You set into a large space, with lesser devils and imps running around with paperwork, going here and there. A large screen is on the wall showing a list of top ten wanted.

Its warm and dry, you can feel heat coming form some of the enraces.

Rosa waves a hand and the postal you just came through closes.

She looks around.

"Not bad for an sub domain of the hells"

A small Imp lands close to Rosa and bows its head.

Korvus floats into the room and peers around. So, this is Hell is it. Well, I suppose we cannot have everything. I'm here, there's some sort of horrid monster yes? World shaking, well, probably at least locally difficult. Few things truly threaten the entire planet, Faerun is remarkably resilient.


Cirdan follows Korvus, floating about a foot off of the floor. "Well, I think this is a created demiplane? I've been in Hell a few times. It is actually quite impressive."

"Rosa? How many are you expecting for this work?"

He glances back at the gate to see who all is following....

Priscilla waited grabbing the wine and then following the others as she pops the cork. As she does she steps in and looks at the rest.

"GAUWSH SUSH AW.." She pauses as she spits out the cork and continues." an open floor plan. reminds me of a vault."

The halflings lass began to drink some of the wine directly from the bottle as she looks around as if it was just another Thursday.


"Yes a demi-plane, think of it as my filing cabinet"

She waves to another Imp and hands it 5 files.

"Files these"

The Imp nods and takes the files away.

"Well you where the only ones who showed up so, its the 4 of use at them moment, plue the Army of the siat, which is around 1 million give or take."

She indicates they should follow as she strides off. They get to a large Elevator , which seemed to be made for here, A human looking Devil dressed as a bell boy works the Elevator. He nods as they get in and asks

"Top floor Mylady"

Rosa nods

and soon you arrive at Rosa's personal office and floor.
Stepping out you walk down a lang corridor with doors.
As you walk down it she says.

"The siat will tell us the plan once we get there and if others will be joining us. Arr here we are"

She two large doors open as you get to them. You enter her personal office.

HER OFFICE

"I have a well stocked bar, and food can be ordered. Please take a seat. I just need to vist my desk."

She walks over to a large desk, one side of the office is a single clear window, outside is the vast landscape of hells. It must be a magic projection, becouse it shows more than one area of the Hells.

She looks at some paperwork, makes some notes and then gets up again, to join them at the bar,

"YAY Bar!!!" Priscilla says as she goes over to it and begins to pull some knives and slice up some fruit to mix some drinks.

Once over there she begins to look at the bar and pull some bottles."Ooo Fancy"

She begins to shake and stir a variety of liquors together with some juice. Once together the halfling begins to drink and look at the others.

"No takers?"

"We are waiting for one more, I just got the note, he is a little late. So once we are all here, we can head down to the training room, and see how we work as a team. I know each of us has our own way of doing things. But this is a fight where I think we need to know how we can fight as a group. I have a few Volatear Devils who we can practice on. So we should work out group tactics. But 1st a get to know each other drink"

You may get the feeling that Volatear may not be the right word. She says as she says to Priscilla behind the bar.

"Do you know how to make a Pink Gin? I have some nice new bitters I got last week just over on that shelf"

Rosa says with a smile, as she points, then turning to the others she says.

"I will start the, let's get to know each other thing, I think you all know of me and what I am. No? will let me show you."

She walks to the middle of her large and expansive officer. And hold out her hand. Out of nowhere a massive hell bald comes into being. Her clothing changes to that of a Executioner of the Hells. Hells police force, who deal with waywood Devils and wrong dowers whos time is up. And whos contracts have to be paid. She is one of Hells Executioners.

With that she swings the massive blade once. Her blade hums and murmurs to itself, its clear is powerful, and darkly sentient. Screaming EVIL as darkness drips off it. Rosa tones down the Scarry, so as not to upset her new collages. She lets go of the sword, which disappears. As it dose her clothing goes back to the simple uniform. When back to normal ROsa gives a sheepish smile.

"I know, a little dramatic, but, The boss says we have to say the lines. Any how, now you know my day job"

She walks back to the Bar and sits taking her drink.

"But I bet you didn't know I am half Drow. And was raised here in the Hells. My father was a concubine to a Matriarch, who got one of his slave humans pregnant. The Matriarch sold me to here for pittance when I as just a child. The Hells are my home, Kind of glad she did, I have done well here. I think I would have died a used up slave in the underdark."

She mused to herself.

"I hope to meet her one day, we can have a little girl to girl chat."

Rosa's eyes falr for a moment a deep red glow as she says that last part. You may get the feeling, it could be a very painful and shot chat for one of the parties involved. Then Rosa's mood shift to lighter things.

"So then what of yourselves. Tragic backstories or just basic lust for money and power, got you to where you are today?"


Cirdan takes time looking around the office. He's had his home for over a century but it isn't anywhere near as grand as this office. Of course he never takes anyone there since it is underground and you have to teleport to it. He grins when he remembers the reactions of his neighbors when he 'pushed it' underground leaving a clear area of dirt in its place. He still owned the land and occasionally had to clear the structures that people tried to build there. Why did they automatically think he'd died just because they hadn't seen him for several years.... or decades.

"Nice place. I'll take a bourbon, neat please."

"Back story? I'm a wizard. A few hundred years ago I was adventuring with a group that tried to make a name for themselves. I hardly remember their names or the name of the group. They disbanded or died off. I continued, searching, teaching sometimes, and yes I was looking for more power. I've done pretty well for myself, and many people around the planet know 'of me'. Very few actually know me. I dare say that the legends get quite silly at times, possibly because they wonder if I'm an animated doll or something. They see a miniature elf driving a ghostly chariot through the skies...." He shrugs and smiles at the description, obviously enjoying the thought.

"No problem" She says as she begins to make the drinks.

"So Raised in hell, awesome!" She says hiding her temporary unease. Doing so she makes the Pink Gin, with the help of her Rat Rizzo. After that she pours some bourbon.

"I've been all over. Started a simple gal who wanted something more then just a wife to some farmer or craftsman." She takes a drink and then quickly makes her knives disappear.

" I well like most naïve gals, taken advantage of." She drank a bit more then laughed.

"That was a wake up call and I began to fight. Learned various skills and abilities to get even. After that I helped other Halflings and Exploited which made me quite successful. I also made note to record a variety of recipes, as well as capitol to start a variety of ventures which granted me even more wealth. I also managed to cause a bit of chaos here and there often garnering more wealth and reputation."

"Like I once slew the Lord of Zhentil Keep, under the nose of all those wizards and Fists of Bane. Lead to a variety of slaves and servants taking their opportunity to flew, while the ambitious rivals the Lord had seek to take over. All to distract from me stealing the Hand of Bane in the basement of the Church. I then well was contracted to lock it away in the wildlands."


Cirdan sips his drink and smiles at Priscilla's words. He snorts at the mention of Zhentil Keep.

"Zhentil Keep? Now there's a place that could use some attention from a Hound of Hell! They're as mixed up as a basket full of Dretch. I once sent a message to the supposed Lord of the keep that I was going to test their security. I flew in, invisible of course, and started disintegrating blocks of stone from the keep wall. I had a full door created before anyone even thought about shooting some arrows at where I might be. Like I wasn't warded against arrows? I was tempted to back off and send a tsunami at the keep, but there are some decent folk there.... Just a few, but I don't randomly kill."

Rosa sips her drink and looks impressed.

"Wow, This is perfect, best I have had."

As Priscilla talked of punishing others while saving woman, she klicks her drink to her.

"Right on sister"

As they both recant about the Keep, she nods

"Yes, Thargate Keep, and the Phaerimm. We have always worked to counter their and Carnivore influence on primes. Lets say we have had a few run in's. It's interesting you brought the keep up, we have a theory that the Phaerimm may be connected to this event."

She lets that drop, but looks at them sideways as if thinking they know more than they are letting on.


Cirdan finishes his drink and sets the glass down when he hears 'Phaerimm'. "Phaerimm? You think they're linked to the artifact? Or that maybe the thing inside it is an advanced one of those slugs!?! Those things are annoying to fight. They're smart, strong fighters and resistant to magic. And they're casters too."

He glances around at the others. "And an army won't help you. They'll fly out of range and either get the army fighting itself, or blast it with magic just for fun."

Korvus has been distracted, wandering around the room and looking at the various cabinets and files. He politely declines any offers of food or drink, not wishing to become beholden to powers of Hell.

At the mention of Phaerimm his ears perks up. Oh, them, well if it is them then I have a number of scores to settle. I am afraid that I have been out of the world for a rather long time but I think I still remember how to battle monsters and protect my allies. I possess a very wide range of spells. Cirdan, you may wish to bear that in mind when deciding what magic to prepare. You can expect me to stun or daze enemies with various elemental magic, strip away buffs, impede enemy actions, provide support such as haste, heroism, resist energy, planar adaptation and life bubble. I tend to apply a very wide range of spells on myself as well. I will often be invisible and difficult to detect with magic as I remain mind blanked at all times.

"Yes we do, we have agents on other planes and the feeling is, the Phaerimm have done this before, taken out a world by making it a hunting, feeding and breeding site"

" Greet they sound lovely" Priscilla says as she sighs.

" Not a big spell caster though I have tricks like conjuring lights and an Acid touch. Which comes in handy!!!"


"Hmm.... If we face the Phaerimm invisibility won't help, possibly against their soldiers though. If you cover haste and heroism I can provide displacement. They're resistant to magic and probably to regular weapons or weakly enchanted ones. Not that the last would be found with any of us."

"The saint has been collecting info on them and she will show us what she has. But I have a fine liberty here if you wish to research them"


OK GM here, Rosa is an NPC, so can only go so far, I am waiting on
Galacta Knight to join is. I will give them until weekend. Then move this along. For now lest test our PCs."


Looking around at the group Cirdan asks, "Can everybody fly? The greatest warrior in the world can do little if the opponent is flying out of reach. I can prepare flying spells but need to know who needs them."

I'll do the final adjustments to my prepared spells once I get the answer.

"Its powerfully enchanted by a halfling wizard named Jordi Cordwood, it and my Rope Shot" She says showing the small rope with a monkeys knot on the end.

Rosa just shrugs and two large devil like wings spring form her back, they seem to be made of force. She flaps the once, then they fold back.

"Come on lets go to the training room, and see if we can work out close and range work as a group"

She gets off her stool and taking her drink. Walks out her office to the Elevator once more.

If you follow here, you the Tifling looking bell hop takes you down to a floow with a large Anthea theater.

Rosa walks out into the space. All around are Devils watching as she dose so.

"Me fellow Devils, Sorry to keep you all waiting. You are here to see the Devil knows a Gipreek the vicious be punished for Sadistion and brewing rebellion with a chaotic Demon no less. Bring him hance."

From out of the floor of the arena a cage rasses. In which is a Devil bound in cold iron chaines. He is about 30' tall, with a monkey head and four arms, bat like wings on his back. Huge fangs and glwoing read eyes, she skin is scaled. His feet as hands with even more claws.

Rosa holds out her hands once more, and her Hell Blade comes into being, her clothing changes to that of A Hound of hell. She keeps the wings in place.

"Gipreek the vicious!! you have been found giulty, how do you wish to die, A mersifull cut form me or.... death is Battle, for Hells Entertainment, take your time. We do have all day."

She turns to the others,

"So then some simple practice. No matter what he says, we are going to kill this wrong dower. So fancy ago."


Cirdan studies the devil trying to identify the type and any important information, immunities, resistances, and any special powers.

Do we know what turns off his regen? I am just going to assume good. On the immunity to stun, do you also consider that applies to the dazed condition? I have seen it treated both ways.


"True. I figured he'd be immune to fire and poison. Pretty much all devils are. And the resistance to acid and cold are normal but significantly higher than most. Lightning would be a good choice then, or force, but I don't know his spell resistance for sure. That could be an issue if it is at an extreme level, which it probably is."

"How soon are we starting? Rosa? Do you want Displacement cast on you?"

"Well I have a few things I could hit it and run. Maybe magics to make me move faster? Or be invisible?" She says as she looks at the thing then laughs.

"I can also try a few things to demoralize him." Priscilla says as she pulls out her rope shot and attaches it to her arm. She also checks her ranged weapons.

Oh dear, it is bloviating as well.

With a wave of his hand Korvus also hastes the group in preparation for battle.

If we are going to engage in these mock battles we should probably also test when we dont have the chance in engage in a lot of short term buff spells. Sadly real world battles often dont give you the chance.

Cirdan ignores the enemy and casts displacement on Rosa and Pricilla, then summons a mount.

How much room do we have? Are we in an open area or an enclosed gauntlet? Casting Phantom Steed and Ride the Lightning.
