Male Half-Orc Monk 1

Kuch examines his wounds while listening to the musings of the others.
"All of this confuses me. Certainly now that the undead are destroyed Wennel's spirit is finally at rest. I'm just glad we came in time to keep you safe."

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

"No worries, just keep distracting it!", says Kuch as he continues pummeling the undead, hoping to find a way past its defenses.

Through gritted teeth Kuch persists attacking the loathsome undead.

Yeah my numbers include Inspire Courage.

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

Oof, I'm not grappled anymore, right? Thanks guys!

The cold unyielding grip of the undead hands was not something Kuch was used to - no painful grips or chokeholds were going to work on the dead people! Thankfully, the combined efforts of his fellow Pathfinders destroyed the troublesome zombie, and the instant Kuch was free from grapple he seized the moment and unleashed a devastating series of blows!

Exits Dragon Stance as a free action, Flurry and two Strikes, Zombie first and then Skeleton when/if it goes down.

Not sure if that half-ruined table has any effect on the terrain so I'll just go around it
Kuch did not waste time thinking about the nature of the undead - he was never one for the books. The skeleton's armor and helm provided plenty of a target for his heels so he jumped right into the fray!

Stride, Dragon Stance, Flurry

Oooh, nice! Now, I'm not sure what exactly this boon is but I'm happy to get it anyway :D Address in PM.

Kuch leans closer and tries to discern the means of bypassing the sinkhole. Survival: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13

Kuch produces a roll of rope and some pitons out of his bag, and puts them on the ground. "Looks like we go that way. If anyone needs help you're welcome to use this. I'll go first."

Kuch will also assist with Medicine:

Upon discovering the weapon he will also attempt to investigate it:
Medicine: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

"This was not the murder weapon - looks like Justerian tried to defend himself against a hirsute undead creature!"

Finally he attempts to use his anatomical knowledge to inspect Justerian's body:
Medicine: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
But in this stressful situation his concentration is shattered and he is unable to infer any useful information.

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

Even with the divine energy closing some of the wounds, the rest are just too numerous to stop the bleeding in one go... Kuch thanks Baltoros as he applies another suture to his skin.
Medicine DC15: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Flat check to stop bleeding: 1d20 ⇒ 16

"We need more time to heal... perhaps the bats won't pursue us outside!"

Kuch feels life being slowly drained from him. He quickly produces the bandages and herbal remedies he uses to recover from sparring traumas and attempts to stop the bleeding.
Action 1 - Interact to draw healer's tools; Action 2 - Administer First Aid on myself
Medicine DC 15: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

I'm not sure if I can try again?

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

Wait, why is Kuch Hampered 10? WRT the bats I'm afraid he can only punch them, one at a time :(

Barely conscious, he instinctively runs out of the swarm and hops over the worst puddles of the sludge. Action 1 - Stride

"Aye, I feel it too. Did Justerian fall prey to a wild animal inside his own house?"
Kuch will follow diagonally behind Baltoros, sniffing the air and ready to leap out from behind the shielded cleric if a threat appears.

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

I'll pretend I didn't see the area labels on the map
Kuch will carefully proceed along the corridor and start opening the doors to his right, starting with the nearest one, ready to pounce at any serial killers hiding beyond.

Perception +3 if you need it for the secret rolls

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

Having received valuable intel from the "B" team, Kuch follows Agent Midnight up the wall.
Athletics: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 5 + 2 = 23
"A hundred pull-ups per day prepared me." he adds, towering next to Midnight.

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

"Has he given any particular reason why he wouldn't abandon that place? Have you been there yourself, what's it like?"

As Kuch initially offered the money, he will hand over his pouch to Balistar in compensation.

"We were actually investigating the recent string of murders around town, to which one of our agents also fell prey. Has anyone besides the rats been causing trouble in the district lately?"

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

Kuch is decidedly terrible at social encounters, but I guess money talks for him
Kuch produces a badge embossed with the Glyph of the Open Road.
"We're Pathfinders, you see. And the Society has given us resources to make your cooperation worthwile."
He puts the badge back and instead holds up the purse with the money received from the Venture-Captain, shaking it so that the coins inside clink, but not giving it to the woman yet.

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

Kuch spends the first day off cleaning himself and ordering a new kimono to replace the smelly and burnt one. He then trains intensely at his dojo, paying special attention to the moves designed to evade projectiles and grapple spellcasters.
After receiving the note he arrives at the Puddles district with mixed feelings. He is happy to see the familiar faces but disgusted at the notion of being in the muck again, as it were. "After our last adventure we should be made the honorary muckruckers", he says as he scowls at the rat crawling around.

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

As far as I understand we can only choose the invested/activated items which are in the document, and only those spell/focus point casting classes which are in the document. So not strictly limited to pregens but not free either.

I've played Raiders and DDD1 and starting Frozen Oath and DDD2 now.
I want to do Arclord's Envy or DDD parts 3+

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

Kuch takes a deep breath as the positive energy heals his wounds and bruises. He shows a thumbs up to Baltoros as he leaps over to the other side of the sewer, strides back towards the last kobold and throws a couple of quick jabs at him.

Crit2: 1d6 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 1 = 6

30 damage to the poor thing... That kobold is beaten up worse than Conor McGregor

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

Oh then forget the dragon stance, the second attack becomes 11 and I will reroll the damage.
Dmg1: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Dmg2: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

Kuch groans as the missiles burn his flesh. For a moment there, his orc half almost goes out of control, but he centers himself with a deep breath. "Your sorcery will not subdue my spirit!" he shouts as he leaps over the fallen kobold's body, taking the stance of the dragon and covering the distance in a few leaps, aiming to crush the sorcerer' skull with his heel.

Dragon Stance, Stride, Flurry

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

I can update to 1.4 by Monday. I am now playing the Puddles in another game so I can skip them if it's ok with the group.

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

sorry I guess I wasn't clear enough - that was Flurry of Blows that lets me make two strikes as a single action

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

Kuch gives Midnight an impressed look. "Nicely done, Agent!"
He then Leaps across the drainage in front of Baltoros, Strides towards the yellow kobold, and makes two quick Strikes in a flurry of knees and elbows, aiming for the scaled chin.
Atk1: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Dmg1: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Atk2: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
Dmg2: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

As a heads up, I will be traveling next week and unlikely to maintain daily posting until Oct 15th.

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

Kuch will keep behind Midnight, on the lookout for enemies or their tracks. Perception or Survival +3, Low-Light vision

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

"It is just a flesh wound!" says Kuch before accepting the healing from Midnight trying to look at least a little bit reluctant but she can see he is grateful.
Over the next few days he has to skip the dojo while he nurtures his wounds until only a few brown scars remain.
As he descends into the sewers at the Venture-Captain's behest, he permanently scowls but is otherwise stoic about his surroundings.
At the suggestion to ambush the Dragon Sharks he lightens up a bit.
"Traps won't keep me for long from kicking a bunch of kobolds in their scaly mugs! Uh... present company excluded, I mean. I only kick bad kobolds."

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

Newly bolstered by Balistar's song, Kuch forgets the pain as he launches another flurry of kicks.
Atk1, IC: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 1 = 8
Atk2, IC, Backswing: 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 + 1 = 11
Atk3, IC, Backswing: 1d20 - 5 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (15) - 5 + 1 + 1 = 12
Atk4, IC, Backswing: 1d20 - 5 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (18) - 5 + 1 + 1 = 15

Finally I assume it hits the flanked enemy... talk about flurry of misses!

Dmg4, IC: 1d10 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 1 = 9

The thug parries the first few strikes but Kuch keeps up the pressure relentlessly until one of the kicks lands straight into his foe's jawbone!

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

Having received another cut, Kuch Steps to flank with Baltoros and focuses his wrath on the Green thug:

At 12/21 HP. Action 1 - Step, Action 2 - Flurry, Action 3 - Strike

Atk1, IC: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 5 + 1 = 7
Atk2, IC, backswing: 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 + 1 = 5
Atk3, IC, backswing: 1d20 - 5 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (8) - 5 + 1 + 1 = 5

But the blood loss combined with all the spinning makes him dizzy and his kicks fail to connect.

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

@Balistar - I don't think that's right though. The spell says "Make a ranged attack against the target." The FAQ clarifies:

Update 1.3 wrote:

Is my spell roll the attack roll for my spells?

No, your attack roll for spells uses the same proficiency
modifier (as per page 197), but you still use your Strength
or Dexterity modifier to aim it, unlike your spell rolls, which
apply to all other rolls with your spells, such as when casting
black tentacles.

I think the TKP is designed to compete with simple weapons (aka crossbows) which you have to reload, and not martial weapons like a shortbow.

@Midnight - bard changes actually affect both level 1 and 2, since the spell progression says:

Spell Repertoire wrote:
Each time you get a spell slot from Table 3–6, you add a spell to your spell repertoire of the same level.

So in the original rulebook you started with one spell known and got two at 2nd level; in the new rules you start with two and get three at 2nd level.

Kuch proves to be an extremely skilled in marital arts

He isn't actually married yet but already has a black belt in those.

On a more serious note, since the dagger is an agile weapon, shouldn't second strikes come at -4? That would make Kuch take one more hit from the last attack and be at 16/21 HP.

The half-orc barely winces as the rogues' knives cut into his skin. He traces a fresh cut with his finger and licks the blood, then bares his tusks. "Hey barber boys? I think you forgot your shaving foam."

He enters the stance of the dragon and delivers three powerful spinning kicks at his attackers. Action 1 - Dragon Stance, Action 2 - Flurry, Action 3 - Strike. Yellow->Red-Green whoever is left standing when the attack is resolved.

Atk1, Inspire Courage: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 5 + 1 = 9 I assume it's a miss, the next attacks get a +1 circumstance bonus due to backswing trait

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

Kuch doesn't hide from any lowlifes and doesn't need weapons to bring them to heel. Ready!

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

Kuch flanks the youth opposite Balistar, flaring his wide half-orc nostrils and cracking his knuckles. "I can smell your fear, kid. But let me tell you this - it's not your Barber friends you should REALLY be afraid of here."

"I suggest we go to the slums and give a lowlife or two a good shakedown. Or I'll just join whoever expects to make use of a good shakedown."

I only have Intimidate out of that skill list

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

The half-orc nods. "Find some barber-thieves, beat the snot out of them, return with information. Got it, boss."

He stands expressionless for a moment, then raises his hand like a pupil in a classroom. "How do we tell the thief barbers apart from plain old barbers?"

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

Unless it's your personal preference, I don't think the playtest limits how many games you can play at once as long as it's done with different characters.

Male Half-Orc Monk 1

The door opens again, revealing a muscular half-orc in a rough kimono with torn-off sleeves. He is dripping wet from the weather but does not seem to be bothered by it. "I'm Kuch Krisnor, you may just call me Kuch. I was told Pathfinders are needed here." He finds a chair opposite Balistar but does not sit down, instead standing with his feet at shoulder width and his arms crossed, oblivious to the trickles of rainwater slowly forming small puddles at his feet.
