The undine had been eerily quiet thus far, spending all his time observing the night sky and poring over star charts. When he feels prepared, he finally joins in the conversation.

"I am Korez and I too have previously visited these islands. It was no picnic, let me tell you! Although we were almost lunch." He shudders at the recollection.

"I am an astronomer. I know it is unusual for one of my kind, but consider how important the stars are to those who dwell on the sea for navigation. I have an affinity to the heavenly bodies which grants me all sorts of powers. Most importantly, I can focus the heavenly spirits on anyone who needs to move and they just instantly appear somewhere else."

Heaven's Leap hex lets me use jester's jaunt on everyone 1x/day. I will use it to save people who go down in combat, to move someone into place for a full attack or flank if desired, or any other unusual movement we require. Feel free to ask for its use if you have any ideas.

I also added my Gloomspire perception bonus to the map dice box.

Same question ^^ but especially since the Kami Reunited boon which you didn't X out says it requires both Respect boons. So we either should have gotten Tanbaru's Respect or not gotten the Reunited boon.

Yeah, would using heaven's leap be something which would give the monk a new save? I don't think it would fall into the category of automatically breaking but it's not really clear.

If I can use heaven's leap without automatically breaking fascination I will move Thundering Bull up right behind the monk to finish him off. Good suggestion, Whendel. ;)

Korez is a little overwhelmed by the assortment of wands being thrust in his face all at once. "Okay, okay, you will all get your healing!" He takes each wand in turn and taps its owner with a quick bow. When everyone is finished, he retrieves his armor and gets all suited back up.

Roll your own wands to save time if you like. Korez will always help out.

My barkskin lasts for 30 minutes so I would assume there' some time left on it still?

Ok I was thinking we were at -60. Makes sense then.

Korez warns, "I might need some extra protection if we get attacked along this ledge." He removes his bulky armor and follows the rest, using his climbing kit to bypass the gaps.

Without armor on I can take 10 for a 12 on Climb.

Can we do a climb to the -40' stairs instead of all the way up? And if I jaunt everyone to the -40' or -30' level can we just walk up from there since we would be past the gaps? I think that still constitutes a hard challenge since it would expend so many of my uses of that ability.

Korez purchases a climbing kit as they pass through Ramparassad, realizing every bit of precaution will help among the forboding mountains.

Spent 80 gold. If we have a chance to rememorize spells, I can use monkeyfish as another climbing aid. Would it be ok to say that he would have anticipated the need for climbing beforehand so I can switch it now?

Once they strike out into the wilderness, he invites Tanbaru to rest on his face. "Perhaps together we shall see all danger before it sees us."

A serious-looking undine with various lenses and tubes hanging out of his pack and off his cloak nods his greetings to all. "I am Korez. I study the motions of the heavens. I have learned much about their great powers but the more I learn, the more I realize I do not even know."

When the oni appears, he remarks, "I have never seen one of your kind before. That sounds simply dreadful though. I'm sure you have much you can tell us about the Tapestry after such a long stay?"

No on both counts for me unless he appeared in Serpent's Rise? I don't think so though.
