Hello, all.

I’m not certain what’s happened to DM Mathpro or whether this game will get off the ground.

With RL being as it is and no posts/communication from the DM these 3 months, I am respectfully withdrawing from the game.

I hope you are okay, Mathpro. Best of luck to all.

Kind Regards,
Nalesa.

Thanks for sharing that message, Amboy.

I wish Mathpro's dad the best of luck in his quarantine period. It is very hard when one is on the front-line during this super virus.

I hope everyone is keeping safe at the moment. Wishing all continued good health. Please keep your spirits up.

Sense Motive on First Mate, to determine if he is telling the truth as to all being fine and well or if he's hiding something: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 (Sigh.)

The Captain was forsaking his duties for an ongoing tryst with the new passenger, Leana? Who was she and was she so important it was worth Captain Alizandru Kovack risking his position and the lives of the people aboard his ship? The colourful female gnome had inquired quite vocally on the matter and Nalesa overhead the First Mate and another passenger talking about the same thing. Nalesa dipped her bread into the fish stew and popped it into her mouth; taking a long sip of water to wash it down.

Wiping her mouth with an old kerchief she kept tucked inside her sleeve, Nalesa finally found some courage and addressed the First Mate as politely as she knew how,

"Mister Devers, is there no way to reach the Captain's ear in this matter? You have been doing a valiant job, stepping up and working hard. In your honest opinion, how long can you and the crew last with the absence of the Captain? Has anyone checked on him, gone in his cabin, to determine if all is indeed well? Should we be concerned?"

Diplomacy to deal politely via conversation and gain answers from the First Mate: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

Even having grown up in Roderic's Grove and travelling the river by small boat, Nalesa still preferred the feel of solid ground beneath her feet and not the rolling motion of a larger ship on the open sea. Even as the days passed and the work kept her occupied, she longed for the end of the journey and getting off the Jenivere.

Holding the tin plate of food and a cup of water, Nalesa made her way to a table in the galley and sat down in one of the spare chairs. Nalesa lifted the meagre, dry bread roll and dipped it a little into the cup of water to soften it before taking a small mouthful of the fish stew and wet bread. Food was food, and, she understood well enough that when travelling over long distances one could not be overly fussy when it came to what there was to eat. We need to keep our strength up. Nourishment of some kind is better than nothing at all.

For a short time, she simply ate and drank in silence; content enough to listen to the ebb and flow of conversation around her. Nalesa glanced at the First Mate, Alton Devers, and felt compassion for his position and predicament. She wondered why the Captain remained in his cabin - was he sick or was there something they were being kept from knowing. If one of the sailors or travellers casually looked her way, Nalesa merely smiled and inclined her head. She did not mind happily talking to people and getting to know them; yet she never forced her company or conversation on others. As she ate her portion of food, Nalesa glanced around the galley; discreetly studying people and listening out for any interesting conversation.

Perception to see or hear anything of note during supper: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

@ Kendrella: If your feline companion can swim, maybe Kendrella can hold on or be pulled behind her cat? I can’t see why not since Kendrella is small sized and not too heavy for such a thing.

@Sizara: The Envoy features may indeed be useful, even as SLA at once a day. :)

@Sizara: Kenderella has diplomacy well in hand; and others like Nalesa can assist her. With your great strength score, perhaps Swim would be the better option to give your skill point to at start of game? :)

I dotted and then deleted said dot on gameplay thread to keep the thread clean.

No problem re providing the spell links, DM Mathpro. :)

I gave Nalesa Swim being she grew up in Roderic's Cove and it made sense. However, with limited skills, she'll have to forego Climb (and hope she doesn't fall too much or land too heavily this level. Ouchies.)

Welcome, St John Smythe. :)

It's simply unfortunate that we do not have a skill monkey represented in our group at start of game. I changed over a couple of things. Nalesa now has Spellcraft and Detect Magic as we begin the AP. She will be able to pick up Know. Planes on Level 2.

Perhaps Kenderlla, you could swap out your rank in Bluff for Know. Arcana this level? Your Cha is quite high and you'll still have a good Bluff (+5) and that skill can be performed untrained. I realise your INT mod is +0, but at least you'd have +4 to trained Know. Arcana, so it is covered this level. I can then put a skill rank in Know. Arcana next level and that skill can also be fully covered. However, respectfully, I do not wish to tell any player what to do with their character and leave the decision to you. :)

Kenderella:
I noted that only Common is currently listed on your languages. I believe Gnomes also get Gnome and Sylvan as starting languages? You may have simply not had time/opportunity to change that field as yet. :) If I'm in error, then no worries, please ignore this note.

Alright. Nalesa's char sheet has been updated with her gear/equipment. I think she's ready to go (bar any unintentional errors, which I can fix immediately upon feedback). :)

Hello. It's good to be here. :)

I will be able to post (at least) once per week day on the gameplay thread. Later today/tonight (I'm out of town for most of the day as it's Saturday, here, and I have work on a rental property), I'll finish putting her gear/equipment in order.

Nalesa is able to assist in social situations, can provide some buffs and certainly healing.

I look forward to playing alongside you all.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to play on one of your tables. Congratulations to the selected players on both tables and best of luck to those still wishing to get into a game. :)

I cleaned up the character (adding a backstory) and made an alias for Nalesa - Half-Elf Cleric (Devout Pilgrim) of Desna. All the info, including answers to DM Mathpro's background questions are now on her profile. Robert Henry already has her placed on his ordered list of submissions (via my original post); however the information is probably easier to read on the alias, here. Thanks, again, for you consideration. :)
