From the other side of the village the lizardfolk begin to let up a cry. "Takaresh! Takaresh!"

Suddenly there is a great deal of noise coming from within the village.

A pair of slimy logs wash ashore and the Work hunters scuttle up off the shore into the forest with you, out of sight of the village.

Kyra's nearly falls in the water, but someone catches him just before he takes a dip. With some care you are able to navigate your logs across to the other side.

The Work Hunters (as that party usually calls themselves these days) begin to haul some large logs out from the bog and begin to attempt to stealthily come across the river.

(We shall see what their stealth checks yield)
