Purifying Icicle has a fortitude save entry that isn't clear what it applies too.

It stumped us during a game the other day so we just played it like a regular spell attack. Are we missing something here? It reminded me of very similar spells, Searing Light and Chilling Darkness, that I looked back to for clues, but no luck.

It probably should have the ATTACK trait too.

Was this (fortitude vs. spell attack) confusion for Purifying Icicle ever answered? I added the spell to a PC in a Malevolence game and the GM decided (after wondering about the discrepancy) to use the spell as a Spell Attack.

During the rest of the week, I forgot about the trouble this spell causes and bought it w/ AcP for a different character I am playing tomorrow in a PFS game.
It would be nice to find out what the correct rules are before I start my game tomorrow evening. Any help is appreciated.
I could not find any Errata for LO:KoL (p. 94 in book).

Can a Water Kineticist use Ocean’s Balm on themselves?

Has anyone bought this new Flip-Mat Classics edition and been able to compare to the older, original release that had extra, unusual creases to the map? If the new edition doesn’t have the unusual, extra creases, I might consider buying it.

Is the boon granted for playing this scenario still available after the Remaster? And if it is available, does the boon need to be re-written to mesh with the Remaster Witch?

Yes, I realize/understand that lvl 20 is the actual hard cap for AP and module play (and if Paizo ever writes PFS scenarios that get to lvl 20). Too late to edit my previous post.

Is there any chance you will reprint this flip-mat? It has disappeared utterly from all the used book stores and is out of print, but it is the second-most used map in PF2 Organized Play scenarios. You would have a ready market for this one if you reprinted it!

Hmm

I would also buy this if it were reprinted; it is really needed for my PFS2e game group.

There's no hard level cap. You can currently get to level 12 with just PFS content, higher if you include AP's and modules, but there are no scenarios (yet) for level 13+ characters.

So, there's a soft level cap of 12, but it probably/hopefully rises as new content gets published.

Thanks for your reply: Soft level cap of 12, hopefully rising in the near future for PFS & no level cap for AP and module play is the perfect way to remember this.

So the highest current game level for PFS2e is approximately level 11? Reason I am asking is I started playing Society games in Sept 2023, and have never thought about any game level cap until tonight. I am in one 5e private campaign (started February 23, 2023): it will probably finish in 2-4 months, at level 12, right now at level 10). The reason I am in it is that it was the first game I could find and join after hearing about the OGL disaster and deciding I wanted to play RPG’s again.. PFS2e games started at my local game store in Sept 2023 (and I joined w/ the first game that was offered). I have a lvl 5, lvl2, & lvl 1 characters so far (with a new level 1 going to be started soon and undoubtedly more as time goes on). The people in my 5e group are not prospective PF2e players (they have quibbles about this and that, most are not worth mentioning). But one quibble was the complaint about there being a level cap to society play (the person who mentioned this did play frequently in old PFS 1st edition games). I told them I’ve never heard of a level cap. I have actually joined 2 different society groups. The one that is farther from me (where I play less) has an upcoming 7-10 level game (PFS2 5-11, Equal Exchanges - The Hidden Current). With my nearby Society group, we are finally reaching level 5-8 on Feb 21 (PFS 2-08: A Frosty Mug). I also got into a private PF2e game playing the AP Malevolence (so I have 3 different places to play to gain exp for PFS2). Now, finding this thread tonight after wondering about a level cap, it appears that level 11 might be the current level top (not counting playing AP’s). But it seems like there is a chance that scenarios may reach level 11-14 if enough players keep playing and those scenarios get made. I plan to keep playing in PFS2e for a long time (once my 5e game finishes, I won’t be searching for another). I personally have no worry about any kind of PFS2e level top. If there is one, I will just keep playing different new characters at the lower levels.

If you get the softcover version will they be releasing a map you can buy separately? The hardcover version includes a map. The softcover version doesn’t say anything about a map.

Much as I might like to have one each of the standard issue, the sketch cover, and the special edition, that's a lot of money, and besides I'm almost out of room for books.

It does sound like the FLGS thing isn't working out the way Paizo suggested it would back when they announced the sketch covers.

Yes, I think you are correct. Can I ask you about the Special Editions? (I see you are a subscriber). Do they have an image of the color cover on the inside (as an extra, not just the ghosted-out image on the title page)? I own two of Chaosium’s special editions: Rivers of London does include a color image of the regular cover as the last page, but Basic Roleplaying does not include a copy of the regular cover in the back. Since I probably won’t be getting a copy of the Sketch cover, I am considering buying the Special Edition instead. I have been unable to discover if the color cover is reproduced inside the Special Editions as an extra page.

My local store had to order 10 copies of the regular cover in order to get 1 sketch cover. It would have nicer if the rarity of the sketch version could have been made more clear. The blog post above made it sound like anyone could special order a sketch cover. That is not the way it worked out at my local store. The number of people wanting a sketch cover exceeded the number of copies they will be getting. So there will be a raffle to see who gets to buy one of the few copies available.

Do the Special Edition book versions reprint a page (inside) with the cover image of the regular edition?

Thanks for these replies. I’m relatively new to PF2e, got my first books in the Spring and just joined Pathfinder Society Play in the first week of September, so I don’t always use the correct phrases concerning Ancestries and Heritages. I need to make some new characters and I like the vague, mysterious description of the Jadwiga in the LOCG. I was thinking of making a Human Jadwiga Barbarian with the Water Elemental Instinct from Rage of Elements (Elemental Barbarian Instinct, p. 54). Also, when I receive the new Player Core, maybe a Jadwiga Witch. I have only received my PDF for GM Core (it shipped separately and first, apart from Player Core): in GM Core there is no mention of the Jadwiga (that I could find).

Are the Jadwiga going to be included in future Pathfinder 2e ORC releases? Jadwiga (Human Ancestry) are mentioned on p.10 of the Lost Omens Character Guide and originate from Irrisen. A Jadwiga is included in one of the illustrations on page 10 of LOCG.

Has anyone received the physical part of this order yet? Mine was "Shipped," but UPS still shows it as not handed off.

And yes, I know of the hot mess that is UPS-MI. I live that life every month, being a subscriber. This is part of why we keep each other updated in the announcement threads.

Forgot to hit reply, see my post above (got my physical items yesterday).
