Magdi nods at Rory's assessment.

"With Swamp-Speaker Daruthek gone, the ritual cannot be completed," he says, looking at the headless body with distaste. "It's possible that someone else could come along and begin again, but it would take recreating the seeds as well and I don't think anyone in the Mireborn tribe has either the knowledge or the inclination."

"Perhaps then we should use some of the beds in the barracks to rest?" Magdi suggests.

Magdi looks around the not-quite-as-hostile chamber. "That should leave just one seed to deal with," he says. "Be aware, though, that once the fourth seed is deactivated the storm wall will be gone and we'll have to deal with Daruthek and whoever is assisting him with the ritual." He looks around at the injured group as Argil moves about as if examining each person. "I bring it up to point out that we may not have a chance to rest or recover resources once the final seed is disabled."

That wasn't very subtle, was it?

"He actually can't speak Auren," Magdi offers, as he continues to watch the elementals. "I sense the energy from this seed has halted. We can try to get past the elementals to deactivate the seed, but I don't think we need to. It's not feeding energy to the ritual or the storm wall."

Magdi frowns. "I don't know if by disabling one of the seeds, we've slowed the storm. I know that all four are needed to begin the ritual. The defensive storm wall can probably be maintained with as little as one feeding it. Perhaps that knowledge is contained here." The man gestures towards the tomes and scrolls. "Perhaps not."

"That l-looks like one of the s-seeds. I-If you can get c-close to it, you might be able to d-disable it with magic," Magdi answers through chattering teeth. "You c-could just smash it, but there's a l-lot of energy in it. I'm n-not sure what would h-happen."

Knowledge (religion): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

Magdi gestures towards the female figure. "That is Hshurha; the elemental lord of air. And that one," he continues, indicating the other, "is Kelizandri; the elemental lord of water." He frowns."They are evil and should have no place in a temple to Gozreh."

He turns to the halfling.

"Sorry, but I focused on healing today so I have nothing to help against the cold."

"This may help for the weakness," Magdi says as he offers Ashlion a small gourd. "Drink it."

It's a potion of lesser restoration.

"The ritual is most likely being performed behind that storm-wall," Magdi offers as Argil moves about him excitedly. "According to what I've read and learned it's drawing on the energy from four elemental seeds. And without dealing with them, we won't be able to pass the energy of the storm."
