’Do you think it’s safe to pass these doors without checking what might be in the rooms on the other side?” Kristyd asks

Kristyd walks slowly among the dead orcs and hobgoblins, and finally turns to Kiril and says, "Maybe they got news that the troll was dead and they came looking for it's lair, you know, as if there were some sort of treasure they knew about."

This is Bardral Hauthorveen, or Bar Dee, he likes to be called. When I heard you might nbe looking for him I remembered that we had met before, a few month back when I passed through Cipenny with my employer. He was…

Kristyd approaches the huge stone doors cautiously, examines them as best she can, and then places first an eye and then an ear at the small gap between the two doors. She waits holding her breath for a moment, then backs away from the doors and says

I don’t think they are trapped, and I don’t see or hear anything on the other side.

What are we looking at?

Just as Brunnar starts to eyeball the table to decide how well it will burn, Kristyd steps close to Kayne

I don’t think we want to set them on fire in here. Who knows what that will attract, or how much smoke will be generated. With the way the fog lingers in this place when it is up, I’m betting any smoke we create will be a problem for us.

As the three female dwarfs come up behind Kiril, Kristyd looks to the north.

Look she says pointing Another pair of these hug doors, do you think this passageway just keeps going on and on into the mountain?

Kristyd moves up next to Gwen, and points her finger into the map.

Looks to me like, if this room is a sign, then all the goblins that were killed by the last group and left behind are probably now zombies. Sort of what you hear is one of the curses associated with this place. If we go looking in this maze we might just find more of these things wandering around in there. And I doubt there is any treasure or any clues to the missing princess in here either. I say we go back to the main passageway and look for places that were not already explored.

Well, Kristyd says as she readies a crossbow (where did she get that?) What is the plan?

Good to know you name, Sandy, and I hope we can be good friends. We were just talking with Brunar here, we just met him today, and telling him about Kayne, and Flint, and, um, seems there was an elf, or two, and a gnome with them last night when we made camp together on the mountain. Suddenly Kristyd frowns, and bites her lip.

Oh, I'm so sorry, did you lose your other companions to the dangers in the mountain? She asks Kayne.

Hello again, Kayne, and wait, oh well, Kristyd says, as she is about to say hello to Flint, who has run off. She then gives Kiril a good look up and down, and asks Kayne, Where’s you pick up this big, strong, and from the looks of him, islander? You are from the islands of the Vayanguur’s, unless I am mistaken. And this lady, I don’t believe we’ve met either.

Kristyd moves closer to Sandy and holds out her hand, and when Sandy takes it, the dwarven girl pulls Sandy to her feet, and gives her a warm hug. When Kristyd releases Sandy, she reaches for Gwendolyn, and pulls her close so that the three dwarven women are standing shoulder to shoulder.

Did I mention he was often a bit taciturn Kristyd whispers to Gwendolyn, then stands and moves away from the fire.

Greetings, gentlemen, please come sit by the fire and tell us your names so that we might all know one another better.

She then takes a polished metal plate, quite large from a special pack, and begins to arrange a few things to eat upon it

My lord, please, eat, drink, and rest.

She bows deeply and hands the plate to Morgrym

Greetings, sir, I am Kristyd Strakeln the steward of House Rumnaheim, and a retainer of Lord Morgrym Rumnahein, the dwarven warpriest standing right beside you. I know he can be taciturn, at times, and perhaps he did not tell you that his retainers were camped outside of this dungeon on the mountain, waiting for him to return from his mission to rescue the dwarven princess. I see he has met others on his mission. I am here with Hans Klorgenspolk and Deter Wies, we are from the Village of Savounburg, to the east and north of Cipenny, where the estate of the family of Rumnaheim is located. We were just joined here this evening by three travelers, let me introduce them

She points first at a Halfling, This is Flint of Iron, from Nyonunum, a small village west of here and he is looking for information about a group of missing dwarves who do maintenance on towers in these mountains, with him are, She points at the Elf and the Human Miss Jade Feather from the west, originally from Plum Tree Village, and Mister Kayne Aetherax of Alodoa.

She indicates a few small sacks near the fire and then says, [b]It is going to be a cold night, and I fear it will be impossible to safely make our way back to the Black Village in the dark, so if you have a blanket or a bed roll, please come and join us by the fire, I’ll have Deter and Hans Gather more firewood. We have plenty of food to share, thanks to the generosity of our lord. We’ll hear your names, learn who you are and where you’re from, and then Lord Rumnaheim can tell us what the plan will be for tomorrow.

When Kristyd is finished talking she looks past Namfoodle and asks him, [b]Does that owl belong to you friend Gnome? She seems a bit confused and perhaps injured.

Hold, good travelers. We would welcome you to our camp, but have been told that many strange travelers can be met on this mountain. State your names and your intentions, and know that though we are but humble trades people, we are armed and are in the service of a noble who would revenge any harm done to us. My name is Kristyd Strakeln, and these are my friends, Hans Klorgenspolk, and Deter Wiest.
