Here is PJP's submission. I still need to finish up equipment, spells and feats, but the basics are here. The background is at the top, so let me know any thoughts on it.
Kiren coats her equipment with the mink oil, and then prepares to enter the water. Kiren grabs her potion, but doesn't drink it. "Others do this without magic? Than so shall I!" She takes a deep breath, and proceeds under the water, following the tunnel.
"Water breathing potions? Really? Well, that sounds useful."
"Then I guess we are to be on our way. Let's get moving."
"Very well, we will swim." KiRen motions for Aada to lead the way to the market district.
"Underwater? Then I will need a way to protect our gear. Do you have any ideas for that?"
"I am KiRen. I have agreed to rescue some of these missing people of which you speak, because... well, with the torch out, it is something to do. I shall return, and I do not plan to return alone."
"This is not the time, nor the place, for children's antics. Stay here, and we will take care of the others. This is becoming quite the rescue mission!"
"Hmph. Seems like something most shout avoid - not everyone has the fortitude of a dwarf. Very well, let's head toward the cave."
Still here...
"No, not yet, but we are finding some leads. A couple dwarves apparently get drunk in here, but might not have been around lately? Hear they went up to Hilltop and had some interesting encounter - one of them died. We are trying to see if it may be related. Any clue who we might be talking about?"
"Foundry first, I think. Let's see if we can find these dwarves and ask some questions." KiRen heads for the tavern.
"Dwarves drinking android blood? I tell you, nothing good comes from this 'technology' that plagues our lands." KiRen looks around. "Back to the foundry to find drunk dwarves, then?"

KiRen, struggling with the accent, looks confused, then says "Someone else wanted this stuff? Can you describe her?"
KiRen looks around with a bit of disdain on her face (which is not unusual for her, you might guess). "I suppose you sell some of this junk, eh? Can you show me the piece with the purple liquid, and is there more of it here? I have gold."
After he answers, KiRen steps forward and says, "I hear things, and these things say you had a heck of a flame out in here recently..." She looks around as she talks. "Some say it was hot, like a second flame! Do you know what I speak of?"
"I am ready to enter the caves in search of our missing human, but Gema makes a... reasonable... argument. There may be someone worth intero...er... questioning before we go." As the others turn to her, KiRen continues. "There is one here who collects junk, and I hear he found something that 'lit up his shack like a second torch'. I was thinking to go talk to him anyway, to see what he has found, but then this came up. Still, perhaps he may tell us something, as he is sort of in the same business as our friend."
Here, but super stealthy...
KiRen looks at Gema, surprised by the repeated defense of machines, but simply scoffs and starts sifting through the destroyed robot's components.
"These... machines... cannot be trusted. They have no feelings, no morality."
KiRen pulls out her blade with a scraping sound of metal on metal, bringing wires and chips out with it. "These constructs are dangerous, as we can plainly see. We should not let them in our homes." Not being the coddling type, KiRen looks over to verify that Val will live, and nods satisfied that the situation is done.
KiRen strides right in and tries to destroy the bot, her raison d'etre.
KiRen rushes out toward the scream, pulling out her falchion.
I am traveling this week and so may not be able to post every day, but will jump in when I can. Feel free to not KiRen as needed.
"I think it is worth a look before we enter the caves."
KiRen, a stout looking woman with a full head of jet black hair, strides confidently into the tavern, head held high. A simple but effective leather skirt and sturdy boots look practical, but the scuffed breastplate and notched falchion show that she is not afraid to mix things up. A warm fur lined cloak hangs from her shoulders, and large copper disks hang from her ears. "I am sad to hear your troubles, Miss Val. I have heard of such reward they offer, and so I expect more than a few will take up this task for the monetary gain alone. I care not for such things... but you and your father have been kind to me, despite my insistence that he meddles with things he should fear. I am certain that techno-garbage he seeks has caused his troubles, but we can have hope that he has simply gotten himself trapped and needs rescue. Yes, I will search for your father, and perhaps take care of a few of these dangerous machines in the process." "He went into the caves, of that we are certain? It seems, then, that is where I must go. Who will join me?"

KiRen pounds out the last dent of her breastplate, grumbling as she works. Two days without the fires of the forge! If this continues, I am going to have to find another source of income, and I hate looking for work! Trying on the armor, she twists and stretches to see if she continues to have full range of movement. The training session from yesterday dented more than just her ego, but the armor was quicker to repair. As she turns her attention back to the gearworks she was working on earlier, a child she recognized from the tavern meekly peers in. "Yes, what is it? I have no toys for you today." She smiles to herself, knowing that the children are afraid of her, yet curious enough that they still come to see her. The small boy holds up a letter. He doesn't seem afraid, yet he does not speak, nor does he come closer. He just sets the paper on the barrel and back away. KiRen stands and walks over to it. She opens the paper, and looks at it. "Can you read this boy?" As he shakes his head "no", she shakes her head sadly. "We shall need to remedy that soon, little man! You do not want to live your life deprived of that skill, of that I am sure!" She reads the letter. Khonnir Baine missing... well, I expect it is one of those constructs he likes so much revealing it's true self and destroying him. But Val was always kind, and the man did let me use his forge many times, so the least I can do is come hear what she wants. And she makes a fine meal, so perhaps there is a decent stew there. Without the forge, I may be hard pressed to afford such fine dining in the days to come... "OK, boy." KiRen says, as she straps on her favored falchion, mostly just to impress the boy who she knows likes to tell stories. "Lead on, and we will go hear what Mrs. Baine has for me this day!"
It seems likely, Anjru - not only townies, but both Kellids.
"Little man, you should not fear this weather and hide. You should embrace it! Or do you just like to sit beneath horseflesh?" A large Kellid woman, wearing simple animal skins and a shiny metal breastplate visible underneath, strides up to Rowan and Aada. She appears to have a large blade strapped to her back. "I do not deny, the comforts of a shelter are often useful, but on a day like this, you should enjoy what Desna has to offer!"
Dotting in here from the original thread. EDIT: KiRen is going to start primarily as a melee character with some tech skills as well, and not be very magically inclined at all. She is basically a robot killer, who has been taught and trained to detest technology, although her underlying personality makes her much more fascinated by it than fearful. I could definitely see her becoming a gunslinger further down the road, and she should be decent with traps.
