Oh dear, it is bloviating as well.

With a wave of his hand Korvus also hastes the group in preparation for battle.

If we are going to engage in these mock battles we should probably also test when we dont have the chance in engage in a lot of short term buff spells. Sadly real world battles often dont give you the chance.

Well, thats quite the laundry list of immunities and resistances people.

Do we know what turns off his regen? I am just going to assume good. On the immunity to stun, do you also consider that applies to the dazed condition? I have seen it treated both ways.

As they head towards the training room Korvus layers a further series of magical enchantments around himself, adding to his own long term preparations.

Korvus has been distracted, wandering around the room and looking at the various cabinets and files. He politely declines any offers of food or drink, not wishing to become beholden to powers of Hell.

At the mention of Phaerimm his ears perks up. Oh, them, well if it is them then I have a number of scores to settle. I am afraid that I have been out of the world for a rather long time but I think I still remember how to battle monsters and protect my allies. I possess a very wide range of spells. Cirdan, you may wish to bear that in mind when deciding what magic to prepare. You can expect me to stun or daze enemies with various elemental magic, strip away buffs, impede enemy actions, provide support such as haste, heroism, resist energy, planar adaptation and life bubble. I tend to apply a very wide range of spells on myself as well. I will often be invisible and difficult to detect with magic as I remain mind blanked at all times.

Korvus floats into the room and peers around. So, this is Hell is it. Well, I suppose we cannot have everything. I'm here, there's some sort of horrid monster yes? World shaking, well, probably at least locally difficult. Few things truly threaten the entire planet, Faerun is remarkably resilient.


An elderly man with wrinkled brown skin, glittering blue eyes and a series of ioun stones implanted into his forehead walks unsteadily into the room. He peers around the busy inn and spies the group of "champions". Tottering over he slumps into a seat and props his walking stick against his leg. Why hello everyone, I do hope I am not late. I am afraid that I have become a little forgetful in my old age and nearly missed this little get together. Oh my, I do apologise, I have even forgotten to introduce myself. I am Korvus Kem, formerly of, well, lots of places really. I dont suppose this place serves a decent claret?


I am mostly complete, I have about 60k gold left to spend but I may just keep it for casting Wish.

Background
Korvis was born in the latter days of the ancient Empire of Netheril. He grew to power and gained the attention of the Goddess Mystryl, who made him one of her Chosen. He predicted the coming doom of Netheril and made preparations to survive, placing himself in stasis in a secure dungeon in the mountains of the High Ice. Unfortunately, he failed to predict the extent of the collapse of the Empire and the agents he left to awaken him after the destruction had passed were killed. As such he slept for thousands of years until a group of adventurers recently found his tomb and woke him up. Surprised by the passage of time and the death of his Goddess he has spent the last few years travelling Toril, learning about the current state of affairs and deciding just what his place in the world is now.

Abilities
Korvus is your regular jack of all trades sorcerer with access to a mass of different spells and the ability to acquire any sorcerer list spell on a limited basis. He is a sneaky, shapechanging menace who can pop up almost anywhere, blast people senseless and then vanish as if he was never there.
