"Yes, of course, a corporate spy..." Keskodai begins. His front mandibles are too still while his antennae quiver, both of which obvious tells for someone intimately familiar Keskodai, but difficult to discern for those not knowledgeable about Shirrens, and Keskodai in particular.

"There is one story that comes to mind. The human here, Navasai is her name, is our lead investigator." Keskodai says aloud, hoping that by speaking his slurred Basic makes it more difficult to detect his lie than responding telepathically. "Once, through her efforts, she was able to unwind a complex web of intrigue, leading to uncovering a scientist that was seeking to sell important trade secrets, the recipe to a new healing serum, to a rival corporation. Without going into the painful minutia..." the Shirren waves a three-clawed hand dismissively at the mere thought, "... she was able to return the prized sample, in tact, to our sponsor, and the rogue scientist met his demise on the other side of an airlock. As you can tell from this fully true story, our investigative team is both qualified and no-nonsense."

Keskodai feels his species' form of embarrassment as the Warden projects its emotions onto the group of "investigators." The Shirren reaches out telepathically to Navasi while attempting to not draw attention to his other vomiting companion. While I do not typically condone lying, this may be an instance where a bend of the truth may help smooth over the current social miscues. I was under the impression that Humans jumped at every chance to embellish their self worth, no? Now seems like a splendid opportunity to do so.

Warden, please forgive my colleagues, Keskodai begins, addressing the Barathu. Most of these species are not accustomed to interpreting and sending language in this fashion. The Shirren gestures one of his three-clawed hands at Navasi. This human female, in particular, sometimes struggles with telepathy, but rest assured that her accolades precede her far and wide throughout the Pact Worlds. And beyond, he adds at the last moment. After, Keskodai flashes what could possibly be recognized as a smile, his stubby mandibles showing, obviously proud of himself.

Thanks Ryan. Question (from a complete novice at Society play) - is there a reason for us to want to get credit for this session, other than if we were to want to play and advance the pre-gen at some other game?

Oh noes! I hope everyone is safe and sound.

Good to know. Also, what's the expected posting cadence? I'd imagine for us to get through a 4 hour module per month, we'd need to post a few times a week at a minimum?

"And thus ends my seven standard days of self-imposed contemplative meditation," Keskodai says in a very slurred Basic. The Shirren's natural form of communication is telepathy, making the spoken word foreign to the alien's species. "Though I quite enjoyed choosing not to communicate. Well, the choice of it anyway." Keskodai's sensitive antennae twitch ever so slightly, a signal of the pleasure receptors firing in the chitinous creature.

Keskodai hoists a large, industrial canister, roughly six inches in diameter and eighteen inches long, up to eye level using one his slender, three-clawed hands. On the other side of the clear, fortified glass, a sluggish larvae squirms, its too-large, bulbous eyes staring intently at the warden. This, Chk Chk, is what the humans call a Barathu, the Shirren telepathically sends to his larva. It is one of the stranger species that I have encountered in the Pact Worlds.

Life Sciences Check: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22

I'd assume the Envoy / face should go ahead and spin-up a lie and a bluff check to regale the warden with your exploits?

Also, given we're without weapons, does that mean that Keskodai's staff was left at the ship as well?
