It's a game of retaliation, and when blue's weapon slices into one of her legs the force of the blow sends blood flying while increasing the momentum of her spinning counter attack.

Seren will take advantage of the presence of her new camel friend to continue her whirlwind of blades at the blue bandana'd sailor. The mist seems more her ally than enemy as her movements drag it into swirling trails about her. With practiced skill she drifts over the fallen green sailor, stepping carefully around his limbs to the beat of Kaylee's amazingly effective cheer.

"Where is the challenge for my unmatched skill!?" A male voice passes her lips, immediately followed by the far more feminine, "Stop being such a peacock! You're going to get all of them swinging at my head!"

"Without toes, standing is difficult, yes, we may not want him limping before us, an easy target. But if he can draw a map, or point us where to go, that will be enough I think."

Sumil frowns, wishing he'd studied linguistics as a young man along side his paranormal studies. "None of your ghosts can speak this language either Seren? I had hoped they would provide some insight."

The man glares at the strange woman again, before turning to Jiggo. Rubbing his chin, he tries to recall anything useful before ultimately shrugging his shoulders.

"Ցավում եմ, բայց չեմ հիշում: Ես կգնամ ձեզ հետ, բայց պարզապես օգնելու ձեզ ապահով պահել" he answers, looking to Sumil.

"Ես պետք է պարզեմ, թե ինչ է պատահել իմ ընկերներին եւ ինձ" He promptly turns towards the dark mist and motions for you to continue.

Celestial:

"I am sorry, but I can't seem to remember. I will go with you but simply to help keep you safe."

"I must find out what happened to my comrades and myself!"

After a few moments, those that were hear before manage to piece together from memory where the entrance lies.

They lead you passed a gruesome skull - headed effigy, created some months before and point out a large stone monolith from afar. You are just able to make out the structure through the mist, which stands in the middle of a clearing.

The stone creation stands twelve feet in the air with approximately a five foot diameter. The faces of several dozen one-eyed monsters with large mouths agape, as if preparing to appease an unspeakable hunger, are carved into it.

Turning down another break in the trees you find a crack in the earth splits the ground. Most of it is covered in thick weeds and the roots of a huge stranger fig tree. Below the tangled roots is a deep shaft that decend into the gloom below.

Taking your time you manage to make it down the shaft safely, using the prevalent roots as an almost ladder. Obviously nothing has moved into this first level since the last group explored. Before long, you stand before a massive door, recently chopped to pieces from the looks of it. From the splinters, you can just make out what seems to once depict a scowling face. A spiral staircase awaits you beyond the destruction. The darkness below beckons you.

K Engineering DC 15:

It appears someone used an Adamantine Sword to 'open' the door

Feel free to RP your travel. Will push forward Thursday evening

"Ohhh I WISH I understood what he's saying, that language is SOOOO PRETTY! You can talk to me like that any time you want, big boy." Kaylee winks seductively at the paladin.

As the group is entering the shaft, Kaylee says "This is sorta like going down into the sewers of Absalom, but totally not, like, smelly?" She casts light on one of the patches on her scarf to illuminate the path down into the depths.

"Rest easy and stay up here." Jiggo hands the man his canteen. "We shall return so we can get you home."

Jiggo starts climbing down. "Are the sewers always this...gloomy?" He maintains a light spell on his quarterstaff as they climb down. "I did help console a few unfortunate people who used a drain as refuge. The area was ripe for disease."

Jed follows along until they come to the shaft. He commands Stark to guard the exit and climbs down with the rest. He pays close attention to the rooms they move through, particularly looking at all the stonework. It looks like a few times he is about to respond to a comment, but does not.

Would Craft: Stonemasonry work for the K: Engineering check? If so then... 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23.

GM:
Friendly reminder about... Stonecunning: Dwarves receive a +2 bonus on Perception checks to potentially notice unusual stonework, such as traps and hidden doors located in stone walls or floors. They receive a check to notice such features whenever they pass within 10 feet of them, whether or not they are actively looking.

"His language may be pretty, but he keeps giving me dirty looks!" She mutters and scuffs her foot on the ground as she follows the others. "I ain't done nothing... don't seem very paladiny to me."

To Sumil's question she gets distracted from her own musings staring at the weird monster statues and shrugs. "Oh, I bet Wynn can do it. But she'd have to go in here." Seren taps the side of her head. "To do it, and that's exhausting! We don't talk so well otherwise, and after a few minutes I'd be worn out for the day. Having ghosts and things in ya is hard work."

When they reach the cave she follows suit with the others, giving one of her blades a long, hard stare until it starts to glow with a soft light. "Don't worry Korez, I haven't blinked in at least an hour!"

Sumil also casts light as the party continues on toward the spiral staircase. He raises and eyebrow as Seren explains how her ghosts work and he shrugs.

"I have studied the lingering effects of the spirit and ghosts on items but I have never met someone constantly afflicted with their presence. " He tries to keep his scholarly interest in check however, made easy by his hatred of the Gloomspires.

"I hope whoever chopped this door down does not want to swing at us, yes?" He says as he creeps forward.

Jed:

The door itself is wooden - and nothing unusual about the stonework at this point. I will allow the craft check since other items made from adamantine would also bypass the hardness

The paladin frowns at Jiggo's suggestion, shakes his head and quickly climbs down the shaft, following you all closely through the first level. You begin making your decent down the spiral stairs, as lights become produced. After descending what seems like an eternity into darkness, you come upon a closed door. Opening the door, you see horrid shapes forming within the cloying green mist that fills this blood splattered chamber. It pulses sporadically and with seeming voracity.

Ooze Traits

K Religion DC 20+:

Special Attacks:
Enveloping Mists - Make reflex save to avoid being engulfed or opted to take an AoO instead - any creature that starts its turn within the creature's 15ft radius takes negative energy damage and is staggered

Bewitching Brume Aura: 10ft radius (Beyond creatures 15ft size) DC 8 Will save. At the start of an creatures turn within this radius must make a save vs shaken from the glimpsed shapes of phantoms floating within the fog (mind-affecting fear affect)
For each additional 5 you beat the DC, ask a question or I'll determine what you would likely know

From here on out, I will assume you keep reseting your light spells as needed. No need to restate every 10 min/level.
Map Updated - The paladin delays until after Jiggo goes - hence why his initiative is moved

Korez/Kaylee/Seren/Jiggo Up --> The mist causes anything over 20ft away to have concealment with 25% miss (instead of 20%)

Nailed the Knowledge check... but since I can't act and I can't actually see it (rolled it before I realized I couldn't see it) I'll just sit here thinking about all sorts of fun knowledgy things to myself.

"I'm not sure what that thing is, but I don't like the looks of it at all. Let's see if we can expose it a bit better." He summons the spirits of the heavens to illuminate the creature.

Using Stardust ability. This causes the target to shed light as a candle, and it cannot benefit from concealment or any invisibility effects. The creature takes a –1 penalty on attack rolls and sight-based Perception checks. Lasts for 1 round.

Within the fog, Jiggo sees a bizarre apparition.
Knowledge(Religion): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
"Gah! What is that?" Jiggo has no time to think about it, however. With some fervor, he protects himself against evil and then moves into the room, blessing one end of his staff.

Using my fervor ability to cast Protection from Evil as a swift action. I'm also spending a blessing to deal 1d6 extra damage against evil creatures for one minute.

Seren muscles her way past the people ahead of her on the stairs, finally stumbling past Sumil to nearly land on her face in the room. This gives her a great view of Jiggo and his new friend as she stands and holds her arms out looking for new scuffs on her clothes. "Oh! That there is a spooky cloud! You can tell cause... it's a cloud and kinda spooky."

She continues to approach while moving to let her and Jiggo surround it. Her feet pick up her pace and begin to pivot until she turns into the whirl of fabric and sharp bits with her frantic dancing. As her face turns pale and her eyes roll back there's no immediate flurry of blows. It seems like the spirit controlling her is waiting for a cue with a grin on her face before lashing out.

Free action to dance, move to new location, and ready to attack after Kaylee provides some motivational cheering!

Kaylee moves into the room and starts cheering for her allies, knowing they only need to hear her to be inspired by her excitement.

You all have +1 to atk/dmg/vs. fear once more. Seren already included this bonus in her above attack. :)
