Great PFS introduction

5/5

This is a great scenario. It has everything an intro should.

The tips for running it for brand new players versus those that are replaying are helpful and keep it fresh.

I ran it for a mixed group of players, a couple new to PFS, and some new to role-play all together. Everyone had a great time.

issues

2/5

ok some issues i have with this one.

Spoiler:
First, there are 2 combat encounters that have no scaling rules for them (party of 4), even tho they are the same CR or within 1 as encounters that do have scaling rules.

Second, why are parties that negotiate with the angel penalized so heavily?

Doing this scenario with no magical gear is a death sentence, especially for martial characters.

Other then that I think the scenario is a great story.

Encounters make this one

4/5

This one is all about the encounters, and history. Every encounter is memorable. Not much for roleplaying, but when your going to place called he Isle of Terror are you really expecting to talk to people?

Too confined

3/5

I thought the layout was too confined for what was being done. Also T1-2 seems too easy. I haven't run a group in that tier that didn't just walk through most of it.

Fun, but not for new players

4/5

My players said they liked it, even tho they all died. THe final boss in T4-5 is a beast. If they aren't prepared or use poor tactics, he will kill a player outright.

Infiltrate

4/5

I complete change of pace from the first part of the series, but a fun one. I thought it was organized poorly and required alot of flipping back and forth. Outside of that I don't have many complaints.

Great start

5/5

Great module to bring players in or to start GMing. It has everything a game should have.

Doesn't compare to P1&2

3/5

compared to the first 2 it falls short. There are some great parts, only 1 real RP moment (tho it is a great one). I could see some people getting bored playing this one.

Off the rails fun

5/5

This is my favorite scenario to date. When I ran my VC took it way off script, (not on purpose). It made for an incredibly good time for everyone involved. If you don't like dealing with goblins, then don't play this one.

Spies r us

4/5

Kind of interesting to go undercover, but not very good if you have LG aligned players (first off your in Riddleport). I could see LG characters not wanting to really do anything in the scenario.

Investigation with a time limit

4/5

Besides the horrible attempt at a chase mechanic everything was good, Story was interesting enough to keep everyone going.

A dwarf in Irrisen is not happy

4/5

Part 2 is just as good as part 1, still cold as hell. I think the area of special laws should have been played up more. Too many humans for a nation where monsters have equal rights.

Intersting

4/5

I had a good time. I think some of the mechanics of things were wonky and needed to be redone, but nothing game breaking.

Surprised me how fun it was

5/5

I went thinking "meh" but it wasn't long before I was in love. Some of the encounters can be hard, but those are always the most fun in my book.

Who done it

4/5

I like mystery at the beginning, not knowing what to expect is great.

Combat was challenging but not overbearing.

Meh...

3/5

It almost felt like if you make to a certain point you can't fail. Which is bad, I don't want to fell like no mater what I do I can't go wrong.

Who doesn't love fey, when you can kill them.

4/5

Seriously tho this was a fun one. Even for my dwarven inquisitor of cayden. When he is having to negotiate with fey you know something went off track. Plenty of opportunity to put the dice down and talk. If you want.

Awesome, just Awesome

5/5

We finished this extremely fast. (pretty easy when the party lets my 6 charisma Dwarf brawler take charge) Played T1-2, plenty of RP moments, mixed in with combat and skills.

Good times in the dark

4/5

I had fun time playing this, mix of investigation, combat, and puzzle solving. On the hard side to complete, but it can be done.

Loved it, minus faction missions

5/5

I loved everything about this scenario, except the faction missions. It felt like the author wrote it, then was reminded they had to do faction missions. So they were thrown in after the fact.

Challenging but fun.

4/5

I had a blast with this, even if I almost died multiple times. Water, and falling. Not the most graceful ways to go, but reminds you that even the environment can be your challenge and not monsters.

Average

3/5

It isn't a bad scenario. Played T1-5 as my first PFS game. Nothing too memorable about it. Average fights, some what lacking on roleplay opportunities.
