You can post any out of character conversations in this thread as well as questions for me or to other players and when you are going to be gone for an extended period of time please let me know here.

I know I said I would be getting things started today in the recruitment thread but its possibly going to be tomorrow and more than likely going to be Monday before things get kicked off.

Just a reminder when things go live in the gameplay thread I would like for each of you to please try and post once per weekday if you can. I know life happens and I'm not super strict about this but the one post per day helps things move along. I do not expect players to post on weekends because I rarely will(Unless I work Saturdays but that's the only exception).

Very happy to be here. I've had a long hiatus from pathfinder and pbp, but I'm very excited to be back. Thanks for showing faith in me Mathpro. I don't have any other games at the moment, so should have no problems keeping at least one post per day. This character was originally made as an oracle, but I changed her to sorcerer because you requested more arcane characters.

Kendrella is primarily focused on battlefield control at the moment, but will certainly branch into buffs and utility soon enough. she'll also have great social skills and her BFF (big furry friend) will help out as much as possible in melee.

I was very torn on my starting spell selection as I really wanted mage armour and especially enlarge person. I'll probably try to pick up scrolls or wands of those asap. @Sizara: Are you interested in enlarge person? Or are anyone else? If you're not, perhaps I should try for long arm instead or something...

Hmm....not sure. I'm good with either one actually but they both have unique advantages and both are extremely useful in and out of combat.

I'm also don't have any games going on either and I was on a long hiatus myself too. So I'm glad to get back into the swing of things so I don't foresee any trouble posting at least once or twice a day.

My character might also help too with social situations thanks to her Envoy racial trait but her Diplomacy isn't that high. She's mainly a mix of tank and damage dealer. I'm using the Pathfinder Strategy Guide to help figuring out what feats and rage powers to take although most rage powers will focus on animal and combat range powers. Most people shy away from playing elves as barbarians but I see my character as an interesting challenge.

Edit: Sorry for my earlier confusion. I misread the archtype. I removed the mistaken question.

@DM Mathpro: Looks like Kenderella will be the slow one of the group... I think everyone else have at least 30 ft movement, right? Is it ok if I buy a saddle? Then I won't have to slow is down. I guess I'll have to give up my scroll in order to be able to afford it as an exotic riding saddle is 30 GP.

I will be able to post (at least) once per week day on the gameplay thread. Later today/tonight (I'm out of town for most of the day as it's Saturday, here, and I have work on a rental property), I'll finish putting her gear/equipment in order.

Nalesa is able to assist in social situations, can provide some buffs and certainly healing.

Good bye Agutsu, welcome St. John Smythe! I see that you've picked up exotic weapon proficiency Falcata. Did you know about the following option? It would allow you an extra exotic weapon proficiency at basically no cost by swapping around where you get your feats from:

I'm working on adding my animal companion to my sheet. Edit; Sheet updated.

I don't have any blast spells at the moment (and I don't think anyone else got either), so we don't really have much to deal with swarms (other than silent image which might work against some). If people can afford it, it might be nice to pick up flasks of acid or alchemist's fire (assuming we are allowed at this point).

Hey all! St. John reporting in from table 1.

I hadn't seen that trait before Kenderella. I don't know what else I would pick up though. Does anyone know of any other exotic weapons from Taldor?

Is there anything this group is lacking skill wise? I still need to make some tweaks as St. John was built with background skills.

The most useful might be a ranged weapon, though I'm not sure which ones would fit with Taldor. I think an orc hornbow might be a bit of a stretch, though perhaps a net would be ok?

I haven't looked at all the sheets, but we don't have anyone int-based, so I imagine knowledge skills will be lacking. I plan to put a point in those I have as class skills at level 2, but I'm kinda low on skill points, so I wasn't able at level 1.

It looks like we are missing arcana and planes and there is no spellcraft.

I'll pick up two of those next level (along with perception), though Nalesa will have better scores than me if she chose to take them. I guess we'll be stuck unable to identify items for a while.

Welcome, St John Smythe. :)

It's simply unfortunate that we do not have a skill monkey represented in our group at start of game. I changed over a couple of things. Nalesa now has Spellcraft and Detect Magic as we begin the AP. She will be able to pick up Know. Planes on Level 2.

Perhaps Kenderlla, you could swap out your rank in Bluff for Know. Arcana this level? Your Cha is quite high and you'll still have a good Bluff (+5) and that skill can be performed untrained. I realise your INT mod is +0, but at least you'd have +4 to trained Know. Arcana, so it is covered this level. I can then put a skill rank in Know. Arcana next level and that skill can also be fully covered. However, respectfully, I do not wish to tell any player what to do with their character and leave the decision to you. :)

Kenderella:
I noted that only Common is currently listed on your languages. I believe Gnomes also get Gnome and Sylvan as starting languages? You may have simply not had time/opportunity to change that field as yet. :) If I'm in error, then no worries, please ignore this note.

Just a few housekeeping things

1) Gameplay thread is up for dotting.
2) it's not a huge deal at this level but can I please have all casters link to their spell descriptions for every spell they can cast.
3) just a heads up climb and swim play a major role early on

I dotted and then deleted said dot on gameplay thread to keep the thread clean.

No problem re providing the spell links, DM Mathpro. :)

I gave Nalesa Swim being she grew up in Roderic's Cove and it made sense. However, with limited skills, she'll have to forego Climb (and hope she doesn't fall too much or land too heavily this level. Ouchies.)

Cool. I can also help (in a limited capacity) with the Envoy racial ability that I have. Comprehend languages will certainly prove useful. :)

Sorry about the double post here, but the Envoy racial feature also allows me to use besides comprehend languages, the detect poison spell in addition to read magic and detect magic, but I can only any of those spell-like abilities once per day. So, I'll defer to y'all to when you think I need to use it.

Again, I'm using the Pathfinder Strategy Guide to help build my character as she levels up. I'll probably boost my Constitution score up until it reaches 14 and then switch to strength. :D

I'm hoping Kendrella will be able to ride through whatever swimming or climbing challenges we face or that someone can carry her. She's not very good at either and they're not class skills. Does someone have a knotted rope? I can afford a rope, but not a grappling hook.

I know I can switch over a skill point, but I'm not even sure it'll be mechanically more important and I feel all the skills she has now fit her better. Bluff fits her capricious nature and it can be used with silent image and\or ghost sound to greater effect. I'll pick it up level 2 so we at least get a couple rolls for the checks, but hopefully there won't be any too important such checks meanwhile. Thanks for reminding me about my mistake with languages.

I'll update my spells shortly, not sure I'll be able to fit them all in the header though.

Note that both diving and hot weather outfits are possible to get for free as the starting outfit. Though diving outfit might not work if you wear armor. I think I'll switch over Kendrella's outfit to a diving outfit even if I'm hoping she won't have to make the check herself.

@ Kendrella: If your feline companion can swim, maybe Kendrella can hold on or be pulled behind her cat? I can’t see why not since Kendrella is small sized and not too heavy for such a thing.

@Sizara: The Envoy features may indeed be useful, even as SLA at once a day. :)

Hey guys just a heads up I have a real life game that I'm DMing today so I won't be on much. We're tackling book 2 of Rise of the Runelords with a wizard, a bard, an oracle, and a bloodrager...this should be interesting.

I guess with the haramaki diving suit won't be effective, so I'll just go with warm weather outfit.

I added links to the spells on my sheet. The racial spells are kinda hidden away under the racial bonuses, is that ok or should I move them down with the other spells?

So how are everyone doing? I find that things are way more busy with the kids not in kindergarden during the day so it's stress to get enough hours in even if I can work from home. Though I try to find time to check the forums a few times per day regardless.

Not much as changed for my wife and I. She now works from home 5 days a week instead of only 3. I work at Home Depot and they have changed the store hour so that they close at 6pm now. Since I was the closer I get to change my hours and get home 4 hours early.

Just waiting to see what happens next.

My dad is a dr and one of his patience was confirmed positive for COVID-19 so he's under quarantine and has been asked to not practice medicine until he's been confirmed not a carrier. This is especially worrisome because he's a cancer survivor and my mom has stage 3 cancer that is currently undergoing treatment. So if he does get it we're not sure who's going to take care of mom because he won't be able to and she needs care...she fell out of bed the other day...

That was the last day he posted on any of his games..

My guess is that his is out for awhile but hopefully will come back..
