I somehow missed this. My suggestion wasn't to use post order but to put the PCs into one turn, let the players each post their action then the GM takes all those actions at once, then has all the opponants respond at once. There shouldn't be very many cases where order comes into play and on those rare occasions then initiative can be used to determine order. I.E. PC 1 moves and atks bogie 1, PC 2 atks same bogie, and PC 3 atks and kills bogie 2. The turn order doesn't matter unless bogie 2 gets an AOO, and if that happened then you could check initiative to see if it happened before or after bogie 2 died. If bogie 1 died by one of the two atks (not needing both to die) then you could either narrate a simo kill by both PC 1 & 2 (easiest and kinda cool) or you could use initiative to pick the second and make a common sense move to shift that second atk to an adjacent enemy. It's the generally ignoring action order that makes it easier and faster, having a different method of picking order doesn't really make a difference (unless you want the posts to be in turn order). In this method, initiative still matters if less often, though interestingly, this makes initiative improvements more likely to be meaningful when initiative actually does come up. In any case, it was just a suggestion, but I don't think anyone noticed anyway.

I dont mind too much, though usually its better if at least the gm has a map for tracking aoos and such and makes things more consistant and helps avoid the confusion of who can reach whom and when. I think the better speed up option is ignoring initiative and just having the pcs post their actions together then the gm posts the results and the bad guys actions. Having that two step rounds simplifies when we post and forces us to worry less about who has done what, while making team tactics easier to implement. It does take more sense on the GMs part on whether two players both finished off the bad guy in simo, or if one of them shifts their atk to another target, while the first kills the intended target.

"I see. Thank you for the dagger. Some places still use magic heavily, and items can be made from magic, like my birth weapon. Every reapling is made from a magic item. Actually the reapling overseer was made from many, but she was a dead dragon turned into a reapling. I got to help. I hope we don't run into any dragons though. It took Shiara and our army a lot of fighting to defeat the last one." She turns to dash, "If you can find my double sword, or my armor that would be much apprieciated." not really expecting the armor but she would ask anyway

You only have two languaged selected so there should be five more for you to pick, though the two you have can't be understood by the necklaces. Kitika looks puzzled. She turned to Laryn, "Why can't we understand him?" she turns back to Fuar, "Can you understand me? This means yes and this means no." she nods and shakes respectivily.

Kitika looks at Lady, "Nice to meet you, but I do not know what a schematic is. I know of the magic these necklaces use but I never actually learned the spell myself. Wasn't any need before." Then Kitika gets Fuar's attention, then she gesturea cone from her mouth while saying a word, then points to necklace then to her ears and smiles. If he still doesn't catch on, she will calmy try to put hers on him.

Kitika watched cautiously as the newcomers came down from the ceiling and one of them handed out necklaces. She guessed however from their appearence and their sense of haste that they were likely trying to leave this place, so she accepted the necklace when offered and followed carefully into the secret door. She speaks somewhat quietly,

Kitika was pondering what these people were like to put her in a cell without even a trial or anything, which being a criminal was the most probable reason she could think for being here. There were other possibilities but she doubted that you could have this many absolutely depraved people working together. Then again this was a diffeent plane. Suddenly she heard a few cries from nearby, it sounded like another cell in the same wall. She called back in draconic, figureing it was the most likely language to be understood elsewhere, at least of the languages she knew. A few words in draconic: "Hello? Who are you?"
Ooh! I found black blood oracle. Its funny because I was thinking of something like it inspired by SoulEater, to be part of making reaplings, I just hadn't finalized the concept. And here we have a black blood so very much like what I already gave them as a race but more so, except the penalty to dex that wan't part of my concept. So here she is, I do need to double check everything after work and answer some of those RP questions. There is a reapling thread in the homebrew forum with more info, Id link it except I cant C&P with my nook.
I'll present her to be reworked as a learned sorcerery sorcerer or as an oracle. Either style of caster works with the character. A druid could work to if that would be preferable. She is a half construct abberation, created life that is a negative energy creature with a resistance to negative energy. No legs but instead has a serpentine body for legs. She is created life, with very little idea of normal.

DarkLightHitomi here with Kitika, my reapling scout Cleric. I must say I wrote a lot more then I usually do, so enjoy. P.S. she doesn't yet realize that negative energy harms most things here, so she refers to her inflict spells as cure and vice versa. Hope this gets clarified before she tries to heal anyone :) |
