![]() From 1st to 2d Edition, Pathfinder become, IMO, way too complicated without enough added fun. I tried, these last day, to post something, anything. But everytime, I froze at the idea of posting words that could be perceived as inappropriate. Trust was broken between players, by my fault. And trust never really come back, I know it. Because I don't trust me enough myself to honestly say "It won't happen again." That's my kind of humor IRL, maybe I put too much of myself in Nabi, someone who likes to play with words, someone who likes to flirt with the limits. But when you flirt too much with the limits, you will cross them sooner or later. It happened IRL for me too. So it's better to part ways, so you can find somone you can trust to play with. ![]()

![]() you're right on second edition, it's not my stuff, I don't really enjoy it, and find it too complex. but the "misstep"*, as you gently call it, is the main reason. The less said about it, the better. Good game to all. *for which I have no one to blame but myself. ![]()

![]() I think I'll take some time off this game, maybe until the 15th March. Please bot me as needed. I feel really ashamed by my own words, and under no circumstances I should have spoken that way. The worst being that, in a table game, I would probably have made the same joke. My humor can be quite provocative, and I didn't think about the impact of my words, or about asking consent about the joke. I didn't see it as some flirtatious attempt, it was just, from Nabi POV, the pleasure of making a joke in a stressful situation, to release the stress. I wrote the text, didn't even took a second to re-read my words, to consider the situation, the emotions of the other character. Believe me, Hmm, I understand your POV. I'm very deeply sorry about how I acted. This in not the man I am everyday. This is surely not the man I want to become. I want to stay respectful of women, of people. I'm pretty sure, even if that is no excuse, that my carelessness is linked to me being in a rough place mentally and emotionnally since a few months, but I do have to take care of other's emotions too. Saddest thing to me is to have maybe (probably!) hurted Lady Ladile, who I like and respect. ![]()

Medicine re roll, Hero point: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26 Nabi wanted to give a pill to Clover, to vomit the poison away (hey, you don't know until you try !) But the clumsily let the pill fall, and not, as one would have expected, into Clover's cleavage, which would have been clever, but in her throat. The halfling can't breath for her few seconds, but Nabi, quick thinking, uses some of her lockpick to grab the pill. She even avoids any innuendo about how halfling can't deepthroat, or that sometimes its better to spit than to swallow ![]()

![]() Medicine: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27 Nabi jumps into action, trying to force out the poisoned mist from the halfling's lungs. Being a rogue, she sneak a peek into Clover's cleavage. Probably because of her mischevious nature and ability to play with words I like the sound of it "sneak a peek into Clover's cleavage" Don't be afraid or ashamed, I'm a certified doctor now. Beside, I'm a girl too. Besides, Leaf's feather would have tickled you, and you could have coughed more. Not good for you ![]()

![]() Nabi has quite a bunch of questions for the halfling What are usual tactics for wolves, Clover? How can we better fight them? Do you know how many wolves we might meet, with all those tracks? What kind of behavior would be unusual for wolves? I'm asking because if their pack leader is a werewolf or something like that, maybe even an intelligent wolf, or another druid, knowing how they are supposed to react and spotting unusual reactions can make the difference if we have to fight. ![]()

![]() Deception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26 Do you have some codex of rules we should abide too? Are some specific acts of circus prohibited? Maybe, as you know what can best please the local crowds, you can give us some hints, and see how well, how hard we work to accomodate the public: of course we need money to live, honest money, but we are driven to entertain, we enjoy the roar and cheers of the crowd. You won't find another circus willing to bring smiles on the faces of everybody, and it's easier, I guess, to rule over happy people. The Menagerie is nothing more than a parcel of rogues, thugs and liars only some of them talented enough to be walking into the sandy ring, bound to bring trouble into your town, willing to do anything to anyone for a few more coins, because their show don't draw enough people. If you want real professionals, law abiding entertainers, look no further than the glorious Circus of Wayward Wonders And Nabi manages to stay straight faced. ![]()

The silver tongued Nabi speaks, showing deference to the authority and appealing to her sense of justice I am sure you want to be impartial, and you can't judge what you haven't seen. We were victims of sabotage, and we have done everything we could to right the wrongs that had be done to our circus and to the crowd. Let us put a show, just one night, watch our circus and be entertained, and see by yourself every care is taken to ensure the safety of the crowd. If you are pleased, we'll stay, paying our taxes in Escadar. If not, our circus will go to another town, whose coffins will fill with gold and silver. We are a traveling troupe, after all. ![]()

Nabi tries a new set of daring acrobatic moves. At first it seems she put her expectations too high. Then she finds her groove and amazes even herself. The third week of performance shows her giving a dazzling display of acrobatics: the moves as quick, precise, the execution is sharp, and her natural banter is in full form, engaging the crowd reactions Groovy. It seems that, from now on, the word "Groovy" is one of her favorites. You soon have your ears full of it, everytime Nabi succeeds at something. Which is quite often. Fortunatly (or not), the acrobat might have over-extended some muscles at her peak performance, but even limping a bit, she's able to meet some more reasonable expectations. ![]()

![]() A good new for our skills: I forgot Skill Heritage (Medicine) makes me Expert at level 5 automatically. So I can use my L5 skill increase on another skill. I took Natural skill as a Racial feat for Religion (T) and Intimidation (T) Maybe I can use my L5 skill increase to get either Diplomacy or Intimidation to Expert? It looks like I forgot (since the beginning of the game) 1 skill to be Trained: I should have 14 skills (out of 19!) Trained at level 1, and I find 13 Background Thievery, Underworld Lore (feat Subtle theft) (2)
But my starting Skill list was Athletics, Acrobatics, Deception, Diplomacy, Lore (Antiquities, Circus, Underworld), Medicine, Performance, Society, Stealth, Survival, Thievery (13) So, I'd like to add Craft (T) to that list ![]()

![]() THat's a good point, Rulean. I forgot I could take a lower level racial feat, and not only a level 5 racial feat. here are my Untrained skills so far:
I don't see Nabi as really intimidating. She has a way with words, but more to mock, taunt or deceit. I think Craft (to repair things on the circus, or to create traps maybe) could be useful, and perhaps all that stuff about battling demons and things from other planes/ gods could have sparkle some interest in Religion (just to know how to beat them) What about the Skill Increase? Should I boost my Medicine, and get a useful Feat too? Another skill to Expert? ![]()
