Good to see you about, and sorry to hear of your trials, but also noting that you are working on getting through them.

Several of us have been dealing with major life changes, which is partially why I think this thread has stalled. Telling a story so complex takes time and energy, and when that is being sapped away, there's nothing left. It's extra hard online when it involves maneuvering between getting the story out and making several very different people happy.

But there's still a story to tell burning in Dan's head. When he is able, he'll be back to tell it.

Ahem...I started one a LONG time ago but got out of the habit. It's got a bunch of information. But it also has a ton of meta gaming material.

But I am familiar with wikia coding. Just saying...

It's at least an interesting slice of the world for the purpose of people-watching. With good coffee and interesting things that don't necessarily demand interaction, it might be a good sell.

That cafe looks nice...building my arsenal for pitching this idea.

Thanks for this - this is helpful! I kind of want to do it to introduce Mal to our culture - not sure how the quasi-gamer husband feels though. I need to be generally cognizant of where it falls with Pennsic too. That month will eat up all of our money.

Man, I would LOVE to play in other games if I had the time, or an easy way to build walls around what information is known where. I bow to your superior ability in that area. I could possibly play additional online games, but they would have to be significantly different areas of the world/characters from Mina. Tanith could do well online, but Stormfare is just...too close to home.

From the original game:

Minaethiel Ellethwen, Tuathan Elf Sorceror/Druid/Ranger)
Nurianna, Human Druid of Saranrae
Judith, Human Paladin (Nurianna's cohort)
Bardas Balsamon, Human monk
Marcus, Half-Storm Giant Desnan cavalier/paladin
--there was another guy who played with us for a very short while, a dwarf. Can't recall his name.

Other Random characters:

Tanith Ser'Leri Del Covas, Human Spy/Master Spy

Trying to remember the other characters in that one-shot group, besides Corrin Vask, of course. Tassy? And the dwarf.

Yeah, perhaps someday it would be good to see DRA pull the the stories together, but for now I prefer keeping them quite separate with occasional forays into each others' stories.

I don't know how many times I've had to really mentally contemplate whether Mina actually knows something, or if its something Azami heard. I like to keep those at a minimum. And noooo taping of live games. Too much effort, too much meta-gaming possibility, and otherwise too much of my personal life in view for anyone with the video. I'm just happy that, with an infant, I'm still able to play. :)

Oh, thank you for describing how combat appears to work--I was wondering the same thing. Seems all three of us have similar preference for narrative and storytelling.

I'm interested in PbP too -- I've done tabletop for years, LARP, RP with Echo Bazaar in twitter and wordpress blogs (basically PBP) but without any rolls or GM. Right now I'm taking a look at several threads that are running to get a sense of how this messageboard works, but I'd be interested in a Pathfinder-rules based PBP. (I'm not terribly familiar with the Pathfinder world, since I play in homebrew worlds with Pathfinder rules and gods.)

I'm a player that is focused on character, doesn't mind conflict or hard choices, and pays attention to detail and background. I love a good story, and I'm not afraid to get into the thick of it.
