Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
I am really enjoying this game, but sadly I am unable to keep up. I am in a race against time. My fiancé is moving in with me the first weekend of june. All of my time has been devoted to getting the house ready. (flooring, electricity, plumbing, yard) I am unable to keep up with the posting. Thought I could, but I am just too busy with all that and my 12hour work schedule. It is not fair to keep everyone else waiting for my posts. I will leave my character up on this site incase the GM wants to bot him. Thank you for the fun times. You are all great people.
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
I agree Mr. Grawlund. Something doesn't feel right. I do not like that constable. Lets us try this house it seems to be the only one in the whole village that is still occupied.
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
So the villagers believe the danger is in the town and not in the sea?
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
Marcus listens intently to the disheveled man answer the questions.
discern lies next 6 rounds I will know if he is intentionally lying.
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
I am an Inquisitor of the church of Asmodeus. We heard that something foul was troubling this town and came to investigate. I demand you come down here at once and answer my questions.
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 22
Alright everyone into the building being out here with unknown entities and one of our number inside dealing with Asmodeous knows what. Leaves us vulnerable and divided. Better to be in one spot dealing with one problem at a time. Marcus begins moving to the house keeping an eye one the roof and an ear out for the scuttling sound.
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
Marcus takes up a covering position in case the roof runner turns out to be hostile. Kit we are not alone. You need to get back to us.
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
Let us go and see what is causing the gulls to scream so. Animals often sense wrongness before humans. perhaps there is something over there that is upsetting them. Marcus begins walking toward the building.
when we reach the house I will cast Detect Chaos and look around.
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20 Well we need to get those people back here so that we can figure out what plagues this town
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26 Looks like he fell through. See the broken pieces of wood floating there. Everyone be careful. Marcus points to the broken wood floating in the water.
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
The rest of us should hang back. We don't want to spook him. Marcus stays back but keeps his crossbow handy.
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
Cozy little place isn't it? I might by a place here, vacation in the winter. Marcus quips with not just a little sarcasm.
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
Yes, let us get moving. Quickly now I smell an illegal cult. Marcus mounts his horse call's his dogs over.
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
Marcus listens to the fisherman's story as he approaches the criminals. He stops just as he gets close to Kit. Looking the miscreants over He say's in a stern voice as if speaking to misbehaving children.
"We may be dealing with something serious. So we just might need your help. As of right now you lot are on parole. Any attempt to run will be treated as an admission of guilt and your punishment will be immediately applied."
He looks at the fisherman.
" Lead us to Black Cove, Mr. Vanderholt. We shall find out what is going on in Black Cove and punish the perpetrators accordingly."
Marcus loads the manacles back on his horse wrapping up his special ones carefully and stowing the separately. Before mounting his horse he looks around.
"Is anyone wounded and in need of healing?"
heal: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9 to see if anybody is hurt.
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
It is a minor detour. If it is something significant we can alert the Hellknights, if not we can take care of it ourselves. Hopefully they have a secure place for our prisoners. Speaking of which, Marcus reaches down and picks up the shackles time to put these back on. Though this time Kit gets the special shackles.
Marcus looks at the man. What is your name? Describe these sea monsters. Has anyone in your village acted strangely recently? Any people congregating in an odd manor? He says this as he walks up to kit with the shackles.
knowledges when he give a description of the beasts in this order dungeoneering, Nature, Planes, religion, adding an additional +3 if it is a demon to the planes roll.
knowledge: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 261d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 201d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 261d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
sense motive: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (14) + 17 = 31 to see if he is hiding anything or lying
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
you could bore it to death with your endless yammering. Marcus replies with a little irritation. As he takes aim once more at the nearest crab.
crossbow: 1d20 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (3) + 1 - 4 = 01d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Damn crossbow's site must have been knocked loose again
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
Marcus take's careful aim at one of the crabs (preferably one not engaged in combat, if any)
Light repeating crossbow hit: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9 -2 if it is in melee
damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
Marcus advances on Lorne. Unlocking his manacles. Now lets take care of these crabs.
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
only a minstrel would know so many bad one liners and try to use them on the ladies.
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
Harry you used to be a naval Mage. I am reactivating your commission, temporarily. Cooperate and it will look good at your sentencing. Might earn you leniency. You help clear out these critters. Marcus unlocks his manacles. Law, Order. Heel. You can help to kit. Not sure what kind of use you or the minstrel will be
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
Trying to make the release of the prisoners organic not forced. (I.E. Eek a kobold we are doomed. Release the prisoners to save us.
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
[creepy voice] You're a dirty little kitty aren't you. Yeah you clean your self. [/creepy voice]
;-p
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
How much do I know about these filthy naughty criminals? Specifically the wizard's history?
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
percp: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (10) + 14 = 24 vs Kit
Percp: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17 for boat
Don't move another finger Kit. Law, Order. Guard. Marcus commands pointing at Kit. The two mastiffs advance on Kit, giving a low growl. Marcus is so intent on the prisoner trying to escape that he misses the commotion in the sea. He pulls out his crossbow loading a bolt.
Help? Not likely, more like run off as soon as our backs are turned. Don't none of you move till Robert investigates this commotion
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
Sorry it took me so long. Been laying floor for 12 hours.
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
manacles of cooperation will be placed on the obvious spell caster. sense motive: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (3) + 17 = 20 To discern what the prisoners are up too with all their talking We will eat when it is time to stop. Don't try any funny business or Law and Order will eat extra tonight with this he points to his two large mastiffs walking beside his horse.
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
At the risk of over stepping my bounds Harry has a lawful alignment. Might be best to stick him with the law unless he changes his alignment or was dooped/ framed.
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
Perhaps the lawful amongst us is in pursuit of the of a group of law breakers(the rest of the party)? The kitty is not nearly as good as she thinks she is. ;-p
Male Human (chelish) Inquisitor/6
Well sounds good but I don't want to mess around with yet another website. Bouncing back and forth between the two. So I'm out thank you for the consideration.
I've expanded the background story. Fixed what grammar issues I could. That is about as good as it will get. I only have a little bit more to do. At least till the group is picked and if I make it. I am building a personality through the background. I will put a description down as a separate "spoiler". In the near future.
I am open to suggestions to the background and character build.
I still have a lot to do. For the back ground and personality.
If I am picked. I will add the other party members. To the back ground in appropriate places, in the journal.
But here is the beginnings.
