I'm not sure if I should or not.

The Indescribable: You're thinking of a Hallow, I believe.

Just popping in to say hi, sorry for disappearing, and I like Mage, Geist, and Innocents a lot(especially combing Innocents and Mage).

Sovereign Court

Alaina watched, heart broken, as no took the elevator up and left her behind. How could she have done that? They were friends! They'd looked after each other! Letting anger take over for now since it was the emotion that hurt the lest, she turned and ran off into the mall and quickly became lost looking for this supposed spirit train.

Sovereign Court

Hope: 0 Magic: 0 Trauma: 0 Fate: 0

Wel, going to get back into this game tomorrow, since there's been no response from Jo.

Sovereign Court

Hope: 0 Magic: 0 Trauma: 0 Fate: 0

I do believe Jo is not playing anymore.

Sovereign Court

Hope: 0 Magic: 0 Trauma: 0 Fate: 0

You can say that, but in Shadowrun: Hong Kong my decker has a grenade launcher that's pretty dang effective.

Sovereign Court

Hope: 0 Magic: 0 Trauma: 0 Fate: 0

Alaina immediately steps away from the elevator, gesturing for Jo to do the same. This was all too strange and too dangerous seeming to her, and she knew it had to be worse for Jo. What claustrophobic person wanted to stay in an elevator, let alone one that was shaking?

Sovereign Court

1 person marked this as a favorite.

*waves dry erase board and marker around*

Sovereign Court

Hope: 0 Magic: 0 Trauma: 0 Fate: 0

"Do we go?" She writes, asking Jo by showing her the board. Alain wipes it clean then writes again, quickly. "The ghost lift might not stay here while we do!"

Sovereign Court

Hope: 0 Magic: 0 Trauma: 0 Fate: 0

I went and read the last thing I could find and it didn't seem like it did.

Sovereign Court

Hope: 0 Magic: 0 Trauma: 0 Fate: 0

In the Lift

Alaina watches the lift operator carefully, wary of some sort of ghostly trick. That's what they did after all, right? Trick living people? Maybe that was just in old movies...

Sovereign Court

Hope: 0 Magic: 0 Trauma: 0 Fate: 0

The mute is getting left behind XD

It's mostly my fault though. I'm not on as much as I could be.

Alaina had been happy to see her friend again, but then Jo holds up the marker. Alaina looks down at her necklace and see the cap hanging there, empty, and hugs Jo tightly. It would've been ages before shed managed to snag another dry erase!

"I met shoemaking elves and fell through a void that hadn't been there when I went in the shop!" She writes, mshowing Jonbefore looking at the new person and moving a little behind her friend.

Sovereign Court

Hope: 0 Magic: 0 Trauma: 0 Fate: 0

Alaina lets out a groan, a horrid, mangled sound, and pushing herself up and looks around. When she sees Jo a mix of relief and worry appears on her face, and she shakes the girl a little to make sure she's ok.

Sovereign Court

Hope: 0 Magic: 0 Trauma: 0 Fate: 0

Perfecto~

Sovereign Court

Hope: 0 Magic: 0 Trauma: 0 Fate: 0

Given the choices of trying to turn and grab hold of the store and hang on or diving into the darkness, Alaina grabs the scissors(why did they seem important? She wasn't sure) and tries to keep running.

Sovereign Court

Hope: 0 Magic: 0 Trauma: 0 Fate: 0

Amazing work, that page. Why Virgo for Alaina? Marker is pretty perfect, too.

Sovereign Court

Hope: 0 Magic: 0 Trauma: 0 Fate: 0

Yeah.

Sovereign Court

Hope: 0 Magic: 0 Trauma: 0 Fate: 0

Smiling her thanks, Alaina waves goodbye and heads back out the door, hoping to find Jo soon and hoping she wasn't getting too scared all alone inside of this place.

Sovereign Court

Hope: 0 Magic: 0 Trauma: 0 Fate: 0

Heart and Sole.

The raven-haired youth freezes and looks at all the little fey like this is insane. Of course, it is, since elves aren't real(right?) and they definitely(maybe) didn't make shoes. Still, the look for Jo had to continue, so Alaina shook of the shock and wrote a description of Jo on the dry erase board before showing the nearest elf.

Sovereign Court

Hope: 0 Magic: 0 Trauma: 0 Fate: 0

Finally got a post up, and there's descriptions in Alaina's profile.

She agreed eagerly, nodding and pulling out her stolen dry erase board and writing quickly, drawing a raven to show she'd seen it too. "I think I know where we can get a heater, but I like being out of the wind the most!"

Then the world changed and Alaina didn't know what to do except run and run until she couldn't anymore. Seeing the strange face on the sign, smiling at her, she felt this weird desire to go in and explore. Never knew what could be in a place. Maybe Jo was there!

Sorry for not posting yet, been busy and not feeling as well as I should be. I blame the unseasonal weather.

Sovereign Court

Hope: 0 Magic: 0 Trauma: 0 Fate: 0

Alaina(no last name given) has no real preference for her team color, but knows Joanna Veil from their time on the streets. I'll be expanding her original theme, music, into sound in general. She just likes signing the most. ^^

Sovereign Court

That too, I guess.

Sovereign Court

I'm gonna splash cold water on Ranma just to see what happens. :p

Sovereign Court

I got a bit of a dark story, since I rolled a bit for my character and saw another that worked. A hint of why is in this profile.

Azten here, showing the Alias for my Magical Girl.

'Quite,' Lady Rebecca nods in response then, seeing Lady Alaina arrive adds, gesturing towards where Garrett is being led from the tilting field by Redwyrm squires, 'Alaina! Is there anything you can do for poor Sir Garrett? They've revived him, but as you can see, he still seems to be staggering from the blow Sir Hugh felled him with... and he's due in the sword ring with Lord Geoffrey! After the mace and the lance, I'm sure the sword will favour Sir Garrett - you've seen how he is with that family blade of his...'

"I could try, but I'm down to my healer's kit at the moment. How are you feeling?" Alaina asks.

Alaina goes off to search for Rebbecca, planning on making sure she is okay no matter how much she protests.

"I need to go back too my room and collect my kit. I'm out of magic for today and I need it in case of serious injuries." Alaina replies as Aydan suggests returning to the fields.

Alaina calls on the last bit of curative magic she has for today, letting the white fire heal the man's wounds.

Cure Light Wounds:1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

"I'm not sure if that will wake him, but it's the best I can do right now."

"A small room in the castle may be better than a tree. There would be less room for him to call on otherworldly allies to aid in his escape. After I revive him I shall be out of all but my weakest spells until I have slept." Lady Alaina replies.

"Come find me when you've got a broken bone. I'll be sure to set it without magic." Alaina says with a faint grin.

Sovereign Court

Hope: 0 Magic: 0 Trauma: 0 Fate: 0

Indeed I did.

"Though I'm sure it's far better than he deserves," Alaina says as she dismounts her horse nearby, "I can't let him escape justice." Kneeling down next to the man, Alaina lays a hand on him. Almost immediately the man is no longer in danger of dying.

Sovereign Court

Hope: 0 Magic: 0 Trauma: 0 Fate: 0

Torn between staying with Rebecca and going to make sure no one dies, Alaina eventually goes to get a horse and follow the men, glad she decided to wear leggings instead of a dress(it would have been a disaster to get blood on one after all).

"Lady Alaina, can you do anything for them, or should we carry them to the nearest temple, I will carry Aydan if need be..."

"Yes, but much of the fire is smoldering now. Nevertheless, I shall try." Alaina says as she hurries over. She instructs Garret to move then as close as he can without aggravating their wounds, and then calls on her white fire to burn away the injuries.

Channel Energy:1d6 ⇒ 3
Only one Channel left now, might as well try to get everyone back on their feet with it.

Alaina seems a little less vigorous now that her channeling fire is spent, but the wounds are mostly gone and no one is in danger of dying...

"There are times when explanations are a danger Mi'lady. But if you truly wish to act the stubborn mule, I believe I heard talk of treason or worse. Especially if you were female."

'What happened?' she asks in a hoarse whisper...

"What happened is that you ignored our warnings and came very close to avoiding the rest of the tournament. I would think after what happened last night you would have stopped taking risks like this. You should have trusted Beatrix and I when we said we had to leave and get your father!" Alaina says sternly. "I will be sure to tell him you need time to recover and that he might want to consider letting you miss the rest of the tournament. You have been through a lot." She says as she examines the bruises gently, prodding around the edges to test their sensitivity.

"Quickly then, bring Aydan over here! I'll get everyone!" Once all the injured are gathered around, ghostly white fire dances from Alaina's hands and plays across their wounds, leaving a soothing heat in their wake. She does this one more time to be sure no one is in life threatening danger.

Sorry, been rather busy.

"Aydan!" Alaina gasps as she watches him fly away from the knight. She turns on the knight with a vengeance as she swings at him.

Light Mace:1d20 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7
Damage:1d6 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3

Her mace might as well be grains of sand for all the damage she's doing, her weapon bouncing off of the black armor with a jarring clang...

'Know about what?' demands Lady Rebecca, 'you're treating me like a child! Just tell me...' she falls silent as the tent flap is flung open and the balck knight emerges. Still clad in blackened plate and chain armour, helm firmly in place (and concealing his identity), the towering figure steps forwards, glances between the three Ladies, and places his fists on his hips,

'What do you want?' he demands, his deep voice carrying a metallic ring on the edge of its tone...

"We just came to see the black knight. I daresay you are more impressive up close." Alaina says. "But alas, we do not have much time to spare and we must return to the tournament. I'll be watching to see if your strength can endure the rest of the day. Good day to you, Sir Knight."

"Yes I did." Alaina whispers. "It seems we had out first sign of trouble before we ever saw the knight. Which may be a good thing." Her hand goes to her new mace at her side as she glances back at the tent.

"We need to leave before they realize we are here."

'Mayhap we should go and see what this "Black Knight" is all about, yes? After all, swooning at the competitors seems to be our expected duty...'
Beatrix gives a noncommittal shrug. She is not enthusiastic about the possibility of chatting up heavily armed men of questionable provenance, but knows that once Rebecca gets an idea she will not be dissuaded.

"As a Lady in Waiting, I discourage such activity, since it is potentially dangerous. But.." She pauses and gives Beatrix an apologetic smile. "I wouldn't mind knowing more about this 'Black Knight' myself. At the first sign of trouble though, you must promise to run, Lady Rebbecca. No arguments!"

"Well, I was told by my late mother that it started during wars long ago. A lady would give a token to the soldier she loved, and tell him it was very important and that we needed to return it when he came back. The reason was actually very clever. If the soldier knew he had to return something important to his loved one, he would fight that much harder to stay alive so he could do so." She smiles as she looks out at the current duel. "Now we do it for luck and to make our affections known."
