I'm all about a combat game, but I'm getting married this weekend and then honeymoon for a couple of weeks. I'll be online when possible, and hopefully with the wedding all done with I'll have more time for playing again.

So if you're okay with ~3 more weeks of a tough schedule from me, I'm still interested. If I don't post within 12 hours or so, GMPC would be much appreciated.

Lessien will happily go shopping with Quintus during downtime, to pick up the components she needs for trying to make alchemist's fire flasks again. When I'm near my computer I'll roll for some alchemy.

My tumor familiar would be better at dragonchess than me...gotta be something wrong there...I suppose it would be pretty funny if I told him that my pet could beat him.

What I normally do is total up the sell prices for everything, and then divide by the number of players. That is the 'virtual' share. With that virtual share money or with real money they had already, players can buy items from the loot for the sell price (generally 50%, the values that are divided into the share, in any case), before the items actually get sold off. When the items are sold, any money spent from the player's share to buy equipment at half price is subtracted from their share of the cash (and any extra they had to put in is divided among the other players shares).

Usually until level 3-4, players don't have enough money to quite pull that off, but after that generally people have plenty of gold to make it work.

For now, we may just want to divide the cash evenly and use as much as we can of what we find, and when we get another couple of levels, we can calculate everyone's wealth values and divide a higher level loot stash unevenly if it needs evening out.

I would say approach the pathfinders and see if they are interested in the rings. Once we have given Allustan a chance to do what he wants to do at the Cairn, we can even tell them where we found them.

Can I make a craft(alchemy) roll to try to ID the material of the pedestal? If so, 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10. (Well, that probably won't help in any case)

As another possibility, would those injectables be treatable as poisons I could apply to weapons using alchemist poison?

(To clarify, I didn't mean 'sell everything I don't want', I just meant at this point sell everything nobody wants, even if it puts us on people's radar. :)

I can definitely use the goggles. The amulet interests me but I think I have the highest AC already (at least for a half hour at a time), so Ro or Kelkzar would probably get much better use out of it, at least until Ro gets barkskin (assuming she's taking the Qing'gong path, I don't know the details of her build).

Can alchemists use wands if the spell is on the alchemist list? I'm working on UMD in any case, but it would be nice to know some wands will just work :)

I'll be sticking with light armor.

I'd say lets go ahead and sell everything else at this point, get some spending money. I want to do some craft(alchemy) in the upcoming downtime and need to buy components. :) While I get sneak attack dice instead of bombs, I still get throw anything, and I still get to add my int mod to splash damage, so I really want some alchemists fire for dealing with swarms.

Curse alchemists lack of level 0 spells. :) I've got spellcraft and a racial bonus to ID items, but no detect magic. Guess I need to learn identify.

Much to her companions horror, she fills a flask with the sludge, and drinks it, after tentatively taking a sip. "As I surmised...this is a potent nutrient mass. The amount still in the basin would easily last one person 2 weeks, completely sustaining their needs. Amazing. And it certainly tastes better than it looks..."

I generally let my players move themselves, and just check the map history if I need to verify move distances, etc. All the other work you've put into that looks like an awful lot of work, but pretty awesome.
