My goal is to have a Warpriest that fights well, heals and buffs "well-enough" and has some actual RP skills, since that matters in PFS and people look to a "Cleric" to be able to lead. When I say heals and buff "well-enough" I mean he can do the job if a dedicated Cleric or Bard isn't around, but the build won't focus on it. Thus far (Level 3) I've been essentially using CLW/Bless/Guidance and then hitting things hard. Here is my problem, I feel like I'd be better off with a Paladin. So I'm trying to find a way to make this character more than just a thuggish, weaker, paladin. I chose Greatsword because Sacred Weapon only seems useful if you go with a poor weapon (dagger spec?) or sword and board through high-levels (Scimitar and shield). Even then it is horribly limited to 1 round/level [/end rant] Level 12 plan so far: M'Doch
I really need help with feats! I get 4 bonus fighter feats + 6 regular Alt Racial Traits City-Raised, Sacred Tatoo

I'll be playing a Slayer for my first character in Iron Gods. Concept:

This is where I run out of plan. I haven't figured out what weapon to use or really thought through to further levels. Since this guy will be presumably out front looking for traps, I'd like to maximize survivability and then also contribute to combat. So while a Two-Hander and Power Attack is the obvious choice for damage, especially against constructs, I'm not sure if it is the way to go.
Hello, My order from Friday is pending and showing as a pickup from GenCon item. While I'm not actually in that big a hurry for most of the physical goods (dice, Ranzak Mat) I would like to be able to download the PDF from my subscription. I'd also like to have the Pathfinder Beginner Box Heroes Miniatures Set by mid-September as they will likely be props for when I demo the PACG. Thanks!
So, in my limited experience with PFS, I've yet to see a trap disarmed. I've been thinking about an Urban Ranger or Archaeologist Bard but realized that maybe the stuff I'd give up isn't worth it for just the ability to deal with traps. Honestly, it seems like parties just rely on Cure Wands instead. Does this change after level 3?
I'm trying to work out a build for a character that I can use when I realize I'm going to be in a party that needs to be saved from itself. I'm saying this because half my (limited number of) games so far have been with children or newer players, and one or two of us had to save the party from a TPK several times. My first though was a cleric, but I learned that healing a bad team just makes you lose slower. So the theme for this character is;
I'm not actually basing the character on Batman, so I don't want to try and break down the "classes" that Batman would have. However, there is a LOT I liked about the idea of a Dark Knight of Goodness. My original thought was a Tiefling Paladin (using the race with +2 Cha) with maybe the first level in rogue for the trap skills, but then it became just a mess. I also might end up human due to time constraints... Then, thematically I was maybe thinking Inquisitor or Magus for general utility/badassery. All I know is I don't want a one-trick pony, but rather the ability to protect the group without being a healbot. Overthinking a lot, so I've come to the community for help with focus :)
I seem to be doing most of my playing at Cons or at stores these days. Lugging 5+ books is getting tedious. I've been considering going the paperless route. Either a small laptop or a tablet (like the Samsung Galaxy Note 12) for reading PDFs and storing my character sheets. I've seen some folks use a tablet, but they seem to be just using it to browse the PRD. Then I see 17" laptops in their unwieldy glory. How many folks have found a well-tuned setup and does anyone have any tips?
I'm not asking this to be negative, but it is an honest question... Is the next campaign going to have significantly fewer mistakes than Rise of the Runelords? The reason I ask is that I plan on joining guild play, starting at GenCon. My one hesitation is that I really don't want to deal with having to worry about cards needing updates. For example, the BGG errata drop-ins for sleeved cards has (I think) 374 entries counting repeats like Blessing of the Gods. At that scale, I'm actually just ignoring errata and playing cards as written since this game has enough prep work already. However, in guild play, it will just be frustrating, especially if not everyone is up-to-date.
Hello, I sent an email to customer service (Fri, 18 Feb 2005 21:47:10 -0800 (PST)) according to yahoo. I am looking at the sent mail now and can confirm I spelled the email address correctly and have also received no bounce notifications. I have yet to receive a response from customer service, or for that matter, a single issue of my subscription to Dragon. According to my account information I have 9 issues left in my subscription. I was going to subscribe to Dungeon, however am loathe to toss any more money out a virtual window. I was originally prepared to be patient since this is a new subscription. However, at this point it appears I'm losing money as well as missing issues. I can confirm that the mailing address on my account is correct because I have received back issues from Paizo to the same address already. In fact, the subscription was ordered at the same time as the back issues. Thank you for your time |
