I would argue that already playing makes that an automatic veto; let's not consider Hell's Rebels.

Given Niobe's reticence over a bad experience with War for the Crown, should we do Curse of the Crimson Throne then? That was a close second for me, anyway.

With pursuit being the order of the moment and nobody in front of him to strike, Kung rage begins making him weary. His pegleg falters in its rhythm as he stumbles slightly, regaining his normal demeanor. He grabs a potion from his bag then follows Marnir, eager to find the former Hurricane King and end his reign forever.

Dropping out of rage; only 9 rounds left on the day! It's been a while since that number's been in single digits. Grabbing a potion of lesser restoration to end the fatigue if he needs to go into rage sooner than 1 minute.

As he's been trying all along to get to the lamia, Kung pivots that way but sees her encased in ice. Continuing his pivot, Kung ends up turning a full circle before dashing off towards their main foe, Bonefist. Skirting around the pirate holding his hands unthreateningly in the air, he wheels around the building to try to come up to the ship, encountering a pair of pirates guarding the gangplank.

Kung is about to dash off to engage more of the enemy but--even through his rage--his ears are always tuned to the sound of his Captain's voice, even if it takes a beat or two for those words to register. "Invisible lion woman casting spells..." wait, Kung have solution for that! Searching his brain for the command word, he finally finds it in his memory and blurts it out; the lamia pops into view suddenly. He swivels the beast of a weapon towards the Filthy Lucre and--with a upraised eyebrow seeking confirmation--launches a blast in the direction of their foe's only transportation!

Assuming the blast at Kung was the first of the day, we only got two more of the sirocco shots as it's a 3/day function. But there should be no load time for those, as the description says that command word causes them to instantly appear.

That's kind of a different case, though. If you pop a summon up behind the enemy as Kung is advancing, it gives Kung a flank.

That last situation we dropped the summon in the water where it was alone against some kind of demon, which put its full force against the summon, obliterating it. The demon didn't have Kung or Marnir on it's other flank to deal with at the same time.

More bodies on the ground is always useful! Kung has sneak attack via his few rogue levels, but he never gets to use it; it's rare that Marnir and I are positioned well for that. Even if they die in 1 round, any summon provides a flank!

Since his Captain... King now, remember. Marnir King now. Since his King isn't commanding him into the water to deal with the threat, Kung lets his rage die away; with it, the tapping on the wooden planks ceases as well. He follows the others back into the seahold, and readies himself to bash a door or bust windows, whichever Marnir commands.

I see a single door out of H1 (to the east), or the two windows in H3, as our choices here.

Kung delays to receive Marnir's spell before he starts trying to worry a hole in the boards of this small dock with his pegleg. He grips his sword tightly, waiting to strike the dragon as soon as it arrives.

I'd love to play Hell's Rebels; I had a bard that I built for that years ago that I was pretty excited about, but the game fizzled before the end of the opening encounter. I would also be up for War for the Crown.

The only games I'd want to pass on are Reign of Winter (currently playing), Iron Gods (played into the 2nd book, so not excited about repeating things), Ruins of Azlant (no more water!), and Shattered Star/Return of the Runelords (in my dreams I play these in sequence starting with Rise of the Runelords, and you already said that one is out).

I would be really excited to play Strange Aeons, too.
