Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

Cambyl and Lukan would have been the governors of the brew. I'm upset that you guys got rid of the half keg :P It's good to see that Bron was able to redeem himself as Duke of the stolen lands. Or has he?

No problem, man, it's good to finally get some news on you. Hope your family is ok now :)

The family is great. Everything has calmed down quite a bit. I've been catching up on what happened after I left off. Sounds like Lukan got married off and finally proved his noble heritage - not in that order. Not sure how well he is doing in the noble courts, lol. Must be hell for him. But it's good to hear there was some closure. I'm always willing to do some guest starring if Aron is interested ;)

Ganit, so you finally succumbed to your darker side? I think Lukan would have a soft spot you. He'd probably give you a chance for redemption through a fair bout of fistacuffs.

Very cool! It's unfortunate he had to leave. Our PC's still had a lot of scores to settle and new fights to be had.

You bet. Aaron can always use Lukan as an NPC if you want to settle some scores. I'm sorry I had to leave like that. I was having a ton of fun. I just had to step away from it all and focus on the family. PBP was eating up too much of my time along with some other things. I'm just really glad you guys kept going strong and are still having fun.

ROUND 1 INIT 13

"This 'mite' hurt a little bit!" Lukan laughs as he attacks the mites that are next to him with just his longsword. He is clearly not all too concerned about the little creatures.

Sword Attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Sword Damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Bah, these rolls have been horrible!

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

Lukan looks over his shoulder to Carina while Ganit stabs the eggs and jests, "We should probably be out of here just after 'Mite'-fall'."

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

Merry Christmas Eve!

Is everyone prepared to push on?
Lukan marches forward, deeper into the cave. He takes point, sword and shield drawn.

Sword Attack 1d20+4-2
Sword Damage 1d6+3
Shield Attack 1d20+3-2
Shield Damage 1d4+1

Ah poop, forgot about Guidance. Can I just add the +1 to those attacks?

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

Round 3 Init 21

The centipedes should have been able to do something last round?

Lukan attacks the one to his left, attempting to divert it from Bronwyn or Telias.

Full Attack
Sword Attack 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 4 - 2 = 12
Sword Damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Shield Attack 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 3 - 2 = 16
Shield Damage 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

Then I'll take a whack at the centipede =)

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

Oh dang! I thought the mite was dead from this, "Collapses to the ground in a heap." after being hit with acid. Its a nasty mite.

Round 3 Init 21

Status::

AC: 21
HP: 19/20

Lukan, convinced that the acid had killed the mite earlier, turns and swings his blade towards the mite, hoping to slay it.

Full Attack:
Scimitar Attack 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 4 - 2 = 17
Scimitar Damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Shield Attack 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 3 - 2 = 11
Shield Damage 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

If he kills it, he will use his shield attack on the centipede.

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

Hah! Take that, "Occupy Restov" movement!

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

Hah! That's what she said!

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

I was thinking more along the lines that they join our cause since their master turned into an acid goo pile. We can ride them into battle!

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

Do we get to play for the centipedes if DM Aron doesn't post within 24 hours?

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

Yup. I plan to, but someone said poison. Think I may wait for a saving throw.

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

Crits happen, and when they happen to the benefit of monsters, especially single monsters that are built to face a group of adventurers, they are deadly. It is truly more intense to be a level 1 or 2 adventurer and have the ever looming threat that a critical could wipe you off the face of Golarion. I just wish I had rolled higher on my last HP roll now :)

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

Ah, I now see where the confusion came from. I was using my template, which says scimitar. Yes, I am using a cold iron longsword and spiked shield int combat. Sorry about that.

Round 2. Init 21

Status:

HP = 19
AC = 21

"Good work Carina." He responds in a harsh tone as he grits his teeth, preparing to attack once again. Not wanting to wait for the centipede to his right to outflank the group, he lays into it. The small area enraging him and sending him into a fury of attacks (power attack)

Full Attack
Sword Attack 1d20 + 4 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (4) + 4 - 2 - 1 = 5
Sword Damage 1d6 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 2 = 6
Shield Attack 1d20 + 3 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (19) + 3 - 2 - 1 = 19
Shield Damage 1d4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 1 + 2 = 4

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

I remember something from the Kingmaker Graveyard, before I stopped reading it because of all the non-hidden spoilers, about a centipede killing people. I'm kind of nervous now.

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

I'm using my cold iron longsword. No curvy sword this time ;). Still debating on if I should focus on a weapon or not.

Lukan misses the centipede and curses as he hunches over in the cave system. "Curse-ed place!"

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

Round 1 Init 21

Status:

HP: 19/20
AC: 21

Lukan adjusts to attack the closest centipede. 5ft to O20 .

Full Attack on the flat-footed (like it'll help with those rolls) centipede at N21
Scimitar Attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Scimitar Damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Shield Attack 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Shield Damage 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

"I'll try to keep the bugs occupied. Those with range, kill that mite!"

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

Sheesh. That sounds amazing. You should try the freedom of no armor. I can dodge most melee attacks - save those damn assassins, but they hit like wieners. I think my alteration is at 70 now, which is my highest skill. I've been jacking that up to get the most out of my armor spells and magic resistance. I use restoration and alteration spells to enhance my combat. It is a really nice combination. Alteration boosts my armor, and restoration keeps me healed up at the same time keeping my stamina maxed. I can power attack all day long. I think I am going to focus on enchanting soon.

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

TWF is god mode I hear ;). At least you didn't go the super cheese route and do TWF & heavy armor. I tried playing a sneaky archer type but gave up quickly on that. Everything just took TOO long. I prefer to run in and smash faces.

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

So... how's Skyrim going? I finally settled on a character. I've been playing a 1 hand sword wielding caster. I don't like the look of any of the armor, but the robes are just so slick looking - primary reason for being a half-mage. Kind of a Magus in pathfinder terms. He gets killed so much, but its fun =) I'm level 22. Was getting tired of the dungeons until I went into one that was mostly traps. That was exciting!

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

Doh! The suspense is killing me =)

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

Lukan perks up and slows down, looking around for any danger.

Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

Lukan looks confused at what Ganit said. He looks himself over after the adrenaline flees his veins. Noticing the small cut on his leg he smiles, "of course it would be a mite that drew my blood for the first time since I started this charge." He dons his shield and waits for Jameson to return. Upon the half-orcs return he decends deeper into the lair. Judging left as character's left, I head down to R2

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

Lukan nods at the ranger's orders and manuevers towards the mite in front of him while he swings his cold iron longsword down upon it 'mite-ly.'

Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 (Dang, shoulda used the scimitar)
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

The sword easily cleaves through the small creature, almost splitting it in two.

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

Added a CLW potion to my sheet.

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

Oh yeah, climb checks... 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

Lukan sees the light sources that simply, no pun intended, outshine his. He is content to return his lantern to his backpack and does so. Pulling his shield he steps first into the cave, keeping an eye out for any mites he may come across. "Ganit, would you be so kind as to let me know if I am about to spring a trap?"

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

"We wont be able to cull this threat sitting around up here. Who knows where these tunnels lead." Lukan holsters his shield on his back and kneels over, pulling a lantern from a clasp on his backpack. He sets it on a nearby rock and begins to strike his flint to the wick.

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

"Woah boy." Lukan commands his horse as he brings it to a stop, looking towards the hidden entrance. He lifts himself from the saddle and steps down. A second later he pulls his cold iron longsword from its hilt and slings his shield onto his arm. He carefully approaches the hidden entrance, waving the rest of the group to follow.

Perception to see if there are any traps: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

Incase you were looking for a decision, I think we are headed forward towards the mites after mapping this area out (and consequently camping for the night).

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

"Well lets throw some bushes over it and be on our way then." Lukan goes to the task and mounts up, ready to head towards the mite's den.

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

"Hmmm. Anyone know anything about mining or prospecting? You might want to take a look in here." Lukan points inside the cavern.

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

Lukan closely follows alongside Ganit with sword and shield at the ready. He travels to the opposite side of the entrance, waiting to flank anything that may jump out. He takes a quick look down into the chasm.

Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15

He looks to Ganit after the ranger provides a suggestion and shakes his head, "Who knows how narrow it becomes down there. A hasty escape does not look possible. Didn't someone mention these creatures as being small? I'm sure they would have the advantage and overtake anyone fairly quickly. I should head first, shield at the ready, with the rest following close behind, arrows knocked and spells ready."

He looks back to Telias and sarcastically snarks, "That is unless our more 'seasoned' members have a better idea."

Ganit, you and I are going to be the only ones left of the original group soon if Bronwyn has dissappeared.

"Men give things meaning, and I intend to bring meaning to these lands." He keeps his composure, having only blurted out once when leaving the room, "And you are nigh mistaken if you think I hide behind parchments or royal decree." Another braggart about what he has seen and what are in these lands. He sighs. "You have been the one disturbing the peace around here. Do not try to play games, old man." Lukan returns inside with Carina and goes to back to his plate.

Speaking of the brave knight. Anyone know where he has been? I'd think he would be most intrigued by the redemption of Kressel.

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

"Watch your tongue!" Lukan pushes the door open just after Jameson, squaring himself off towards the fur ball of a man. "Those 'Royal Bastards' have sent quite a bit of support down to this god-forsaken land without receiving much in return." He watches as the man pulls a charter, similar to his own out and swears under his breath, loud enough for Jameson and Carina to hear, "By Erastil. Don't tell me I have to deal with this man."

"A man opposed to dealing with his own problems are you? Well then, perhaps you should not complain about us bloodthirsty brigands." Lukan looks to those who have made it outside. "You can sit back, relax, and enjoy the peace we have brought to these lands. I'm sure your pets would enjoy your company more than we would, judging by your impudent behavior so far."

Cold Iron Battleaxes are selling for 20g? Where? This a black-friday sale or something? =)

Either/Or. He would likely stand to make more gold by taking Cambyl's share anyway.

Well if Cambyl leaves the game, then that amount of wealth effectively leaves the game. A new character would have to bring that much wealth back into the game to balance it out. I suppose it really doesn't matter too much at this level, and Tark is quite right that we can earn money other ways beyond the limits of the AP, but that would always hinge on the GM.

I guess all we can do is wait for DM Aron to introduce him into the game after everything is finalized to sort it out... In the end we only help the group out if we help him out and bring him up to our wealth level. I was just being ornery ;)

By the way, Tark, you must sign this 50 page legal agreement about treasure sharing before you can join this group... in blood... during a full moon, after sacrificing a virgin and bathing in a fawns blood.

Bronwyn: "OMG a THAWN? Did you Say Thawn? AAHHHH!!"

TarkXT wrote:

Hrm. I can see why there might have been objections. I'll hold off on any opinions until it actually becomes somethign to worry about. As it is I don't expect Telias (neither does he for that matter) to get anything just for joining the group.

Also, AP's aren't quite precise in regards to the amount of cash to be had. The kingdom building rules alone can utterly annihilate this assumption. Other AP's are actually pretty stingy with the money available. And sometimes a good creative player can get beyond them. For example has anyone considered skinning any animals killed and keeping the hides? My impression of Oleg is that he does a lot of trading with hunters and trappers most of whom would bring him pelts for trade. Just something to think on.

I actually read an analysis of the kingmaker AP for WBL. It was with regards to allowing players to craft magic items. The final verdict was that the AP was uncanny in its accuracy. Not so sure about the conversion though. Maybe AK can elaborate if he stops by.

Plus Lukan aint no bleedin' heart so he isn't about to just give something away. =P

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

I'd prefer not to gift items to players. The AP has been set up to the precise WBL. When we lose players, the wealth that player has gained should be provided the new player by the DM. He can easily purchase it from the party at 50% value with that wealth level.

Can we send Cambyl to Restov to sell all of our gear that we don't want? =)

EDIT: I am calculating we are at 785 gold Wealth (per person) right now without selling what we have in the group inventory. This can't be right... let me go back and double check. Ok, double checked. This isn't right. We just broke 1000 gold. Its hard to be precise without an audit, but I think Bronwyn might have the best estimate - I don't think he has bought anything.

350g from the board quests we just completed. I'll put up the spoils when Oleg has the gold to buy them. If you look under the Loot spoiler in my profile you an get an idea of what we have to sell or divy up.

(Amount Owed) 484-350= 134g

Everyone add 70 gold to your inventory.

Total for everyone else so far is: 420 Gold

Tossing the cold iron hand axe into the pile for the cold iron longsword, increasing my debt by (rounding up) 5g.

More to come ;)

I owe 139g.

Ganit, we should split up the loot we found in the bag in the water. That was 178 gold total. 178/6 = 29 Gold, 6 Silver, 6 Copper. (We'll give the leftover repeating 6 to Oleg =P)

Now I owe 110g

Everyone Else's Updated Gold: 455 Gold, 4 Silver, 6 Copper.

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

Did you want to pick up that masterwork cold iron sword, Jameson? If not, I may take it and return the cold iron hand-axe back to the group.
