Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Woops, didn't realize it was her, Hard to see on the map. Uhmmm... I'll choose one of the other targets. DM choice, I cant get back to roll20 now.

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Miro moves up and in to the room, sighting the woman at the far end of the room.

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Miro continues to inspire courage. At the same time he draws all his power in and focuses it, before sending it flowing through his limbs. Miro becomes more dexterous, his reflexes coming sharper and better.

Cast Cats Grace.

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

21hp? Yeah that has to be wrong. You would have 11 at level 1. Miro has 36 and he is a Bard.

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Swinging his Crossbow up, Miro takes a half breath, pausing, before pulling the trigger.

Inspired Pointblank Shot-1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 111d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

The Crossbow jams and Miro begins to swear quietly to himself as he begins to try unstick the firing mechanism.

Maintain Inspire.

"Well that wasn't very smart. I have a feeling my friend here might make you pay for that. Just lie down and look at your navel and he might let you live!" Milo says to the Half-Orc, as he gestured to Sugua who had just replaced a bandits head with an empty spot.

'Note to self, let Sugua kill things in the down time, he seems all pent up with aggression. Can't be good for his soul!' Miro eyed his Half-Orc companion and laughed softly, shaking his head.

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

"Drop your weapons and reach for the sky. There is no chance you can stand up to what stands before you!"

Miro levels his Crossbow and sends an encouraging wave of energy flowing out from him, targeting all of his allies.

Miro Inspires Courage.

Ride-[/ooc1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

Clicking his heels softly in to the flanks of his riding dog, Miro keeps pace with Khargol, his crossbow gripped before him, resting in the crook of his arm.

"Honour can be found in the flawless execution of a tactic that brings about your triumph over your enemies, my old man always used to say!" He grinned up at the Half-Orc to show he was joking, before his face went cold.

"Keep your eyes open, watch your corners and above all, do not die out there. You are all dear to me now. Well... dear is a bit strong. I'd miss you all for different reasons. Even you Sugua!" He glanced at the other greenskin, before nodding.

"Hit them hard and fast and keep moving. Punch through to the center of camp and cut the head off the snake. We do that and we win!"

[ooc]The Speech is Miro beginning to Inspire Courage so everyone gets +1. The Inspiring will begin just before we actual can get off our first round of combat.

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Miro walks out towards the gate, standing arms crossed across his chest beside his riding dog, chewing on a piece of jerky. "We need to get back to the Temple yes. As soon as we do that, we can get the place back on track. We should try find a priest of the God too, if we can. It would be good to get one on our side!"

He began to tinker with his Crossbow, frowning over a slightly jammed trigger, before clicking it over and in to place with a grin. "Ah, there we are. It is going to be a good day, I can already tell!"

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Miro smiles and takes another draw on his pipe, exhaling a ring of smoke before speaking. "And that would be a waste of your resources, yes we need someone who is dedicated to the role, to leave you free to do those other interesting and useful things!"

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Miro sits back on the chair he is occupying and takes a slow draw of his pipe, frowning around the stem in thought. "Erastil will probably be pretty pleased to see his temple cleansed, regardless of who does it. I do agree with Sugua though, we DO require a Healer. I have a couple healing Spells in me but nothing compared to someone who was born to it. No a dedicated physician would be best!"

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

That is damn good to hear. Sorry I have been so absent too guys. I've been stupid busy with work and I kinda drifted away.

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Sorry guys. Work is hectic.

Miro takes a step back and away from the battle, moving to the back, his fingers dancing across the lute strings at an incredible speed.

Perform-1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16

Oops, might have missed a note there. Miro keeps his performance going so Inspire Courage for another round. Yaaay!

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

F+%@. Sorry to hear that Khargol. That is horrible.

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

"Oh my... Well that did not work like it was supposed to, now did it?" Miro lay his Crossbow down carefully, before pulling out his Lute and beginning to fiddle with the pegs for a moment. When he was satisfied it was tuned properly, he began to play a slow tune, dramatic and looming, a tune beginning to build, meant to increase tension and expectations.

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Miro moves up and takes aim alongside the Half-Orcs, raising the crossbow to his shoulder and sighting down it's length, compensating for the distance, before squeezing the trigger lightly.

Repeating Crossbow Shot-1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 241d6 ⇒ 5

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Miro laughs softly and nods. "Oh no doubt, I am well aware how dangerous the fairer sex can be. I hold no illusions that Xantria so chose, she could hoist me in to the air and swing me around like a puppet. You yourself could probably cause my things to explode quite neatly. And I meant no offence, unlike when you called me 'little man'. I did not mean to suggest that my current company is not beautiful and enchanting, because you both are, truly, but I have a fondness for women more of my stature, if you understand."

"And just because she is sweet, doesn't mean she won't bite. I kind of plan on it actually..." He busied himself with re-lighting his pipe, grinning to himself.

Everyone is so size-ist! :P

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Miro ran a hand through his hair and frowned for a moment before shrugging. "Sure, the temple sounds about right. We should at least crack in to it and see what we can do." Miro grinned, idly rubbing his riding dog between the ears as he stared up at the Half-Orc.

"Maybe once we get the temple done we can go get some sort of civilization for awhile. It ain't that I don't like ya'll, coz I do, but it is more so the fact I have started to say such things as 'ain't' and 'y'all'!" he grinned, pulling his pipe from his pouch and stuffing it full of tobacco, before lighting it and taking a pull.

"That and a man has needs. And what I need is a flaxen haired beauty, petite and sweet, who loves the sound of music!" He smiled to himself.

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Miro pulls his lute from his back and begins to play a few notes softly, before launching in to a quiet, but stirring performance. The music ebbs and flows through the battle, seeming to screech aggressively to match the attacks of his allies, egging them on, driving them to hit harder and more accurately.

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Miro steels himself and levels his crossbow, staring out in to the darkness, ready to loose a bolt at anything that isn't a large green Inquisitor.

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

"Could be a large Firefly maybe?" Miro shrugged, staring out in to the darkness, unwilling to venture any further out without being sure of hat was out there.

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Yeah I don't actually think an Alchemist could do it but Miro doesn't know that, he isn't an Alchemist.

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Miro nodded his understand before shaking his head. "Sorry, not my brand of magic that. Maybe our lady Alchemist has a balm or something to apply a burning quality. Kailee?"

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Miro glances over at Sugua, before returning his gaze to the darkness around them. "I can cast some magic on your weapon to cause it to shed light, if'n you like!"

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Miro stares out in to the darkness, cranking his crossbow back and frowning, staring around. What was out there? He had no idea, but he would be ready for it.

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

I would be more in favor of a Neutral aligned Kingdom, just for the wealth of options it would provide. But I can see that it will probably end up being a good aligned Kingdom, aye.

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Are we an entirely good nation? Was that decided? Why only two choices?

I'm ready too.

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

I am waiting for more direction. I mean I can sit around as Miro all day, talking about nothing, but that won't help the story.

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Miro arched an eyebrow at the Alchemist, before laughing a little, shaking his head. "I'd rather my tobacco not explode in my face and turn me purple, but thank you for the offer m'Lady." He inclined his head slightly to her, before turning to listen to the rest of the discussion.

When Sugua spoke Miro shrugged before replying. "It isn't blood I want, it is just I feel we should explore more, map the area as well as we can. The more we know the stronger and more well defended we are."

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

"Aye. An admirable plan. We should get back to that as quickly as possible. Have you documented the whole area directly around us currently?" Miro exhaled a ring of smoke after he had finished smoking, smiling at the large Half-Orc.

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Miro takes a seat at a table, taking out his pipe and filling it, before sparking it up. He sighed as he sat there, lost in thought, exhaling the occasional smoke ring. 'We need a plan and we need it fast.'

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

"Poison also doesn't make for a very good story. And when you are trying to secure an area, legends and heroes help inspire the populace. I'm not opposed to Poison however, just as long as it is done... discreetly. He should be poisoned so he is weak THEN killed in a duel. Always better to be safe than sorry!"

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Miro shakes his head softly before standing up and shouldering his crossbow again. When Khargol replies to Sugua, Miro jumps in with, "If we move we could do a little exploring before we go back to the Post. It would mean we haven't wasted a whole day, only part of one."

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

"We talk, we vote, we decide what to do. Then we plan. And that is the important part!" Miro keeps his eyes peeled for any sign of danger.

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Miro raises a hand in greeting to the woman, but stands there silently, staring around him with a bored expression on his face. 'We could be back in the Trading Post talking this over already... What is going on? Why the hold up?'

He sighed and began to mentally run through the spells he knew, focusing on the runes he needed to manifest their power. It was a boring, mind numbing process but it wasn't like he was doing anything else.

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Miro smiled as he took up the back of the line, walking along silently in the wake of the tall people.

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

When they are well away from the meeting point and on their way back to the Outpost, Miro speaks up. "Making a deal with her and that messed up pet of hers, is what is best for right now. It will allow us to accomplish our goals and to grow strong. There are things we should not discuss in the open however, the Forest has ears, after all!"

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Miro bows his head to the woman before turning to the group. "What do you think? Does any more need to be said right now or should we retire and discuss?"

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

"A politician!" Miro replied, with a small laugh.

"I would love to say, 'Do we have a deal?', but I feel like we must talk among ourselves first. Are we safe to walk back out the way we came, just for some privacy?"

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Miro shook his head before smiling, turning to look at Zeleysa. "We don't have to trust her, we just have to be clear about how useful to her we can be. Money binds tight, especially for lawless folk. As long as we provide a service that she wants and we don't mess her around, she probably won't stab us in the back."

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Miro smiled broadly before continuing, "If you could control your people and keep them from attacking the smallfolk and those merchants who are in league with us, then we could ensure that you get your fill of our enemies, and those who supply them. It would be simple really, we work together to tie down the area and you get free reign to take what you like, outside of us and the people who swear allegiance to us, of course. It could be quite a nice little deal really if you think about it," He smiled, nodding slightly.

"You share part of the plunder that you bring in with us, in secret of course, and we provide a place for you and yours to spend all of that hard earned gold and silver, without fear of prosecution." He shrugged. "This is all just idle musing, of course," He winked at the woman before chuckling softly to himself.

Specifically Miro is looking for any sign of doubt she may be displaying.

Miro coughs softly before stepping forward. "Might I make a small suggestion? When the young lady here suggested Parley and mentioned Pirates, it came to me that the situation we currently find ourselves in, could actually be described in those terms quite easily. You are a bandit, in all essence, a Pirate. And we are a band of adventurers here to dispatch justice as we see fit, that justice taking the form of whatever we so choose. We are in essence, Privateers." He looked around, to make sure everyone was following him, before he continued.

"The way I see it is we have a common enemy and a common goal. We want to take down the Stag Lord and dispatch his motley crew, as do you. We could come to an arrangement, after that is managed, where by we would both prosper from the surrounding area. A balance of equals, if you will. You stay out of our turf and keep your bandits away from our people and our merchants trains, and we would stay away from your turf and not try to dispense our justice all over you and yours. Seems fair enough, right?"

Diplomacy-1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29

"What Sugua says is true though... New kingdoms gain enemies like flies. If you so choose, you could keep that plan you had and do it, but as an ally of ours, an equal member of our structure!"

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Miros' eyebrows threaten to climb right off of his face as the quiet woman with the explosives steps forward and begins to lay down the law. He laughed softly, shaking his head in surprise, before sighing.

'A performance worthy of the courts themselves. Brava young lady, brava!'

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Miro arched an eyebrow before nodding appreciatively at Suguas turn of phrase. 'Ride the wave or go against the storm. Inspiring words. He might want to be a General but there is something about him. He is big, unwashed and uncouth but men would follow him!'

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Miro grinned nervously at Zeleysa before nodding. "I didn't think of that. This very well may be a trap. Perfect place for it, deep forest, traps, everything aligned to makes this a hell hole for us to crawl out of." He laughed, bitterly before sighing. "Let's hope it isn't that!"

When Sugua mentioned him, Miro grinned. "Hey, I'm staying out of this. I've already threatened someone bigger than me today. Besides, I know better than to cross a woman. My old man used to say that the most dangerous thing in the world was my mother, if he ever crossed her. Of course he didn't have mid-morning meetings with dangerous women who were armed to the teeth and their canine colleague!"

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Miro arches an eyebrow, staring around him with a renewed sense of caution. Of course the place would be trapped, it only made sense. She may be skilled and powerful, but she was still facing down a large group of people, she would have needed the contingencies, just in case.

"Poison, pitfalls, spike traps, snares... This forest could hide anything!" He whispered to himself, tightening his grip on his crossbow and refraining from moving a muscle more than was necessary.

Male Halfling Bard / Level 4 / HP [36/36] / AC 19 / T 15 / FF 15 / Fort 3 / Ref +9 / Will +5 / Initiative + 4

Before Arriving
"I can see the tales now, a land subjugated by a Lord in antlers, ruling through tyranny and blood. A band of intrepid adventurers, sent by the Swordlord to free the people who live under the iron rule of the bandits who rove the forests and highways. Cruelty and murder met with compassion and revenge for all of those left beaten and bloody by the Stag Lord and his band of criminal scum. A party led by two gentlemen in Green, one a savage warrior capable of cruelty and kindness, the other a noble intellectual, powerful in his own right." He began to hum slightly under his breath.

Perform (Oratory)-1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

"A tale that culminates in blood, peace and prosperity for the kingdom and a new rule, to insure that there will be no more need for the smallfolk to fear the roads and woods. The people sing the praises of the band of adventurers who saved them and the land is better for it, and all it took was for one head to roll, antlers and all." Miro trails off, frowning slightly, committing the structure to memory. It would make a fine story.

Present
Miro took up a position behind the two Orcs, keeping an eye on affairs, between them and the woman who sat opposite them in the glade.

"Cells tend to not always hold people as well as they should. When it comes to resistance, sometimes it is better to seek a more... permanent solution." Miro nods in agreement.
