I also think there could be more information in how you generally cast spells that will also shed light on the situation. The kind of gestures required for casting will be called out, class by class.

I think it would make a lot of sense for making secret movements requiring either deception or stealth.

I wonder if gestures are fuzzy because they're caster specific. Some casters may have more of a flourish and others may use symbolic gestures.

If each class had their own gestures that would seem like something that could be used to identify the class of caster when they're casting.

I found the sanctification choice especially interesting on Gorum, who previously did not allow good aligned clerics IIRC. I guess he's cool with people that want to fight on the side of the angels against demons, or demons against angels, as long as they are fighting.
This seems consistent with Gorum's deal. Like it's hard to be a good person who "believes diplomacy is never preferable to fighting" (a basic tenet of Gorumites) but "I will devote my life to my quest to personally decapitate every single devil" is both Gorumesque and Holy.

It really reinforces the idea that Sanctification is about joining a large Cosmic battle between Holy & Unholy.

Of course Gorum's gonna let you join that Cosmic battle but Pharasma on the other hand isn't interested in the Cosmic battle.

Sanctification can have completely different meanings to different people. Some people could be joining to fight for or against Holy/Unholy for personal beliefs while people like Gorum's are mercenaries joining a war.

You can now roleplay a character who's divinely blessed to kill Unholy while also being a person who'd be considered Evil.

Ninja being a Wis Racket with Ki Powers seems like it would fit. It starting with Ki Rush just seems to make thematic sense. I'm unsure if giving a focus spell is too powerful for a racket though. Also could be a different focus power so that Wis would be more useful.

Another option for Ninja could be to have Stealth or Acrobatics scale off Wis.

A different thematic focus for Ninja could be Deception/Impersonation focused. Allowing Impersonate (Deception Untrained Action) to scale off Dex so instead of sneak attacking a Ninja could backstab disguised as the enemy.

Bloodrager could possibly work if Barbarians got an upgrade for moment of clarity that upgraded to last until rage ends. I would like it to be a lvl 4 feat so you could get sorcerer dedication. If not it could be a 1 action focus spell with concentrate(rage) that stays active until rage ends.

How powerful would the ability to switch spell lists once a day be? A Shaman or Medium that could switch out spell lists by choosing different spirits could be interesting. Like 2 spells per day and 1 focus power from the Spirit.

A Shifter as a Master Martial who can use his own Attack and in Shapeshifted form. He then could add special stuff like essentially weapon property runes to his form. So adding Ghost Touch aor Flaming to his forms. But only get 1 while transformed so the Shifter can Shift into the Right Form for each situation. The amount of Property Runes they could have be limited so they can't have every solution.

I don't want to replace them since I don't wish to recreate the dump stat problem. Because 18 is the max required for Dex/Con/Wis it means you could start with 14 and only upgrade them every 10 levels to gain points for the defense. It also means Dex/Con/Wis don't need to become 20 so that become 4 stat points spread among other stats.

The argument against replacing Constitution does make sense since it is the least powerful compared to Dexterity & Wisdom. In that case only 2 stats need to be pared with saving throws.

In that situation it makes sense for Strength to be Reflex and Charisma to be Will. In this situation Intelligence could be either Reflex or Will. So Int would be Will when combined with Strength and Reflex when combined with Charisma.

One of the issues with the Ability Score Array is the power of saving throws and the weakness that comes from not investing your level ups when you other Ability Scores are raised. One Example is a Wizard who raises Int and then raises Dex/Con/Wis if they're not using Str or Cha. If the Wizard wanted to use Cha for skills then depending on how effectively he uses and invests in those skills determines if it was a better or worse option.

I don't think wanting to raise Str or Cha should ever be balanced against the defensive prowess of a saving throw so I had an idea on how to change that.

My idea starts off with the idea that Strength, Intelligence, and Charisma correspond to a saving throw. Str for Fortitude, Int for Reflex, and Cha for Will. In the Alternative Ability Score Array Strength combined with Constitution and Charisma gained Will Saves. Int could be considered using your powerful mind to react/predict danger.

So my idea is that the alternate stat gains +1 to its saving throw every 4 points, so 14,18, and 22. It's limited by the natural cap a character could have with the same stat at that level. So since 18 Dex is +4 Reflex to get +4 Reflex you would need 18 Int for +2 Reflex and 14 Dex for +2 Reflex.

Another thing to take into account is that only one stat could every reach max potential so an 18 Dex Character can only reach 16 Wis for +3 Will the cap remains similar for the 18 Int Character.

With this system a max stat of 22 without the +2 stat item Dexterity at level 20 would be 22 for a +6 reflex so 22 Intelligence and 16 Dexterity would be enough to reach cap. With a stat item placed into Intelligence the cap would become +7 reflex then requiring 18 Dexterity. Dexterity only raised from 14-18 with this system allowing 2 level ups to go into other stats.

Sorry, but how the heck are you telling yourself slavery didn't used to be evil? There were abolitionists centuries ago, and slave revolts as long as slavery has ever existed. Something being acceptable because of racism or profit doesn't make it not evil, and acting like only the ruling class gets to dictate the morality of the era is fraught as hell.

What I'm trying to say is that society in the past did not deem it evil in anyway similar to what it is now. But in Golarion slavery has always been evil because Good and Evil are based off of current Morals.

A society that truly knows what Good and Evil are would not have morals similar to the past but closer to now.

I'm wondering if making hexes focus cantrips that you can then spend focus points to increase their power would have been a better idea.

What if you spend 2 focus points to ignore the 24h immunity to a hex.

It seems like Witches are not divine so there is plausible deniability. Have you ever watched a movie or TV show with a terrorist cell? Each person only needs to know what they need to do so if they're caught it can't bring down the whole cell.

Patrons are hiding both from gods and from the witch themselves. What if a good witch had an evil patron and she discovered who it was. The witch might reveal that to the good gods and tell them what her evil patron wanted her to do. Don't forget the Witch is not loyal to her patron like a Cleric to a God.

In the playtest spells were action(verbal)/action(somatic). In the Release it was changed to action, action (somatic, verbal). It seems that they wanted to change it so that actions were separate from components.

I really hope we get the four tenets of good, evil, lawful, and chaotic. A paladin would work with the CG Liberator but never with the LE. It matter evens more in regards with Neutral gods because before all Neutral gods just accepted evil as a natural state of things.

Now when Neutral Gods like Pharasma don't allow evil but Lawful Gods like Abadar do can a Paladin worship a God no longer forced to accept evil. With Tenets of Lawfulness the Lg/Ln/Le versions can work together against Chaotic forces.

What this shows is that the "Canny Acumen" feat is fairly pointless. All classes get minimally expert in Perception/Reflex/Fortitude/Will saves. That means the feat is really only useful at L17+ to get one of those to Master proficiency, which means it gets taken at L15 for no mechanical benefit for 2 levels or L19 (only mechanical benefit for 2 levels).

From what I see Wizard/Champion/Sorcerer get expert Perception at lvl 11 and Cleric get expert Reflex at 11 so Canny Acumen (Perception) should be rather useful.
