The prince is one of the best bad ass archers I have seen portrayed.
Could definitely be a pf fighter or ranger.

Don't worry. Both the TWW and Wild Rager builds have great AC.
Leaning towards wild stalker since it gets good skills, FE, perception to Wazoo and can tank like a M***erf**ker.

He dresses with Ascaria's Aid (2minutes with her help)and sets his dog to GUARD himself, so he has a flank partner.

thankfully the dog appears to understand.
Then he leaves the room and heads in whatever direction the dog seems to indicate, listening for anysign.

Marcus lays with Ascaria, his sleep untroubled for the first timein so long.
Apollo yawns and splays out, laying against the door...

Marcus is glad for the quiet night. He'd spilled quite a bit of blood that day, both his and others. He accepts Ascaria's hand and smile and retires to her room. He brings Apollo with them and sets the heavy dog to sleep in front of her door. A formidable weight to block entry. They were both tired and he would like nothing more than to go to sleep in her arms, a comfort he honestly had not thought he would feel again.

But he has moved past the brothel incident.

The main reason he does not like Iscarel is he seems to have no respect for anyone.

Marcus and Apollo work the room as usual. Ascaria had done a great job of cleaning and hiding his wounds. Things were covered up, so to appearances he looked 100%.
Word must be getting around, things were quiet and running well.
His biggest problem was keeping his trademark scowl in place, for Ascaria had done much to make him smile. The old weight of his loss was still on his heart, but his new exchange of honest feeling was lessening the burden...

Marcus half expected an angry slap. An admonishment of some kind. Instead he was greeted by a face that had obviously been crying. The great hug was initiated by her, but he returned the embrace with all his heart. For only the second time in his life he felt as a man being loved simply for being who he was. Ascaria new his failings and loved him anyway.

Screw the shift, it can wait....

He picks the frail girl up in his embrace and closes the door.

The meeting concluded, Marcus heads to Ascaria's room and knocks more forcefully this time.

St Casperian's. I never said anything about that place to him

Marcus wanted to shout at the man. Hit him. But he was learning who paid him and that there were others here who cared about this team. He hadn't asked his friends to charge in after him.
So when he spoke his voice was even and his response measured.
We were trying to find Larur. Forgive me for thinking your Right Hand would be important to you. As for what happened today. WE were attacked in daylight going through a bad neighborhood and made them pay to the tune of more than 5 men lost, without any of us being put down. Those who saw, along with the Gendarmes will no doubt speak of what happened today. The skill of the Golden Goblins' security may entice patrons looking for a night out with competent guards ensuring a safe outing. I accept your call on the midnight excursions. Now given all that's happened today, do you want us to go to Seed or not. Ethaniel's healing is spent so if there is the slightest risk of trouble I'd not reccomend it.

Calm yourself friend. You got away clean and believe it or not I was let off without charge. That bystander backed my story that Badeye attacked us. It was a bad day for him. We killed many of his men, he didn't get a coin and now the Gendarmes are after him. We are OK. Now tell me, what became of Ascaria?

Not hearing a reply from Ascaria's room Marcus worries a little. But she may not have returned yet. He hears Saul shout and heads into the common room. Apollo, Heel!

The dog happily bounds over to his Master and sits down, finally getting the pat he was after.
He sees Tippy and not yet responding to Saul says, Did you all get back alright? Is Ethanial.OK? Where's Ascaria?

Then as an afterthought he nods to Saul.
We had trouble.

Having dropped Andrezi off with the bouncers, Marcus looks for Ascaria. He was worried about her and she had some healing Magic that could help Andrezi.

He goes to her room.
Ascaria?

Who got back first? Me or the others?

Marcus dips, and carefully moves Andrezi off the street and next to a building while the gendarmes canvas the area and he awaits the cart.

When it arrives, he hops aboard with his friend and enjoys the irony of the situation.
I did most of the killing and get a slap on the wrist and a cart ride home. The others are walking. I hope Ascaria is OK.

He pats Apollo. The dog dig very well. He continued to worry though, they were no closer to finding Larur, but at least the patrol leader was competent and would look into...Goddess. I never mentioned St Casperian's!

He broods the rest of the way back. Arriving, he tips the driver a gold coin and carries Andrezi in. The monk was on duty.today.

He then stands and awaits the officer's decision.
Bloodshed in the streets is never a good thing. But a fellow Guardian can understand standing by a friend.

We were down here looking for a friend. This 'Badeye's' thugs launched a daylight ambush on us. We were trying to get away, since these 'beggars' were shooting at us and had better numbers. They gave pursuit and were surrounding us. I smashed his window hoping to make a stand in an empty building but changed my mind. We ran again and Andrezi was caught. I do not leave friends behind.

Marcus keeps the dog on a short leash and commands Sit pushing the dog down if necessary. He glances around at the other bodies as if the nature of their deaths should be obvious. They tried to take his friend.

He looks to the bomb thrower.

Marcus grabs Apollo by the collar and pulls the dog to him. Patting and soothing the animal guardian.

Nope Marcus, because the actions all happen in your turn. Therefore any conditions gained are in effect at the end of your turn.

OK. I have successfully had that in RL games but it those my GM gave the companion his own initiative. That would slow things down though. It's cool.

Waife is it cool if Marcus delays on all his turns to let Apollo go first when the dog is in 'Guard' mode? The idea is Marcus uses the dog as a bodyguard to harry/trip his opponent before Marcus attacks? This is because Handle Animal states in Guard mode, the dog auto attacks whomever hit Marcus last round. Marcus would know this
