Lemma continues to wait with a casual air, leaving the shop when the others do. She says nothing while inside.
Lemma enters but stays back from the conversation, looking around the place while listening on what the proprietor and her friends say.
Lemma is inclined to wait for news from the Fuschi sisters before saying anything about The Raven's plan. However she does have one question. "'Dread'? Isn't that absurdly on the nose? Sort of like a librarian named Shush Introvert?" Mostly she lets her mind wonder, feeling confident The Raven will eagerly tell them all about his plan at least two more times before they're ready to use it. One thing pops into her head, probably due to the earlier conversation about the Grey Spiders. "Want to hear the wildest conspiracy theory I've ever heard? Aroden didn't die. He got sick of his shtick long before he was gone, spent that time setting up the perfect exit for himself. Norgorber wasn't actually raised to godhood by the Starstone. Norgorber is Aroden." Lemma chuckles. "I like it so much I've decided to believe it."
When she's back, Lemma reports what she's learned. "Word is Barzillai Thrune has taken some interest in us. He's started an investigation into the Silver Ravens on the down low. The person given the job was described as 'hired' so it's not one of his agents. They're a freelancer." "We should be extra careful to watch our flanks and backs. I'm trying to get a name or description, but until we have more information, we have to assume it could be just about anyone, especially anyone we keep noticing in the vicinity." "As for the Grey Spiders, I'm surprised they even named themselves in the first place. It seems attention seeking by No-Face's standards. But yeah, I'd imagine they'd want to be thought of as long extinct almost as a point of pride."
Lemma arches an eyebrow, her curiosity peaked but also a little alarmed. She places her hands on either side of Alys's head to cup it and kisses her on the forehead. "This is a good thing to know. It might save lives. I will check in again soon. If a name or description for this person should be discovered, I need to know of it. May your midnights be inspired"
Lemma tries Redroof for information since she can move freely among her own there.
Lemma can use the Cause Fear and Remove Fear scrolls. But they're not really great spells and I think we need the money more. When we're done with the forger Lemma will devote her time to running the Fuschi Sisters recon missions.
Lemma tilts her head slightly, as if she's considering what Ruba has said. When she speaks afterward, her tone is gentle and conciliatory. "Of course, we understand. Things now aren't like they used to be. Everyone needs to be a little more careful now. In my experience payment up front is one of the best assurances of sincerity. We are asking for an ongoing arrangement after all, not a simple one and done job." "A retainer is in order, to show we do indeed mean to return with further work for you as our theatrical series continues." Lemma takes a small bag form her belt pouch and counts out 20 gold coins, which she stacks in front of Ruba. "Will this do to reassure you?"
"We're all thespians" Lemma interjects. "I play villains." Lemma smiles broadly at Ruba Fenquay.
Lemma takes a place in the carriage that keeps her away from any windows. Better for Jessi since such a vehicle tends to attract attention, and the young woman is probably better off not being known for mingling with tieflings.
"We could try Ruba Fenquay with a bogus job first, something minor that we don't need, to see if she'll do the work. If she does and the quality is good, we go back to her afterward for the real job. If she rats us out or refuses, we haven't given away anything about what we really want. If her quality doesn't cut it, we know before it matters."
Lemma makes her way to the Wasp's Nest and briefs the Fushi Sisters on what's needed, telling them to start with the transport of the dog housed prisoner back, and continuing through the evening and night so they gain an idea of the prison's routine.
"Some food would be good. Then I'll go talk to the sisters about what we need so they can get started."
"Weeell, forgery isn't actually within the law last I heard..." Not that Lemma seems to really be concerned.

"Alright, we have some ideas to work toward and we also have some ideas about what we'll need to know. If the sisters are good for this sort of thing, shall we get them busy with it now?"
Lemma shrugs slightly at Setrona's question. "It's hard to say before we've looked into things at all. First we need to watch the prisoner transfer from the square to the Holding House. We also need to stake out the Holding House to get some feel for the routine there. It would also be good if we could find someone who can tell us about the place's interior." "What comes after that depends on what we find out."
"Um... he demanded evidence we are not thugs just in this for the street fighting, so an example of us being subtle and willing to work within the law when possible." Lemma continues, taking on a more sarcastic tone. "He also wants to regularly inspect our fingernails to ensure they are well groomed, proof of nutritious, balanced diets, and a short essay from each of us on why rules build character." "Those last three things were me joking. But I'd not be surprised if they crossed his mind."

Lemma rolls her eyes. "Have you ever actually removed a manhole cover with people nearby, much less right at the manhole? Or even removed a manhole cover at all?"
Lemma thinks for a couple of minutes before saying anything. She's not fully convinced yet a rescue of the man while he's being moved is the best idea, but there are some things about it to like. "First we do need to know for sure that he would be traveling under lighter guard. That's only a guess right now. If it is true, rescuing him alone first could make things easier or harder afterward. I'm not sure which is more likely. "It could be harder if the rescue is seen as a plot to help the Order of the Torrent members, not a hard connection to make with a little thought. Guards could be strengthened and everyone might be more alert, anticipating an attempt to free the rest of them." "On the other hand, if we rescue the single one, he might be able to tell us details about where they are held that makes the second jailbreak easier."
"We have, yes", Lemma replies. "I don't think he's excited about it, but he has agreed to cooperate with us when certain conditions are met. The biggest condition is finding a way to free the members of his order who are imprisoned." "That's why the man in the doghoused man in the square is so interesting to us. He's one of them. We'll have to get him out of there somehow."
Lemma keeps her eyes peeled for anyone who might pick up on what Jessi is doing, guards or crowd.
"If he's Order of the Torrent, like that old woman suggested, we'll have to get him out if we want the deal with Sabinus to go through."
"Another look after curfew might show us something different. But as it stands it's too well guarded."
Definitely not.
"Let's take a look then. But I'm not feeling suicidal."
"We'll figure something out." Lemma sounds confident.
The conversation's technicalities leave Lemma far behind.
Right out of the gate Sabinus comes across like she expected. She thinks he's real drag. But, just he he needs them, they also could use more allies. The big contribution she thinks Sabinus can make is that he thinks like the opposition. Given their similar roots in education, training, and outlook on things, he might be able to better predict what moves Thrune will make, both strategically and tactically. "Understandable, nobody should abandon their people. As for the second part, what do you have in mind?"
Lemma backs up Jessi's plea. "We aren't looking for a fight or a captive. Depending on what you need, we can be allies or help keep you hidden and help you escape the city. We've taken others in already. We are the Silver Ravens and most of those who we have helped have joined us. But we also protect others who have not taken that step."

Lemma, not knowing what kind of patience rope magical construct things have, decides to act quickly. She takes the route that keeps her farthest from what she figures is the 'guardian' to the statue and puffs out a very obvious breath onto the sailor's lips.
Lemma does the same as Nyxra.
"What you mean is you're not really into manners, consideration, or common sense. They told us what we needed to know and gave us access to who we're looking for. They warned us of a guardian and what's needed to avoid it." That is why I act now, while a 'no' to him is still possible." Lemma remains non-specific as she speaks. While she mostly means what she says in relation to the Cult of Nocticula, if that is left out she believes the seers will assume she means tieflings, which will leave the cult protected.

"I doubt I'm the face of the rebellion we want in this case, guy's still a Hellknight at the end of the day. Go ahead Jessibel."
Lemma agrees to Setrona's condition of leaving the shrine tenders in peace.
Just a busy holiday weekend for me.
"I know the place" Lemma mentions. "It's old, not so well known anymore. That's what makes it a good place to lay low."
Lemma gives Setrona a vague affirmative answer. "Oh, I'd be surprised if I haven't been by here before, but not in the recent past. This part of town isn't very friendly if you're my kind."
"I'm Lemma." The tiefling thrusts out her hand to offer for a handshake.
Lemma, answers in a way that she hopes will explain their presence without alarming the woman. "We haven't come for food or drink Ma'am. My friend here would like to ask for your help as we are trying to locate someone you know. Someone who may be in need of help."
Lemma keeps an eye on things, from a distance and with her exit plan in place.
...eating a different kind of salad for every meal including breakfast....That sounds absolutely horrifying! I'm throwing the net fairly wide in what I'm calling salads. Most of them weren't green leafy salads. I was doing various chopped salads mostly, lots of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern ones, along with Asian ones like cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, peppers, almonds and crunchy noodles with sesame dressing. Fairly bulky dishes all in all.
Well, a couple of things about where Lemma is at. She may be enthusiastic about the Silver Raven's goals, but she's new and hasn't built any personal bonds with anyone yet. While the various members have generally made good impressions, she's seen nothing constructive from The Raven. He's crept around and spied on her, and is currently pulling the arsonist stunt. So no, she really doesn't care what consequences are visited upon his actions. Lemma will not be your leader, that's not in her. She's been an outsider all her life, and has had to make her own way. She will cooperate with you all, otherwise she wouldn't have severed herself from the Cult of Nocticula (which was done to protect them) in order to take action. However Lemma is chaotic first and foremost as an individualist, not as an agent of random chaos. Do what you will, but the consequences are yours to bear as well. Don't come crying to her if you skin your knee or lose your head. She's not gentle and she doesn't suffer fools. Most likely pal so far: Nyxra.
Hopefully Sarah's doing alright and is on the mend. :( As a player I don't really care one way or another about the fire bombing. I fully intend to abandon The Raven to whatever extent is necessary to get away without being noticed to be associated with him, and have posted so already. I think Lemma sees it as juvenile and pointless. Kicking the hornet's nest in a way that only benefits whoever sells them their lumber will probably make things harder since it will be quite public and therefore require some reaction from the dottari. It probably won't aim them at us, but the extra patrols, checkpoints and searches, etc. will make moving around harder and eyes will be peeled for a while. Lemma also fails to understand why anyone puts up with him since he obviously can't be trusted to do something as simple as walk across the city to ask some questions without acting in ways the are self-destructive. But hey, she just showed up so it isn't her parade to lead; and she doesn't care one whit whether The Raven lives or dies.
