Again, Kendra dabs at her eyes, clearing the tears that still haven't stopped.

"Councilman Vashian, I thank you for your time. I shall visit you if I have any futher need."

The heavy councilman nods and moves towards the door. Kendra shows him out and then comes back and settles into the now vacant chair. Putting on a brave face, she once again addresses you all.

"Thank you again, each of you, for coming today. It is good to see the legacy my father left behind. I will need at least a few weeks to decide what I shall do with the home. I'm not sure I'm ready to sell it, but I haven't decided if I will stay in Ravengro now that all this business is over with."

Kendra stands again, and says"I ask that you do stay for the month, as Father's will requested. I have rooms here, and the house is quite spacious. Your room and board will be free of course. Now, if I may excuse myself, I will go fetch the chest that was mentioned, I believe I know the one."

feel free to respond or chat amongst yourselves. I can also answer questions for Hearthmount, if you wanted to ask.

After the funeral service is over, the two gravediggers slowly fill in the hole where Lorrimor now lays. Kendra says her goodbyes to the other guests, and then turns to invite you all back to her father's house, (now hers) for a drink, as well as to hear the reading of his last will and testament.

feel free to RP any conversations or questions that you have for Kendra before getting back to her place.

One by one, you all shuffle in to the Lorrimor home, crowded bookshelves line every room, and there seems to be a thin layer of dust on most of the furniture. The house smells nice however, as Kendra has made some small amount of food to go with the tea she is brewing.

"Please, make yourselves feel at home. I have tea coming, but if you'd like something stronger let me know. Councilman Hearthmount should be here shortly to read father's will. I am going to retire to my bedroom for a short moment. Please, mingle...I'll be right back."

Kendra looks exhausted as she leaves the room once everyone has been served a drink, this has obviously been a heavy burden for the pretty young woman.

After the mob has retreated, Kendra asks no one in particular, "Necromancy?! Are they really that ignorant?"

Her eyes puffy, and holding back tears, she looks at each of you,"I...I'm so sorry you had to see that..."

Turning to Konstantin, "From my father's descriptions of you, and your way with words, I assume, you are Mister Sokolov. I am grateful for your intervention. I fear what they might have done, had you not been able to talk them down."

Some of the other people in attendance, Councilman Gharen Muricar, and Zokar Elkarid (the tavernkeeper), offer their input as well.

"You've done a good thing there friend."
"Aye, the loud one was Gibs Hephenus, the rest just local farmhands, all of low character. Glad you were able to avoid a scuffle, I don't think they was looking to just share words..."

Kendra dabs at her eyes, and then says"Let's put this behind us, I would see this dark hour finished. Come, Father Grimburrow is waiting."

The conflict now past, the procession continues up to the plot Kendra purchased for her father.

+1 trust point. I'll explain this mechanic in discussion thread.

Kendra is swift to respond, her sadness swiftly transforming into
anger. “What are you talking about?” she cries out. “I made the arrangements with Father Grimburrow. He’s waiting for us! The grave’s already been...”

"I have no idea, what they are doing there. If they are here for the burial, they should have joined us at the gate." Kendra replies flatly. Her face is twisted with apprehension.

Kierra, with a look of sincere gratitude on her face, says to the group,"Thank you, and let us be off then. Father Grimburrow is already at the burial site...as tradition would have it."

Kendra takes the lead, and begins the somber procession down the road called "The Dreamwake" towards the Professor's grave.

Kendra says to the group as they arrive,"You all must be friends of my Father. I am Kendra, Professor Lorrimor's daughter. Thank you...th-thank you for being here today. With the way things are in town these days, not many people have come to the funeral, and no-one has come by the house to pay their respects to my dear father."

Kendra looks at each of you with a mixture of curiosity and relief, but she asks no questions, her grief still very evident on her face.

"I...I know that I don't know each of you, but would any of you be willing to be Pallbearers? There are only three men here...at least one of you?" At this, Kendra begins crying gently.

please roll a knowledge local or knowledge religion

"Yes, thank you. I will be fine."

"I really have no knowledge of the whispering way. I know my Father studied it at times, he would leave his notes out on occasion, but I really don't know anything"

Kendra looks at the pale, quiet man,"I would be honored for you to keep vigil over my Father's grave. I don't believe that Gibs and his fellows would do anything, but it will give me comfort to know he won't be disturbed." A look of warm comfort, and the tinges of a pained smile grace the womans elegant face.

"Father's journal...? What are these circled entries?" Kendra looks over some of the entries after the journal has been passed around for each of you to review. "What were you doing with the Whispering Way father?"

Kendra floats graciously back into the room after a few short minutes, carrying a relatively small chest made of oak and iron.

Sounding just a little nervous, Kendra speaks to the group, "Here's the key, I want you to have the honor of opening this."

feel free to RP a bit, and I will post in another hour or two, the contents of the chest.

Dareth, you catch Kendra just as she starts walking away....

"We have some things to attend to first Master Ferrar, but if you would like to guard my father tonight on his final journey I would be honored to have you do so."

"...Yes, we'll see you then. And thank you again Councilman Hearthmount."

Kendra turns to address the three of you,"I was truly moved by your words, each of you. I am indeed thankful that you were here to speak well of my father. And now, I would like to invite you back to his house...well, I suppose it's my house now..for a drink, and to hear father's last will and testament. Councilman Hearthmount has some other matters to attend to, but he will meet us there after those are in order in about an hour."

At this, Kendra walks off leaving you to follow her, or fend for yourselves.

Kendra looks at the group, weary and blurry eyed. "Thank you again friends. I apologize that you had to be involved in this. Ignorant people, the lot of them!"

The other funeral attendees, profess their shock at the "attack". The councillors (the two well dressed men)indicate that they recognize the thugs as "local farmhands, all of low character".

Kendra is swift to respond, her sadness swiftly transforming into
anger. “What are you talking about?” she cries out. “I arranged it
with Father Grimburrow. He’s waiting for us! The grave’s already
been...”
