This is correct. We're looking at ways to allow access to legacy races, but we wanted to focus on the new primary Starfinder races at release. Expect to see more announcements on how we'll be handling this in the near future!

I don't like the change that afflictions carry over to a roleplaying guild character when playing a pregen. It keeps me from playing some of the older and weaker build pregens.
I would appreciate an update of the Core Rulebook characters to today´s gaming standards and equipment. They tend to be less efficient compared to the newer pre generated characters and player made types. Game masters and other players alike seem to get unhappy if you have to play a higher level pre generated character when you don´t have a fitting one of your own.
I would have expected the influence and discovery checks to have different DCs on the different tiers. They are crucial to the encounters like combats in other modules and should be level based.
