder. "I think that they haven't taken anything. Let's go. I thought that barbarian are strong and silent types. Asmodeus knows you all talk to much."
"When this is over, I just may get a new rug for my study... wolf pelt should do the job..." murmurs the aristocrat, before calling more loudly: "Wait, you fleabag! I must check if all of my equipment is still with me!"
Thanks, I never played this kind of character before. Almost always I played strong and silent types. It's good to be part of this game. Wellard, is my equipment with me?
"I have made my vow - and I intend to honor it. I think that you'll come to regret declining my generous offer of assistance. But no matter. If you know where the green bastards went, I'll be more than happy to follow you. Until they and their masters are dead, that is. And you, dog, stop growling. I can't wait to introduce you to some hell hounds that certain friends of mine keep..."
"Who would want servants like these, priest of Nethys? Methinks that it is not I who am in the wrong here. You are all blinded by your own prejudice against my nation. When you look at me you see devil armies of Baathor and fail to see a man in front of you. Is that what you call honor? How did you think to extract information from that women over there? Shall you cut here with knives and burn here with fire until she speaks? Or will you let me enchant her and reveal the truth? Tell me, you noble defenders of justice, whom do you trust more: a devil when his word is given, or a demon when he smiles in your face and tells you what you want to hear? Decide quickly - I grow weary of this."
"Asmodeus, give me patience! Listen, you mutt, I am not interested in harming your friend over there, but I very close to changing my mind! I just want to find out who in the Nine Hells ordered those green imbeciles to ambush me! It sure as Baator was not their idea!"
It's "Vow" like in "oath", sorry
Nathaniel notices the aggressive posturing of the man in front of him and raises his eyebrow. "You forget yourself, barbarian. I am not your enemy - but I could be if you wish it so. It is up to you."
Alisebett wrote: I notice no alignment posted on the PC sheet? Guess we'll just have to wait until Wellard gives the result of Ali's sniffing ;-) Alignment is posted just beneath character's name. Its N as in True Neutral
"Yes... I have noticed that you serve Nethys. I assume that the wolf is some kind of shapeshifter? Druid, perhaps? No matter. I have more pressing matters than introductions." Chelaxian walks towards the woman and gently touches her face. Looking straight into her eyes, he softly say: "Have they treated you wrongly, my dear? I am sure this is just a huge misunderstanding. After all, what can you expect from uncouth barbarians like them? Come now, don't be afraid. All will be well... jus look into my eyes..." Casts Charm Person
