Anyone know if this game is just in the doldrums or its death-throes guys?
Mercy too stands stoic, keen to hear what the man has to say, but skeptical of his ability to be redeemed as the hard truth tumbles from his enchanted tongue.
Mercy approaches the man under Nic's boot; "It would be wrong sister. Too easy to end his life, when the hard thing is to spare it yes?" The tall warrior stoops down the the dying thug, placing a hand upon his wound; "Mother Dawnflower... Heal the wounds of this one, and allow him to see the light." :
As the thugs burst through, they are met with hard words and harder steel. Mercy brings the flat edge of her scimitar to bear to the nearest thug; :
before spinning - bringing a backhand of the blade against the same target: :
Mercy smiles first at Rhasuel's nonchalant calm at the impending encounter, before nodding in agreement at Zev's plea for pulling of punches. The holy warrior attempts to make her presence indiscreet, but does little to hide her armoured form; : Dawnflower's grace! I am a warrior of the light, not a lurker of the shadows! With a grimace the tall half orc readies blade and bulwark; :

Mercy nods and draws her scimitar and readies shield; "Agreed Sister... Best we keep eyes and ears sharp should something befall them that prevents a warning or signal..." :
Salsa: As the music starts to float through the night sky, Mercy's eyes narrow as she tries to discern from where it comes; :
Skald of some kind.. Tickled by Ronnie's notion of her character being the only guy in the group... Am musing an Aasimar who possesses Valkyrie ancestry.
Thrown my helm into the mix as a replacement. If selected you and Ronnie will be getting sick of me lol. @Cal: Indeed good luck, hope things settle and we'll keep the home fires burning for you.
Mercy stands with Elise; "I shall keep sentinel with my sword-sister here..." She nods toward Zev and Rhas; If you do not wish either of these good men to back your hand, then we must decide a sign should you encounter trouble..."
Mercy smiles at the japes and misadventures; Humour is good Dawnflower. It warms the heart... before the face of cold steel... The holy warrior clasps Rhaseul's shoulder; "Younger and wiser eh my friend! A blessed combination..."
Still here - just getting over man-flu and haven't been struck by any bolts of dialogue inspiration... apologies will get my game head on soon enough. In the meantime I'm enjoying the risqué scouting of Nic lol.
Mercy readies her gear, nodding at her comrades as they do likewise. At Allysen's question she flashes a hard smile; "Storming in may be the heart's desire, but we need to use our heads... Finding out what we can, what we know makes sense..."
Mercy too joins her friends for breakfast, but like Zev she has chosen to garb herself in the new armour recently delivered. The tall holy warrior props a new shield, bearing the bright emblem of the Dawnflower upon its face against her chair as she takes a seat. "Morning's Blessings to one and all..." Mercy looks to Rhasuel with a smile, then furtively admires her fellow half orc who is also bedecked handsomely in new arms and armour; "...indeed you do Rhasuel..." And he is not alone... Zev looks... impressive!
Mercy graciously accepts a tea and allows the more chatty of the group to run with the conversation.
Mercy has 2 off CLWs already... but who can resist an Enlarge Person tincture with her favourite Orchemist ;) Work had me slammed last week and a colleague graciously gave me the flu they were struggling with... Battled that all weekend... grrr. Trying to catch up on my posting now gang :)
Mercy smiles grimly; Another lost Lamm to join our flock... Paulus would be proud! The holy warrior keeps an eye on the street, as the newcomer addresses Elise.
Mercy allows herself the briefest of smiles as she catches Zev's eye; We have been through so much... Yet like the glint of the sun through a fog, these fine comrades all bring light to the City and to those around them She nods in agreement of the agreements; "I think we have earned our rewards friends... And Brother Paulus would take heart to know we are to celebrate life and ready ourselves for the next step on this journey!"
Ditto on the interwebs - and not getting a chance to post at work (good news is I'm still gainfully employed in the ailing oil industry... bad news I've more responsibility (cough) workload (cough) in my new role) Might be a tardy in posting for this week coming...
Mercy shares a silent prayer and a look of knowing with Paulus before he departs. The half orcs unusually solemn mood immediately hardens when the Hellknights march the chained hundreds to toward the holy warrior of Sarenrae. When the armiger confronts Elise, she joins her Iomedian sister, standing strong at her shoulder; "As a holy warrior of The Blessed Dawnflower, I too cast doubt over your hell-blessed version of order... These poor shackled souls do not require chains and the whip. They need clemency and compassion... qualities I fear you know little of..." Mercy looks disgusted at what she see's, and the armiger's sneering comment merely inflames her passionate stance; "Come sister... leave the under-hellion to get back to scaring the old, infirm and infants..."
Here's to a speedy and positive resolution to Ronnie's situ - whatever it is. She, like everyone here, brings so much to the virtual table in terms of both gaming and good people. She'll be greatly missed while she's gone and welcomed heartily back when she returns :)
Mercy attempts to appeal to the brawlers better natures but realises very quickly their ale-addled state grants her little quarter; :
: With all the grace of a newborn desert buffalo, Mercy tries to avoid her companions but instead careers across the slick cobbles before landing ungainly flat on her back. No worries Adam - can completely understand, you know where we are if things change, but regardless hope you have success with the comic - will definitely check it out. And if this is the end for the game - kudos to one and all for some great fun and awesome rp'ing - its been a blast.
As she hefts the Crusader, Mercy reaches for her angelic symbol of Sarenrae in an attempt to ward off the imps attention; "Back imp! Lest you seek to return to the hell of your birth!" :

Both of us will make lighter work of this burden..." The holy warrior slips an arm around the felled and groggy Crusader and lifts him to his feet. "Walk with us and live... Become a burden and my friends will cut you loose of this mortal coil.."
Mercy keeps a booted foot on her downed foe; "Does this one come or do we leave him? He may offer insight into who we face and their strengths and weaknesses..."
Mercy will stand over the downed thug, partially to protect him from further harm, partially to keep his actions in check should he rouse. "This one is our prisoner... He may provide us with information, but I pray his words will come not from threats but from the need to unburden... to redeem..."
As she takes a deep wound from her opponent, Mercy's look hardens; "I will bring you the gift of peace... Alas not the one you wake from to reflect on a life best changed, nay your intent will be met in kind cur!" Inspired by her fellow half-orcs stunning display of martial prowess, the holy warrior of Sarenrae brings the hard edge of her scimitar to bear:

Somewhat taken aback by Zev's jotunn-sized transformation, Mercy gazes momentarily up at her fellow half-blood, before regaining composure ; Dawnflower! He is impressive! The paladin presses home attempting to fell another foe; :
Congrats to all - and Adam you know I can empathize regards the slowness/RL chew; nae probs on this front with the pace mate, as El Ronza said we'll wait :)
Mercy offers a grim faced nod to her Crusader; "I'll not slay you unless you draw my blood. These are desperate times and folk are drawn to desperate acts... When you wake know the Dawnflower has blessed you with a second chance and rise anew!" With her last words Mercy steps in and brings the flat blade of her scimitar to bear hard: :
Mercy also shares in Paulus' hard smile as she readies herself for battle; "So we fight... again. And with the Dawnflower's blessing win...again." :
Mercy nods and places her ungauntleted hand upon the girl's chest - where the pain still remains; "Let this healing light of the Dawnflower warm your soul and heal your pain childe. As the sun rises so shall you." :
Mercy nods a greeting as she shadows Paulus to the side of the wounded girl; "Mercy. Sacred Warrior of the Blessed Dawnflower. With steel or spell if we can aid or save we will." The paladin removes a gauntlet and looks to her faith brother; "Brother - I can assist with healing if needbe... By laying of hands or the vials I carry..."
Mercy lays a gauntleted hand on Cal's shoulder and whispers; "Restraint friend Cal. He wants you to react..." The shield of the Dawnflower stands tall next to her comrade, and flashes a hard smile; "You Hellions do like to bray like the goat-headed devils you all like to worship... Now what say you all stay quiet whilst those who saved your misbegotten arses talk... and maybe we'll all survive this chaos. Eh?" :
Mercy winces as she listen's to Cal's colourful diatribe. Stoically the tall warrior mutters a dry aside; "Consider them suitably chastised... Now best we are on our way eh?"
At Paulus' shoulder Mercy stands, stoic and firm - her shield presented, and eyes looking for signs of further trouble from the chaotic streets beyond; :
