YES!1 thank you Avr,I do belive that is the one, my thanks !

im trying to find a specific spell/ feat/ or trait that basically allows a spell caster to "spend a round or so concentrating- as their spellbook slowly fades into the astral/etheral plane' and vice versea . I cant recall where i saw it, or if it was Patfinder, or D20 or even jsut 3.0/3.5- but if anyone can rember this, or point me in the right direction i would be gratefull.
thanks you

all iv'e managed to find about it so far is a paragraph or two here and there in River Kingdoms guide/ and way finder 15- Wiki has surprising very litte xtra to add. which is surprising, as the whole "kingdom without a king with a young prince in hiding to reclaim throne" screams adventure path or at least potential module or two.

Has anyone else used Artume in their campaigns? or know where else (modules/adventures, etc) i could look at to find more on it?
thanks

I've been watching the bbc merlin tv show again (Colin Morgan one), and it gave me some ideas for a variant Kingmaker campaign.
Has anyone considered using a diffrent area other than the stolen lands as a jumping point for it?
my idea in my head was thinking of using Artume for our starting characters- more specifically the EverBloom village (NICE idea from Wayfinder #15))- to create a "merlinisque" type of campaign. Using a younger version of Prince Edwyrd , a milani cleric/ monk and couple of diffrent types of cavaliers as well as getting a spell caster/ ranger/druid rouge types from diffrent areas -

The idea is , instead of starting from scratch- start from the village at lowlevel- explore the area, instead of the staglords bandits and low level bosses- we'd fight the low level bandits/thugs used by the false regent in the kingdome of Artume. working our way up the chain of command so to speak. and instead of the big boss fight being the staglord/and other events before the war with pitax- we'd be helping Edwyrd reclaim his throne and bring stability to Artume. moving from Artume to an area on the map called "thorn" or Thom ???) without trespassing on the OutSea teritory. using diplomacy with the thom area to join the kingdom, make a trade/non agression pact with OutSea, at higher levels begin laying claim to the Loric Fells area.

Once the Fells have been tamed- the war with Pitiax could commence much the same way as it does in the standard KM series - and going from there to the stolen lands proper - with the high teens levels ending with Thousand voices/ agian much the same as standard.

Thoughts/ ideas? thanks

Hoping someone here can help me find ..or at least point me in the right direction. I recall reading a specific class or prestige class (possibly an archetype) made specifically for Kingmaker.. this class was meant for the Ruler category and basically gave the Ruler different abilities for improving the kingdom building as they leveled up.

might have been official (or more likely 3rd party) if anyone can help , i would appreciate it.. thanks.

Speaking for myself, I would like the option (if not at start up..but at some point). be able to use deities from outside the "base 9" set. all of our chars in story come FROM someplace ELSE.. so it would make seince that our god choices wont necerarly be from "the local area".

My personal choice for my envisioned character is Qi-Zong from the Dragon Empires area. My character will be either human ..or half/elven from the Dragon empires who has come to to the river kingdoms based on loose dreaMS/nightmares?) his dieity has been sending him of late, moving him to where he will be needed.
Qi-Zong is the god of Healing, Magic, and Medicine (magic in the form of the 5 elments ((fire/metal/earth=stone/ water/ and wood.
my char will be a Healer/cleric who will also focus on herblism/alchemy (medicine) and dabble with wizardry(magic- spells selected from the five elements and healing abiltites)
so he would be the perfect dieity fit for my character.

i will probly have to choose a diffrent NG deity to start game..but would love the option of converting to him later in game .
Just my 2 copper peices worth.
