So it looks like I may be RPing a solo hero and was wondering if anyone can give me your opinion on how building Solo Encounters have gone? I am not concerned about healing and all of that, more interested in how the encounters felt. It seems like it could get very repetitive with just one or two enemies each room but I would like to hear how your experience went. It would be more of a dungeon crawl and combat because that is what this player enjoys the most.
If anyone else has done this with only 2 characters I would also love to hear your thoughts.

I haven't read the whole AP yet but I was wondering if its possible to run the MegaDungeon without any of the Towns people alive. I know there is a Few times when Items are linked to Town members but other than that would anyone for see issues with Otari being deserted?

Thank You

Does the Starfinder society play any long term role in this AP? If my players don’t join how difficult does that make things?

I am just checking to see if anyone has already done the math (or I just missed where it stated it) to see where the milestones would be?

If not, I will go ahead and update what I come up with when I get to that part of preparing the adventure. Just hoping to save me some legwork if someone beat me to it. Thank You :D

Hello everyone,

I am excited to get the Crown of the Kobold King PDFs and run a new set of young gamers through it for their first real 2e adventure.

In the past when preparing for VTT I have always been able to just copy the map and paste it in a paint document then just upload that as a Map image in Roll20. But with this PDF I just keep getting the page background for every copied image. I can share the cool art or the maps unless I Screen capture the PDF and then crop out the extra stuff. This is fine for Images but doing that with the maps would mean I would need to edit out the room numbers and other things I don't want my players to see while adventuring on the map.

I do have the digital Flip map to go with it but it just gave me two maps, leaving a lot of the content out. So that doesn't help me.

Are there any suggestion or advice to get the Maps like I do when i get An Adventure path? Was this done on purpose to prevent what I am trying to do or something? I do have Foundry but I am unfamiliar with it and have a very busy life just like all of you great people so I just stick with Roll20 because that is what I am most familiar with and can whip up a map and tokens very fast.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and commenting if you choose to.

I just got done skimming through the Free download rules for the players and couldn’t find anything about an army size for the Warfare part. I am sure I am just missing it but could someone point me in the right direction? Are those stats for 25 units, 50 units, 100 units?

So I have the Pathfinder Beginner Box and it is wonderful and plan on playing it online with some new players. My question is if I purchased the PDF would that come with Maps that are blank like the way the Adventure Paths maps are? It just make loading it on Roll20 so much easier.

Thank you

But there has been no shipping of the Core book. I was expecting this on the first because I got all the other 2E books. It hasn’t been shipped and I don’t want to buy one (miss out on the PDF) and then get one from the sub later. I have been patient but now it’s the 4th and still nothing being shipped. Hard to DM when you don’t even have a book or pdf.

Anyone know what’s going on?

So my wife hates the idea of bards because they sing or play instruments. I would like to make one that can do all the things like inspire but without singing or using a flute. I like how in 2E they use occult magic so maybe that can be used in a creative manner? So no feats or class dips, just pure imagination and creativity please. Any help is welcomed.

I have been updating an old TSR adventure for 2E pathfinder (playtest rules) to DM for my close friends and family. It was in fact my first published adventure that i played and DMed.

This community has been so great to me over all these years and I would like to eventually share my very amateur rewrite of this 1995 classic.

But I don't want to get "in Trouble" because of copy right laws or anything of that nature. It would be free, bare bones, and have many changes/edits.

So is there anyone here with the knowledge of how to approach this. I will be using the original map, same names for most of the villains/locations/NPCs.

Would love some advice and maybe even a link to a guide on how best to upload the file when I am ready for easy download...or maybe just email it personally to anyone interested.

Thank all of you

2 people marked this as a favorite.

We are a family of Pathfinder Players. I DM three different groups (friends, coworkers, and family).

Well about three weeks ago they discovered 2e and now almost want to just completely retire the current games due to anticipation and excitement.

I had pondered an idea to use the playtest rules and have them roll up some characters and maybe play some dungeon crawls and what not for the next three months but given that much has/will be changing from the playtest I am not sure that is a good idea. Learning new rules just to relearn new rules can be hard.

Anyone else suffering from this "Stalemate" situation that I have found myself and my groups in?

Hey everyone. So I will be DMing a group soon and I need a picture/portrait of a human little girl from 7 to 9 years old. I don't really want a cartoony look because this is set in a Horror type of Adventure but I also don't want her looking evil or anything other then a young child.

I am having a Heck of a time finding anything good so I was hoping someone here might have something they can post to help me out.

Thank You in advanced. Cheers

Hello Paizo Community

Long time Lurker here and although I had Bought WOTR back when it was released I never actually DMed or played it. Well after our (My wife and I) wonderful STarfinder adventures we are taking a bit of a break and going to start this AP finally.

So this is what I need your help with. She is the only player and the other party members are NPCs that are controlled by me. I have a feeling many of you have had to resort to this either due to friends not available or just not enough people in the community where you live.
Now I have read how this AP can go off the rails with OPness on the account of the players getting mythic levels. The Mythic levels is also a bit appeal to this campaign so I don't want ignore it completely. Will this AP work with one Mythic Player and 3-6 NPCs?

Any examples or advice would be wonderful.

Also side question: I tend to like to incorporate the AP NPCs into the party as my Player interacts with them and it makes sense. Do any of you have suggestions on some good AP NPCs that could be used as Party members?

Thank you for your time.

I didn't see how much 1 BP for Starships are worth Credit wise. Is it 4k like in Kingmaker? Also how much is a standard StarShip? I haven't had the time to "build one" and add up all the BP so if someone has I would love to see that Number.

So I was wondering if there would be an issue or require a huge rewrite if I had the Ironfang Legion be Orcs? Same history just Orcs instead.

Also is any of the NPCs from the first book lplay any huge roles later on? I would like to make a few changes but don't want an issue in a later book.

Are there any encounters that allow my players to rescue capture town people and children?

Thank You for the input

I am wondering if there is anywhere that talks about what the "loot" is for your army marching into a town, defeating their defenses, and then just pillaging then moving on.

If there is not a set rule on this have any of you come up with a system? How would you handle it? And how would different size Cities effect the time it would take to ransack and the amount the PCs army could find?

Thank you

So my question is would this campaign be possible having only one of the PCs be a mythic hero and the rest be regular adventures? The reason why I ask this is because I only DM one player and the rest of the party is made up of NPCs and it would just seem so much cooler if that player was the only one that is a mythic and that's why the story evolves around them.

So is it possible to pull this off without a lot of trouble? Maybe have a party of 5 to make up for it? Love to hear your thoughts.
